I have never come across a dentist who took the time to do this in such a methodical and compassionate manner. Both he and his daughter , Dr. Caitlin Chung,his daughter,( also a dentist) impressed me with the same level of kindness and personal attention. The biggest concern to this clinic is the front desk. From speaking to the young lady I've had only negative experiences. I have a surgery coming up and the lack of effort from the desk workers are very overwhelming. Looking to update and hopefully give a 5 star edit once the procedure is completed. I highly advise this company to train the front desk for all information they should already know and understand what customer service is really supposed to be like. He was told that they would be charging him a cancelation fee and asked if that "makes him change his mind". He told the woman "they needed to do what they had to do" and that was the end of it. She called back shortly after to tell him "we can not see you again at this office." He is seeing this dentist via the VA Community Care program and this is complete discrimination against veterans plain and simple. They should be removed immediately from the list of VA Community Care Providers and penalized for the complete unprofessionalism and targeted mistreatment of the veteran community. He will be filing a complaint against them through the VA as well as the BBB. This can not continue. Veterans deserve better. And we are going to make sure that happens.

Type of care I am in the initial stages of an extraction and implantation and so far so good. I called on a Friday and said I had an abscess that needed attention, the very friendly staff were able to sneak me in during their busiest time of year the following Tuesday which was miraculous. I arrived at the facility that was clean, warm, and nice. The staff were patiently thorough while doing my work up with a kind demeanor and keen attention to detail taking copious notes. Care quality The doctor took extra time going over all of the different options I had at my disposal and rating the pros, cons, and expense of each so that I was equipped with comprehensive knowledge and realistic expectations of all the treatment options he could provide which I appreciate greatly. There was no up sell or hurrying through material though I am sure he has given the same bits of knowledge a million times lol. I would recommend anyone go here for any dental needs. Office experience As luck would have it I cut my finger inside my pocket of my work uniform on accident just as I walked into the lobby. The staff bandaged me up and were attentive to all my needs from start to finish. I am really not the type to be insincere or disingenuous and this is definitely the longest review Ive ever written. Do yourself a favor and choose Dr Cary for your dental needs. -martin 13 DEC 23 Okay I don't know who your orthodontist is but you need to trade up. I went in for an extraction and a bone graft because of an abscess in my back right bottom molar(Gross I Know but its pertinent). I already have an infection in my mouth but that didn't stop Dr. Cary from using the highest sterility standard I have ever seen before. This wasn't the usual bib with a chain like I've always had everywhere else. He made his staff take extra time and redo the setup and sterilization on my mask when he noticed a possibility of contamination. I didn't even notice that there was anything amiss but out of an abundance of caution and attention to detail Dr. Cary wanted to be sure. That is exactly how I do my job and what I want from anyone doing work on me I give kudos and high praise for that follow through and meticulousness. Once in the chair they put a gown over my torso so that only my face was showing through, and then sanitized my face and mouth with a wipe. I have never seen any other orthodontist or dentist do this and I have been to at least 4 different ones. He has the highest standards I've experienced yet and twice as much decorum. What was supposed to take two hours or less took three plus hours because my teeth are abnormally difficult to work with and I have been told this by every dentist my whole life including the two in my family. I knew he was in for a fight but didn't tell him as I wanted to test him as is my custom lol. He passed with flying colors and was apologizing to me for "So long". He should have charged me extra for the hassle and the extra time he had to put in, But he didn't because he is a good and gracious man which is hard to find in the medical field if I do say so myself and I do. So all in all I got the work done at a discount. Furthermore throughout the entire process he answered all of my questions and went into great detail. I threw everything I had at him even getting into preposterous hypothetical scenarios, and he was so kind and genteel patiently addressing all of my concerns. I cannot stress enough how fastidious he is and how paramount that is. I am in day two of recovery and I have zero pain. That has never happened before and I've had several teeth pulled. I worked all day without any pain and just mild soreness which is great because I hate pain medication. The reason there is no pain 24 hours after having my bone scraped out is because of this mans attention to detail. You must choose Cary Dental, no one is a harsher judge of character than I am, and I find no fault in this man. He is now my tooth guy and I got my grandmother to trade up also. Do yourself a favor and trade up to Cary Dental. He has forced me to raise my standards and expectations which is very hard to do. -martin

Hands down the best dentist I've ever seen…read more I'm new to Tualatin so when the time came to see a dentist, I had to search for a dentist online, at the last minute, without recommendations, on a Saturday, all while in pain from neglecting my teeth. It was like someone was looking out for me for having found this practice. Dr. Travis Evans and his assistants were kind, gentle and very knowledgeable and I felt welcomed right away. Unfortunately, and I knew this would be serious, I needed a root canal. All went well and I was satisfied with all the work and really impressed with all the hi-tech instruments used. On another of my visits this year, I had to bring my 2 year old because I had no alternative. They were completely accommodating and let my daughter play in their play area. Their head dentist wasn't busy and helped out by showing my daughter how to brush her teeth on a stuffed animal with realistic teeth and gave her balloons. They even sent me a note to congratulate my husband and I for delivering our second baby this year. I can't think of many other places that are that caring. I was loyal of 20+ years to my old dentist, but won't be going back! I had a second crown done with Dr. Appelhans and it was a pleasant experience (as much as it could be!). I had a lot of anxiety with my first crown at another dentist that left me very nervous. However, Dr. Appelhans and her team provided options to me for anxiety and made sure I was comfortable, even with a warm blanket! The chairs there also are heated and have massage options. I did have to call when my temporary crown fell off because I was chewing gum (whoops!) and Dr. Appelhans answered the after hours call by calling me back right away to help me (I was surprised I actually heard from her and not someone in her place). I came back for my permanent crown and it was easy and had a teeth cleaning also that day. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend! Thank you Dr. Appelhans and team!
