My car had just been smashed in a hit & run, so had to go to the body shop. Meanwhile, my Mom's old car had stopped running and needed to be towed for repairs. Caring for a cancer patient at home, by myself, I was really worried about how to get through everything. Naturally, I called AAA - that's what I pay them for, right? But $400 for a 28-mile tow?! And my insurance co.'s roadside asstc. quote was even higher! I was near panic when I began with the search engines, and GUESS WHO was the only service who listened to me and OFFERED ME the EXPERT, IMMEDIATE SERVICE that everyone else did, for half the price? Reyes! He offered immediate help, was the consummate professional and came and got the car the very next morning. RR Towing and Recovery are about as bad as it gets when it comes to scamming people stranded on the…read moreside of the road looking for roadside assistance, and it appears they have a long history of scamming as viewed online by other people's experiences. February 2026 on interstate 10, New Mexico, our motor home experienced a tire blowout. We called RR Towing who would not send anybody unless we paid in advance via Credit Card $350USD. We paid and were told someone would be there in 1.5hrs. After not showing up we called them and were told another 1.0hrs. After not showing up again we called and were told there truck had broken down and they were getting another person out and it would be another 1.0 hr. After not showing up again, now 4.0 on the side of the interstate we called again, only to be told the guy could not find us, which we found imposable to believe because we had given our GPS coordinates as-well-as very clear instructions, where we were. RR Towing gave us the phone number of there guy they claimed was looking for us, so I called him. The guy didn't speak a word of English only Spanish, so I called RR Towing and Recovery dispatcher yelling, how am I to communicate with their guy, to help him find us, if I didn't speak Spanish and he's not speaking English, the dispatcher told me to find another company. Which we did! I called RR Towing and Recovery the next day to get our Credit Card charges refunded, called 5 times and each time the phone went to Answering Machine/Call screening, suddenly now - there are not picking up. Upon our return to Canada, we disputed the Credit Card charge. To our complete shock and disbelief these scam artists fought our charge back dispute, claiming "buyer remorse" and that they had repaired the wheel and that they had even contacted my wife on her cell phone and she was completely happy with the job, even producing a made-up/fake transcript of the call with my wife, all a complete pack of lies. These people take the cake for no holes bared, what-ever-it-takes to scam money out of unfortunate motorists that find themselves stranded on the side of the interstate and are equally determined to lie, cheat and even produce fake documents, whatever it takes trying to keep the money they have scammed. Fortunately, I have proof that another company fixed our wheel that day, not RR Towing and Recovery and our bank has all the evidence it needs.

I didn't know the company was in Texas to begin with however I called them let them know that my tire had something stuck in it and it just needed to plugged. They told they can have someone there 30min to a hr. They said it would be $230 even though I knew that was a bizarre price for just plugging a tire but I was desperate and trying to get my nephew to his first team meeting at his college. They Got my coordinates and was like yeah, we know where you're at and we're about to dispatch our driver, okay cool. Then they called me back and said it was going to take 45mins cause they were doing a police call, only for them to call me back and say we won't make it to you until 9am because we're on a police call and they come first, mind you this is at 6am...I called them around 5 in the beginning! Only for these rotten bastards to call back and say we can send someone closer to you in the area but it will cost you an additional $100! so in total I payed these people $350 for a tire that just needed to be plugged, where I live that's only a $15-$20 job at most! Whenever I caught on to I was getting scammed and figured out, it was no police call and they weee never coming from the get go, it was too late! im already disputing the charge cause this is just highwa robbery! A day or two after I got it back I noticed the power steering wasn't working properly. Frustration gripped me tighter than Homer Simpson strangling his kid. I didn't want to use the same mechanic, especially after hearing one of them used my truck to get their lunch, after I was told it was in a test drive. Then I found this mobile mechanic. Anthony came out, and in less than 30 minutes he had fixed my power steering for $75. I gave him a tip, and was very relieved.
