They direct bill the insurance company, which means we don't have to worry about being the middle person or dealing with the stress of reimbursements. That alone has saved us so much time and energy. During my search, I have realized that most of the agencies have dealt with difficult situations from their own pasts, which seems to create a certain familiarity.. I know it will be challenging trying to find the right agency, and finding the right caregiver that will want to help us out on the weekends.. Erika was very helpful, but also very upfront that because of the shortage of workers, it may take some time to find someone. I am glad I called.

Their hourly fee is expensive. The In-home aid the Company sent had no training or experience with assisting anyone except perhaps a family member with dementia. We have insurance that contributes to part of the cost. The insurance requires a short form to be submitted with the assistance provided daily. The owners said we have our own form. We showed the owner what information was required. She said we will included that in our form. Their filled out form had multiple issues time after time. We paid them with a check which the owners lost, then found. We had to put a stop payment on the check. I hope there are better run services.

I was stressed as I was dealing with a lot. I googled and researched caregiver agencies in the Elk Grove/Sacramento area. I was nervous having a complete stranger watch my loved one. When I called, I was referred to someone (unfortunately, I forgot her name) but she was super helpful and empathetic. Eventually, a Care Designer named Victoria Roberts, came to evaluate my loved one and helped with all the paperwork. She was professional, asked all the right questions, and seemed very experienced. She started her search to get a caregiver come 3x/week right away, since I was on a time crunch. After discussing the situation with the rest of my family, they decided they could handle the situation and that we didn't need to spend the money. I felt horrible having to call Victoria to let her know we weren't moving forward with everything, as I knew she worked hard in trying to find a good caregiver for us last minute. I thought for sure Victoria would be angry given all the work she had to do. To my surprise, she was so kind and understanding! Plus, this was all after hours around 8pm! I was surprised on her availability to talk to me and her kindness. I slept in a recliner for 2 months in hospitals upon hospitals watching over a loved one. On top of work and everything else, I was exhausted. Victoria's kindness meant the world to me. Next time I need a caregiver, I most definitely will reach back out to Nurse Next Door.

She is getting eight hours of care a day, seven days per week! Every day is excellent. They are always on time. I mean always!! My sister is so happy when I call her. She receives three home cooked meals a day and she loves each meal, believe me. Home Care Assistance is so helpful with bathing, hygiene, safely walking in the home and meal preparation. They get her groceries and medications at the pharmacy too. I do not have to worry about my sister's care anymore. I can visit for the fun times since Home Care Assistance is so reliable and gives her the loving care she needs!! The office and billing staff are easy to work with and responsive.

They are personal with all the family members. They care about the extended family members and extend support to them. Though my grandfather has been moved to a in home facility, Justin, Carleton and his family as well as their employees have visited my grandpa in his new home and they have visited made personal visits to my grandma to visit with her and make sure she's doing alright. This time for my family has been extremely trying and tough; however this group of fine people has brought my family great comfort and support. If you are a current customer check the dates on your invoices. In fact check invoices. They sent fraudulent paperwork to my house for payment. Dates my grandmother was in a nursing home. Do not pay them without checking your dates invoices and everything!
