They are great for training or small sided games. Leagues, tournaments and clinics are offered year-round and are especially valuable during the winter months. There are leagues for every skill level including men's, women's, co-ed, over 35, etc. This is also a home for Sports Tots, a parent-child program that introduces toddlers to various sports including soccer, football and basketball. My son and I went through the Soccer Tots program and had a blast! Here's the kicker: You just cant' beat the location. Parking is easy with all of the decks for CPCC around. That backdrop....Man. On a good night, the sunset behind the Charlotte skyline is unmatched. Each time makes a memory. The stadium is beautiful. Layered with old stone and old walkways. I love the feeling of walking through the gates. It always makes me feel like I'm attending some historical sporting event each time. The bathrooms are rather dated. Gents, hope you don't mind troughs instead of urinals! Love this stadium and RELEASE THE HOUNDS!

We went to the stadium with a group of friends to see the Charlotte Independence vs Naples. The…read moresecurity to get in the stadium is extremely rigid, several ladies with very small purses had to take theirs back to the car. Ladies I would suggest not even bringing a purse. At the box office we all requested tickets behind the visitor bench since we were there to support a friend on the Naples team. We sat down behind the Naples bench. Also that area was shady and it was over 90 degrees and sunny. Next thing we know security is saying we can't sit there and escorts us to out in the hot sun and puts up a chain to block us from the shaded area. We inquired with several staff members but were not allowed to sit where we had asked and paid for. Also we had some seniors with us so I"m just glad no one got a heat stroke since it was super hot. I get that we were supporting the visitor but we were made to feel very unwelcome by the staff and security.

I love rooting on the team and hear the moms and dads cheering on their kids. This park isn't in the best shape but community of players, coaches, and parents definitely makes up the atmosphere! While the kids practice you can walk or run around the facility (~1 mile completely around the park). The only minor knock on the facilities is the limited bathrooms/dependence on porta-potties. However the people and the parents we've encountered at Steele Creek are all top notch and know what family/community is about. This is a great association for families. We really lucked up by moving to this area of Charlotte.
