I was actually looking for a birthday gift for a friend and was thrilled to find a large selection of unique collectibles and hand painted decorative items. I spent at least 15 minutes checking out the hand painted martini and wine glasses, and I ended up selecting a "Princess" themed glass for my friend. I then looked at the cards and picked out a cute hand-cut one to go with it. My mom ooh'd and ahh'd at the array of hand painted suns and crosses that decorate the walls at Tapestry.

If you are ever in the market for a neat lamp, her husband makes them and they are amazing. All kinds of unique pieces turned into lamps. This is my go-to spot if I need a gift for my mom, sister etc or just something for myself :) She also does events with local Hamilton businesses. I had never heard of Sea Love until I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a Psych trivia night. As…read morea "psych-o" (a Psych fan), I was all in! It was not a trivia night like I was used to, but it was awesome! It was more of a candle making session 3 rounds of Psych trivia questions. They had themed mocktails and a made themed candle! It was so fun! The candle making process was SO much fun too! They get you set up with an apron and then show you how to mix and match scents that you might want. There are over 100 different scents to choose from! You also get to choose which size/color your candle jar you want. The pricing goes by the size of the candle, with the small ones starting around $38. After you choose your scents and jar, you go to your seat and then they instruct you on pouring the right amount of oil(s) for the size candle you are making. As you pour your oil until you get it to the right blend that you want, you stir the oil in the little measuring cup. After that, they help you with attaching the wick in the bottom of the jar. After that, you get some time to name your candle, make your label for it, and put the scent mixture label on the bottom. The last step is pouring in the oils and the hot wax! They give you a beaker of the hot wax depending on the size jar of your candle. You pour your oils in first and the hot wax on top. You then mix the wax and oils until they are well blended. After that happens, they give you a pair of "chopsticks" to put around your wick to keep it standing up while it curates. It takes 2 hours to curate. If you don't have the 2 hours, you can come back another day to pick it up. This was such a cool experience! I want to do a girls night out with it! In addition to this, the staff was AMAZING! Lily was super crazy helpful. She ran the trivia night. I won the trivia night in the time slot I was at. The prize was a wax melt and some popcorn. I ended up purchasing some other things to bring home!

I needed to find an unusual gift that made a statement. I had almost forgotten how well stocked the shop is and the variety of merchandise. The best part is the phenomenal staff. Jane patiently walked me through the store, listening to my need and helping me find the perfect gift that would not be found all over. Then I was told the owner herself takes the gift to be mailed. Lisa took my gift to three places to find the least expensive way to mail, all of them high. She then notified me of the exorbitant prices to see if I wanted to proceed. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I am trying to be brief - just wander the shop and see the clothes, things you didn't know you needed, gifts, jewelry, at all price points, or just go and be greeted by warm smiles and get A+ personal service. .

They have two counters where you can make your own candle scent. It is so fun!!!! You tell them six scents you like and pick a container. They all cost about $25 for a medium sized candle. Then mix away. The counter hosts offer support during the whole process. Wax is poured and you label. Two hours later you can return to pick up the set candle. My kid mixed mango, orange and lavender- I am shocked by the amazing scent!!!! It's FIRE!!!! Party space is available and they sell a variety of personal items or premade candles also. This of course is very understandable but It would make more sense if there was some signage or testers available. In most stores this is a normal thing to do. Afterwards she came back and guilt tripped us saying this is how she takes care of her family and our actions were "unacceptable". I came on Dec 23rd with a box of 12 fleeces and he didn't even flinch at the fact that I needed them next day. The prices are reasonable and the service is phenomenal. People like that reviewer are the ones that email once and then leave a bad review. I would recommend calling or going in -- you won't be disappointed. I got there at opening time on Christmas Eve and there were several people picking up so I know they were busy and yet, it all got done and the quality of the work was excellent. Highly, highly recommend and I am so grateful to have a place like this to get my company's attire done.
