I went here over a year ago and at first was super excited. The vibe is cool, the atmosphere is nice, the workers were super friendly. I set up a basic consultation and talked with an artist about what I wanted. Then, I paid my down payment and scheduled the appointment. That day arrives, and my artist just... wasn't there? For whatever reason? So they had me go with another artist, Jeff, which I thought was fine. He did okay, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted either. The line work is shaky and pale, and the color blending left much to be desired. He gave me contact info to keep in touch during the healing process. I had texted a few times saying that I thought my tattoo looked infected, and he said it was fine. Skip forward a week, and there's pus oozing out of it--yup, it was infected. I took care of the infection on my own from resources from other tattooed individuals. Now there's a big splotch of color missing in the tattoo. On August 31, 2020, almost a year after I got the tattoo, it's infected again in a different spot. The tattoo again was infected earlier this year in May 2021. Maybe I just had a weird experience, but my experience definitely wasn't as great as everyone else who's reviewed this place was. I'd picked here since it was one of the highest rated in the area, but I regret that choice now. read more

I had been wanting to have both of my nipples pierced for some time and finally made an appointment with Stan. I have had five tattoos done before, but this was my first ever piercing and I was very anxious about it. I had an appointment for 3:30pm but Stan was running behind, which didn't help my anxiety, so I didn't get back into the room until 4:10 or so. But Stan immediately put me at ease and talked me through the procedure, and even engaged me in some small talk to take my mind off of what was happening. While there certainly was pain, it wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected, and I attribute a lot of that to Stan's experience and technique. After the procedure was complete he ensured I wasn't light headed or having any issues before allowing me to leave and he answered all of my questions about aftercare and follow-up. It's been only 24 hours now since my piercing, but the pain has subsided and they seem to be doing well already. I definitely recommend seeing Stan for all of your piercing needs, as his vast experience and "bedside manner" made this a great experience for me. read more

I have to rave about this tatoo studio and it's staff!!! First of all I went into TRX about 6 months ago. I wanted to have a couple of phrases put on the inside of both forearms. : ) I was aproached By my still Ink Artist, (incredible artist period!!!), Anna Spitz. Well, Her work is just AMAZING!!! My left arm is now an entire sleeve and my right arm has at present: 11 absolutely beautiful pieces!!! I walked in for a piercing on a Thursday evening feeling nervous and intimidated, but the nerves melted away as soon as I stepped in the door. The building was clean, charismatic, and smelled great. The people behind the desk were attentive and clearly knowledgable about the services that they offered. They helped me make a decision about my piercing that was in my best interest. Extremely friendly and helpful. I was pierced by Stan, who I give a 10/10 rating. He made me feel comfortable from the moment that I stepped into his room- it truly felt like I was the most important person in the building! He was EXTREMELY knowledgable about the piercing, the healing process, and the do's and don't's of the entire thing. He was able to answer all of my questions with extreme detail. I went in today for my first tattoo, based on a friend's recommendation. My tattoo was nothing fancy, just a set of numbers on the inside of each wrist. I was really nervous about it, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I changed my design size twice and asked a lot of stupid questions, but my artist (Amelia) was as nice as humanly possible. She worked quickly, but she didn't rush, and was very patient when I asked to her to stop for a second so I could take a breather. She carried on an interesting conversation that distracted me from the pain, but she was always very focused on her work. I am extremely pleased with how my tattoos turned out and it was a fantastic experience. I'm already planning my next tattoo and I recommend TRX very highly. read more

I can not begin to explain how cool and friendly the staff is that works here. I came in for what was supposed to be a simple decision on a nose stud. Unfortunately I dropped the gold stud down the drain at a local restaurant while attempting to put it in. I came back to TRX tattoos to see if I could rebuy the item. Their piercer, Stan, came with me to the local restaurant near TRX tattoo to ask if he could take a look down their drain for the gold nose stud. To my amazement the restaurant said yes and Stan found the nose stud! He took it back to be cleaned properly and then put it in for free. He was so sweet and went ABOVE and BEYOND what I would have ever expected. Some special people definitely work here! read more

I've had all my piercings except my original lobes done by Stan and he does a wonderful, professional job. The piercing itself is very quick, so it's less painful, and he's very gentle. I've never gotten an infection from any of my piercings from here. The shop is very clean. Stan is also very nice and chatty so it makes you less nervous for the piercing itself. I have also gotten my nose piercing changed to a glass retainer in order to have surgery and it was very quick to come in and have it changed out to glass and then back to my original jewelry. I plan on coming back for more piercings in the future. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the St. Louis area. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I have gtten a couple tattoos, and a few piercings here. All of the artists here are amazing. I got my first tattoo here, about 7 years ago, and it still looks amazing. They also said that if I ever need a touchup, to come in and get it done for free. The only downside is the prie. They are pretty pricey, but they do good work so I think its worth it. Also, you should call way ahead of time of when you want to come in. Because they are almost always booked, and if you walk in there will be a long wait. I dont think thats a bad thing, obviously if they have that muhc business they must be doing something right. read more

Went there today for my first ever piercing. I got a PA done by Stan and he is absolutely a master at his craft. It was literally over before I knew it and perfect. He was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. The front staff was no exception. They had no problem getting people to the right person in the shop that knows the most about your inquiry. I could not have felt more comfortable in a business or more taken care of. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a piercing or just a unique shopping experience. GO THERE. I got my thigh piece done about 6 months ago at TRX and my experience was AMAZING. My artist was Amanda Pepper and she was great about sitting down with me and getting a clear idea about what I wanted! She drew up a sketch after our meeting and it was like she pulled the idea right out of my head. The color and quality are breath taking! I could not have asked for a better first tattoo experience. The place was awesome- they care about presentation and it shows. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. I was tattooed by Laura- her work is amazing, she clearly knows what she's talking about, and I was completely comfortable through the whole experience. If your artists or piercers are anything like your rude counter agents, it's not worth spending money here. Save face an go to another shop where you'll be treated with decency and respect. If no stars were an option I'd definitely choose that instead. Believe me I will be telling the vast majority of people I know who frequent your shop as regulars about this experience as not to give money to a place that doesn't care about the customer. $$$ is all you all see. read more

I was a walk in and a little nervous about being talked into something I didn't really want (it happens). However, Dustin E. was incredibly helpful, not pushy and very informative. My wife decided she wanted her nipples pierced, she asked me to the do the research so I did and found JEZZY. My wife was supper nervous but TRX and specifically JEZZY made that go away quickly, very clean place and all of the artists/piercers wear scrubs.
