We've been making the trek to Tuckamony from philly for 4 years now and always leave happy- so happy that i had to leave my first yelp review when i saw all the complaints. As those reviews mentioned, this is not your typical, well manicured, tree farm- so if you're looking for neatly trimmed trees, all laid out in perfect rows then this is probably not the tree farm for you. But if you're okay with putting on your boots, working your way around some brambles and enjoy getting lost among trees while you spend a couple hours hunting for your favorite then maybe you'll like this place as much as we do. The fire pit, craft store and concession is a nice touch. Staff have always been helpful and courteous. And yes, there are some mantis egg cases to look out for- we always pocket a few and bring them home to our garden. read more

We literally make the trip to/from Brooklyn for this place. Visiting to get our Christmas tree is always a memorable family experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great selection of trees, and at least once I remember hot food/drink which was a wonderful winter treat. read more

I was down in BucksCo visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided to pick up a tree on my way back to NYC. A friend suggested Tuckamony as a way to avoid the crowds at some of the other "farms" in the area. I was extremely happy with the experience. Yes, it was a bit on the rustic side, but it was charming, not annoying. The fields are a little tricky to navigate, and you have to hunt a bit to find the perfect tree, but it only adds to the fun. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with choosing a type of tree and pointing you in the right direction. Plus, it's dog friendly and the hot cider was delicious. Dress warm, throw on your boots and go have fun. Note: they supply the saws and they take credit cards. read more

I was very disappointed. My family came to cut down our own Christmas Tree. The trees where patchy and brown. The pre-cut ones were very expensive and not worth it. After about 2 hours walking around ( add on an additional hour for the drive), we all left and grabbed a pre-cut tree from a lot around the house. I will not return. read more

This place had pretty good reviews and we like to go to cut-it-yourself farms to get Christmas trees. It was an incredibly disappointing experience. The tree selection didn't exist and the weeds in the fields were taller than most of the tree. The trees that were there had obviously not been well cared for or shaped while they were growing and they were planted much to close together. We walked the entire lot of field 2 and found one or two trees there was even possibilities, but would have been on the low scale of adequate and certainly not worth $59. They did have a number of pre-cut trees that were obviously shipped in from somewhere else (my guess would be another distribution farm but possibly one of their other fields that weren't open to the public). These trees had a much better shape. I have to say, despite a serious lacking in tree quality, the staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful. There was also a sweet dog named Cooper walking around greeting the patrons. Bottom line - if you are looking for the cut-your-own-tree experience this is not the place to come. We ultimately bought one of the pre cut trees that was as nice as one you could buy in a lot somewhere. I wouldn't come back here for a Christmas tree. read more

We sweat by this place for our Christmas trees. The precut ones are superb and there is an option to cut down your own. Employees are extremely helpful and go above and beyond. Despite what the other farms offer, we will get our trees here in the future no matter what. read more

Very nice, family friendly place. There are several parking lots with corresponding fields. near each parking lot, there is a sales stand and workers to help tie and load your tree if you want. They kind of leave everybody alone and let them do their thing, but if you ask them, they are very helpful in describing how it works and which types of trees are in which lots/area's, etc. They also have everything you need to cut, tie, and load your tree. Some of the fields go pretty far back and there is a wide variety of sizes/shapes/quality, but plenty of good ones to be had for sure and finding the right one is kind of the fun of it. Id recommend wearing gloves as some of the surrounding shrubs and weeds can be sharp but it gives the experience that you are picking a tree out of the wild. Even the snack bar wasn't half bad (they had fresh cut fries). The prices are pretty reasonable as well. This year anything under 10 ft was 59 bucks. Great experience overall! read more

I used to enjoy taking my family here for years, however this place has gone down hill recently. The service is not up to par and I was not impressed. People are rude here. Don't waste your gas or time at this place when there are so many other great farms locally. read more

So disappointed. Trees were planted too close together, resulting in trees being misshapen, bare on one side, extremely sparse. Trees were not sheared and shaped. Fields were horribly maintained - Weeds were outrageous! Some Christmas trees had Holly, Arbs, etc growing up out of them. Tall thicket and thorns were everywhere. We did settle on a tree (Primarily because our 3yr old didn't understand why we were leaving without one) and once we got it home and up we had to pick out the leaves and vines...NEVER experienced this before. Such a shame, given the field size and history of this farm this could have been a wonderful experience if owners would be willing to put in a little TLC. Wait, wait....that was putting it nicely, I really meant to say work, put in a little work. Will NOT be going back, willing to pay twice as much to a farm that maintains and cares for their trees. read more

This place was an absolute embarrassment. It's a tradition in our house to cut our own tree every year on black Friday. We decided to stay closer to home and found this tree farm. We went to their first lot, and after being stuck by thorn bushes, and walking through overgrown weeds for an hour, saw trees that looked like Charlie Brown trees or half dead we found out there was a second lot. We searched an extra hour on this lot because by this point we were determined to find something. Finally.....2 hours later we found a tree. After we drug it to the front the gentleman let us know to be on the lookout for praying mantis nests. Oh....that just made my trip even more exciting. So needless to say.....we will never, ever, ever be back! Also FYI.....they do not have a shaker. Ugh!!!!!!!! read more

Only one word describes keeping a Christmas tree farm open when there are no viable options to cut down. The word that comes to mind is greed. No trees but they gladly sell you concessions after you spend hours searching for a tree that doesn't exist. Waste of time. Even if they have a great selection of trees next year their greed will keep me from coming back. read more

All the trees are $59 which is not cheap at all. The Trees are crap and die about 3 weeks after you cut it down because the farm does not water them. I had to go to home depot to get another tree because there were only sticks left. DO NOT GO TO THIS FARM!!!!!! read more

The best Christmas tree farm I have ever had the joy of visiting! Tuckamony Farm had a very large selection of Christmas trees to choose from. The staff was EXTREMELY knowledgeable on different tree species which helped us make a decision on the perfect tree. When we arrived a member of the Crooks family gave us an introduction of all types of trees on the farm and where they were located. It felt as if we had our own little tour guide. The farm had fire pits with hot chocolate which was a bonus. It has always been important for me to shop local - especially around the holidays! This family owned farm was just what we needed to get into the holiday spirit. I plan on getting my tree here every year :) read more

This by far the worse tree farm we've ever purchased from! Drove over an hour for a blue spruce. Pickings were very slim but we were able find one we could live with and cut it down, only to find the farm does not have agree shaker. My house is now infested with spiders and some kind of gnat. Throwing tree out and a waste of $60. Off to our local farm tomorrow. read more

We are constantly searching for Christmas tree farms that do NOT trim, prune & shape their trees past the point of being natural to the point of being so shaved-looking that you can only "lay" ornaments on them, not hang them. We prefer trees with enough space between branches that we can hang ornaments all the way thru to the trunk, & NOT what we refer to as "umbrella trees" - trees which have been shaped to look like half-opened umbrellas. We were thrilled to have found Tuckamony Farm & the trip from NJ to PA in the snow was absolutely worth it. The people were amazingly friendly & incredibly knowledgeable about all their trees in all 3 fields on the farm. Yes, the paths were sometimes covered with bramble or the terrain between rows uneven, but the trees were more than worth it. No cookie-cutter trees here. These people do not have the hubris most other tree farms now have by thinking they can improve upon nature & "create" the "perfect" Christmas tree via mega-pruning & shaping. Nature by itself is perfect, & the real beauty of a Christmas tree is when it looks natural & non-"engineered". Such a shame so many people in this country have been taken in by marketing & brain-washed into believing that only "umbrella trees" from pristine, manicured lots are worth buying. There are so many beautiful trees at Tuckamony Farm that we didn't know where to look first! We ended up with a gorgeous tree sold to us by the friendliest people we've ever dealt with in any Christmas tree transaction.
