I had an absolutely wonderful experience with this vet! My dog had been having issues with his anal glands and the situation went from bad to worse over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our normal vet was closed for the holiday weekend and I found this place online and called on Friday afternoon. The wonderful woman who answered the phone listened to all of my (anxiety filled) questions and let me know they could get him in the following morning. She not only answered all of my questions (I had a bunch!) but she really helped calm me down and gave me warning signs to look for so I would know if I needed to take him in to the emergency vet overnight. When I took him in the whole staff was wonderful, figured out the issue (plus dealt with another skin related issue my puppy had), explained how much everything would cost and set him up with all the meds he needed and a follow up appointment. I am an over dog mom for sure and I couldn't have been happier with this place! Really fabulous experience! read more

Moving from Michigan to Huntsville at first I was concerned with the level of care I was going to get compared to my previous vet. If I could leave absolutely no stars, I would. We have taken one of our dogs here before and I was a little iffy on them after that but we decided we would give them another try with our new dog just to see if it was different since they calmed they were busy last time. Our new dog had a lump towards the back of his mouth and throat so we made an appointment and we're told that we would have to come back so they could take samples and send it to a lab. This was September 15th. I called exactly 1 week later because we hadn't heard anything and a woman tells me they haven't gotten and to call back the next week. I call back the next week and they tell me the doctor had to sign something for the lab and they would give us a call when they had the results. 2 WEEKS go by and I get my husband to call because at this point I'm confused if my dog is going to be okay and wondering why we don't know anything and the woman tells him to hold on. He holds for 5/7 minutes and she comes back and reads his results. He asked that she send the results to our email. We received the results and looked at the day they received the report and it was SEPTEMBER 22nd!!! It is October 10th. Literally almost a month from the visit and they didn't care anything about our dog to let us know his well being. I have NEVER experienced such a horrible vet office in my life!! We will NEVER recommend and we will tell EVERYONE of our friends, coworkers, family members and anyone else to not use this HORRIBLE place! RUN RUN RUN FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!!! read more

First time here and it started off great. I liked the vet and staff - they seemed very caring and knowledgeable. Then they took my dog back to clip his nails. When he came back he was bleeding. They cut his quick - which it happens. Clipping nails is tough. But then the vet comes in and I think she is going to apologize or check on my dog . Instead she rushes to computer and says - oh we forgot to charge you for the clipping. So while my dog is bleeding on the floor all she cares about is getting that charge in the computer. Not once did she ask if he was ok! She never looked my dog's way. She stayed at that computer the whole time trying to adjust bill to add charge. You would think if they did a procedure that injured your pet - they wouldn't rush to charge you. Not here . So i definitely think - truly the only thing they care about is money. read more

Lots of misinformation in the beginning of our new dogs care, but could not get through for an emergency one day and had to go to another place for my dog's emergency care. Traveled away one other time and had to take her to a doctor in another state. She was cared for and when I returned I emailed Trusty to let them know what happened to her and that I may need a follow up and got no response. I wouldn't ever recommend this vet to anyone. Extremely rude staff! I sent my friend here and they were so rude to her about vaccinating her own dogs at home to the point she almost cried. My experience here was that they couldn't treat a simple skin infection on my dog when he was a puppy and basically gave up on it. I started putting coconut oil on it and saw much more improvement than what they had done! When I mentioned this to them at my next visit they just dismissed my "homeopathic treatment." Another bad experience I had with them was when my puppy had coccidia. They knew I would be boarding him as I was going on vacation the next day, and told me there wouldn't be any issues and he would be fine to board. When I dropped him off at the boarding facility I work for they told me that he shouldn't be boarding because it's very contagious! Any knowledgeable vet should have known this. They say they are affordable but overcharge on a lot of things. I have been to several inexpensive vets and my advice is you get what you pay for. Spend a little extra and take your babies somewhere else. read more

I recently pulled my 4 dogs from Trusty Vet because of a 'trust' issue. Isn't that ironic? I called for an estimate on a rabies vaccination and was told I would have to pay for $40 exam along with the $20 rabies shot. My dog has had an exam within the last year so I questioned the need for the exam. The gentleman (vet tech) told me that it was a 'law' that an exam by a vet had to accompany a rabies shot. So I called another vet that handles all my foster dogs care and was told no exam was required. So I was misled by Trust Vet just so they could get that extra $40. Now they've lost all my current and future pets. And I will let anyone who asks know what I was told. They also charge way too much for spay/neuter. read more

I was having a hard time finding a vet that could see my sick shelter pup that could work with my work hours since I work six days a week. The lady I spoke to on the phone was SUPER helpful and offered to let me drop him off and pick him back up when they finished! I was so worried about leaving him having never used them before and my Debo was newly adopted so I didn't know how he'd do, but he did great and they were really great with him!! They immediately offered to hold his leash for me while I filled out a small amount of paperwork and took him straight back. They seemed very knowledgeable and professional while still being affordable. We are going back this weekend. :) read more

I highly don't recommend this place. The prescriptions are over priced more than double of what a vet office just down the street offers. The appointments are almost useless because the entire staff seems confused. We took our dog there about 7 times to find a good amount of vetsulin to give him and to lower his blood sugar. 7 times and still couldn't get it. We ended up talking him just down the street and in 2 days they were able to get him leveled out. 2 days! Not 6.5 months. The last straw was when we were running out of Vetsulin and this place had the nerve to tell me that we needed to make an appointment and my dog needed to be seen again to get a refill! read more

If you love your pet. Don't ever come here. Here's my story. We got a puppy on Sunday. By Tuesday, the puppy starting to be lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink, so my wife took him to this clinic. She told me that the veterinarian did his whole body exam and it costs $35. The veterinarian said that the dog was fine and doesn't have parvo. So we went home. By wednesday afternoon, the puppy wasn't showing any sign of eating or improvement. My wife then took him to this same clinic, this time we did fecal and parvo test, it costs $70. The veterinarian then concluded that my puppy now has parvo. The veterinarian didn't even come out and talked to my wife about our treatment options because she was too busy on the phone. So the assistant just told my wife that she can buy the paste and stuff to help the dog and it would extra $140. But she says it just help the dog temporarily . THE ASSISTANT told my wife she can take the dog to the hospital, which costs $1800 to treat. We're both college students so that's an impossible option. This clinic didn't even work with us and gave us no assistance in other options. The veterinarian failed to do her job. We had to find other home remedies online that night to treat our dog. We kept him hydrated throughout the night with electrolytes and other stuff. I stayed up until 6:30 in the morning hydrating him every 30 to 50 minutes. I took a nap for 4 hours. By the time I woke up, my PUPPY HAS DIED. He was dehydrated for 2 days because the veterinarian failed to diagnose him correctly or didn't care to. We were hopeless, misinformed, and was too late to help him. Don't make the same mistake as we did. DON'T COME TO THIS CLINIC. Updated IN REPLY TO THE COMMENT BELOW: First of all, nobody would bring a dying puppy into a clinic and expect to schedule appointment for the next day. Also, there were not any mention of the puppy being extremely dehydrated and dying from the vet. In fact, her assistant was the person who carrying the messages back and forth while the vet is on the phone. If I know that my dog is dying that night and was extremely dehydrated, I would do anything I can. All the assistant offered was a $270 of temporary treatment plus recommended $1800 hospitalization and we still have to pay $70 for parvo test. If the Vet have came out and told the owner of a dying dog that "Your dog is dying, and he needs fluid right away", we would do everything to save it. Instead she told her assistant to tell my wife, that the dog has parvo and it's contagious and recommended $270 for temporary treatment (which does not guarantee to work). Who would pay close to 300 dollars for treatment that may not work recommended by an assistant. Again, there was no mentioning of the puppy has extreme DEHYDRATION. When the puppy showed up on Tuesday and you told the owner that you don't think the puppy has parvo because you found no blood in his rectum, why would the owner get a parvo test. We had to get a parvo test on Wednesday, because the vet misdiagnosed him on Tuesday. You can't expect an owner to know everything about animals treatment when they come to you (especially with a dying dog), you should educate and inform us, instead of being on your phone. About you giving us a pamphlet about parvo virus information, all I can say is nobody who has cancer and goes to the doctor and expect to go home with a pamphlet about cancer treatment. You didn't even inform us about the home treatment on the pamphlet because you weren't even there on Wednesday talking to my wife. First thing you need to fix is you need to have more care for the animal who is dying. You were not concern about my puppy. read more

My dog has been a patient here for three years and for the past year, every time it is time for an appointment we have been met with unprofessional staff at the front desk. Today it was Veronica was rude, unprofessional, and not empathetic at all! In addition she refused to hand me my receipt and preventative in hand! She also failed to follow up with paperwork she insisted that I fill out when we first walked in. The vet misdiagnosed my puppy the first day I came in so I took him back the next day because he wasn't feeling any better and found out he had parvo but it was too late, he passed away that night. After going to school for a long time you would think a vet could've figured that he had parvo the first day I came in. Also, this place is not affordable, they will pile anything on you and charge you for extra stuff. At the end of the day, the vet only cares about your money, not your fur babies. Great vet! We just moved to the area and wanted to get our dog in to see a vet for a check up. They got us an appointment in a timely manner, called to remind us, etc. Our appt was this morning and it was great. The facility was very very clean and the tech and vet was extremely nice and knowledgeable. They gave us suggestions for groomers and boarders in the area and lots of other good to know info being new to the area. Their prices are very affordable as well!!! read more

My visit on a Friday took two hours (despite only one other person being in the waiting room the entire time, for a quick 15 minute appointment) for routine vaccinations, one thyroid re-check, and standard flea/tick medications. I have a very busy schedule, so I wanted to get everything done for my two dogs as much as possible. I was asked once, "Are you sure you want to get all that done at once?", which was code for "this is going to be really expensive". A quick price estimate should have been provided. After everything, I paid $852, and my older dog's thyroid medication was not included (I was given 7 days of thyroid meds) since the blood work wasn't back in yet. I have had this same thyroid medication for my dog for years, and the dose change after the blood work results hardly changed (seems mostly based on body weight). I asked for a student or veteran discount, but they do not offer one. I also was frustrated after being in a small waiting room with my dogs, and not getting my thyroid medication to boot. I asked why the total was so high, since I didn't even get my dog's thyroid meds, and the tech asked "why" (with a great condescending undertone). I had to order through their pharmacy (or drive in person to pick it up with my busy work/college/business schedule) for the thyroid meds. I will not be back. Please do not reply to my review with a response, as I am sure it will not satisfy me in the least. Have a great day! read more

Took my cat here for a really nasty ear infection. Doctor and techs were very nice and patient with him. Cost me about $150 which is not too bad considering all they had to do (run culture, shave around his ear, give him a steroid shot, and they clipped his nails for me) and this included the antibiotics. Also they got him in the same day, which meant alot to me because I know he was hurting. read more

I took my dog in to get him started on heart guard. The vet tech was great, very friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable. The vet took her time with his examination and was very detailed. You could tell they were passionate about their job and animals by the way the cuddled my little dog. Their facility was very clean and new. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. Dr Bradshaw doesn't seem to have much compassion for animals to be honest. Seems like a money thing for her. My dog was diagnosed with an ear infection in both ears on Aug 28th. The medicine she gave us to take home was supposed to have been administered 1 week after the 1st dose at the clinic. The nurse gave me bad info and told me to give the next dose 3 weeks later. Needless to say 1.5 weeks later I noticed my dog scratching his ears like the infection was back. So I called Trusty Vet to be sure that waiting another 2 weeks was a good idea and that's when is when they discovered their error. The nurse got very defensive and basically just made excuses like "accidents happen". When I finally did speak to Dr Bradshaw, she was very "sorry but accidents happen" kind of attitude. Very flippant attitude. I went back Sep 25th for the follow up visit and cytology tests and Dr Bradshaw says all clear in the right ear and still a small amount of yeast in the left ear. She told me to get Claritin 10 mg tabs and cut in 1/2 to give to him and out the door we go. At this point I'm in it for $175, but worth it if his infections are gone. My poor dog never stopped scratching at both ears and after 4 days of watching this, I had enough. Dr Bradshaw (via the nurse) refused to check his ears for infections, but now wanted to do tests on skin allergies that she insists he magically started getting all of a sudden. I decided to go for a 2nd opinion to Cornerstone Animals Hospital and sure enough.........both ears have the infection. So another $95 at that vet and I can only pray that this does that trick for my poor little guy. Trusty Vet did reimburse me $30 for 2 of the 4 viles of medicine. They took no responsibility other than that. read more

I echo the sentiments of Kristin Kennedy Pearson, another individual who reported issues with Trusty Vet. DO NOT repeat DO NOT, take your pet to see "Dr." Bradshaw, if indeed, she is a vet. I say that as we have 4 cats, have seen numerous vets over the years, and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and disregard. Today we took our cat, Isabella, for another glucose curve (have had several there), to assess her blood sugar level and to have her insulin dosage adjusted if necessary. We called at around 1030 and were told that her blood sugar level was over 400. Her levels remained high all day. At 1630, we drove to the vet clinic to pick her up and were put in a waiting room to talk with Dr. Bradshaw who never came. After waiting 40 minutes, it became apparent that she had no interest in speaking with us. We saw her at the computer and when she saw me, she declared that she had 2 other patients waiting and that she would be going home afterward. I told her that I had 2 quick questions, and she told me she had no intention of answering them, that Dr. Pinto was Bella's doctor, and that we could return tomorrow. I told her that this was not the right answer at which point she loudly and rudely stated, "Goodbye, I said you can talk to Dr. Pinto tomorrow. Isabella is not my patient." My contention is that if the clinic accepted Bella as a patient, provided services, and accepted payment, she is INDEED a patient, and Bradshaw was the only vet on duty. She continued to argue, tried to cut me off, and again, had ample time to answer my questions but was determined that she would not do so which led me believe that her veterinary knowledge was limited. Our discourse was heated and created a scene in the clinic, and the demeanor of the office staff suggested that this might be typical behavior for this vet. She certainly appeared to enjoy being "large and in charge" and did not care what image she projected. I am not a pushover nor did I accept this condescending behavior. My husband is 81 and I am 71, and her assumption that we can continue driving to the clinic is presumptuous on her part.....or that we, as an elderly couple, will be subservient and take our sick cat and go home. She showed no concern, compassion, or respect for us or Isabella. As Belle's blood sugar levels were very high (400+), I commented that she obviously did not care if she returned home and died, and that I would never allow her to touch one of my pets again. I felt that she was incompetent and was unable to answer 2 simple questions, the reason she refused to address my concerns. I am livid, insulted, and will make sure that I do everything in my power to insure that no other customer and their pet are treated with such contempt and disrespect. I put the life of my beloved pet in her care, and she fumbled her duties and failed miserably. What exactly does she think her job is?? I fully intend to report her and the clinic which she represents to the American Veterinarian Medical Association (AVMA) and Better Business Bureau tomorrow. After we left the office and at approximately 1815, she called our home and my husband answered the phone. She offered a weak apology and said she was stressed with other patients. No excuse and too late. THIS IS HER JOB AND WHAT SHE GETS PAID TO DO. Her true character and colors have shown themselves, and her nasty, rude attitude has no place in our lives or Isabella's life. I fully expect an apology from the owner of this clinic and request that this employee be disciplined for her lack of professionalism and conduct unbecoming. I am still in shock that we were treated with such disregard and not allotted 30 seconds with this so-called doctor to answer 2 simple questions about our pet who has a life threatening illness.....and especially after we were placed in a waiting room, sat for 40 minutes, and she did not have the common decency to even acknowledge our presence. We certainly did not place ourselves in the waiting room waiting for the results of Bella's tests and a discussion with the veterinarian. Of course the clinic had no problems with time when it came to accepting payment and swiping our Visa card!!! Customers deserve better. I worked as a professional in government service for over 30 years and would not remotely consider being rude to an internal or external customer. "Dr." Bradshaw obviously does not understand that the veterinary profession might be a stressful environment, and if she is unable to cope, she should do the public a great service by changing professions and not endangering pet lives. Offering a flimsy, half-hearted apology after-the-fact does not cut it in my book, and I feel the only reason she called our home is that I informed her I fully intended to report her outrageous behavior. It goes without saying that I will be seeking veterinarian services elsewhere. We did take Bella to another clinic today and received exceptional service. read more

My puppy and I have had wonderful experiences with Trusty Vet. We recently moved out of the Huntsville area and can sadly no longer go to Trusty Vet. It has been in my search for a new vet that made me realize how truly amazing this vet practice is. I was initially skeptical of a vet marketed as "affordable." However, I quickly discovered my concerns to be unfounded. The facility is clean and modern with advanced equipment. The doctors are very knowledgable. They were very thorough in his visits, explained things very well, and answered any questions I had. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Everyone was extremely sweet with my pup and treated him well. I remember being so impressed after our first visit. My dog still plays with the little toy that came in his goodie bag as a new patient. We visited multiple times for vaccinations, neutering, and various other reasons during our time there. Each visit was affordable, and I always felt confident that they were providing him with the best care. I wish there were more places like Trusty Vet to care for our pets. These vets are rare, so if you are in the Huntsville area, I highly recommend taking advantage of this great vet practice. read more
