When I'm in the area, I always make it a point to stop in here. I really love this store. What makes it unique is that they have so many different varieties of samples to try. You can walk around and help yourself to many different tastings of Flavored Olive Oils, Flavored Vinegars, Flavored Honeys, and an array of different Flavored Mustards. The Ginger Honey Mustard, Cranberry Honey Mustard, Peach Honey, and Raspberry Honey were some of my favorites. I took home a White Aged Balsamic, Sweet Cherry Balsamic, and Pear Balsamic Vinegar.I was even able to sample real Maple Syrup. I tried their Dark Amber Maple Syrup and Light Amber Apple Syrup. Both were very good. It was fun getting a sample, because it came out of a tree. The staff is very friendly and they will help answer any questions you might have about any of their products. These people really know how to pair their olive oils, vinegars and flavored mustards. There were two rooms with several long tables in each set up to walk around. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. You can really find some great gifts for that special person or foodie.

If you like honey this place is for you! Unlimited samples and honey with so many different flavored options. You can also sample apple syrup and variety of flavored olive oils and vinagers. I suggest you keep a bottle of water near by because they can get spicy, prices were reasonable and selection was vast! Would def go back!

I visited Sticky Situations during a recent trip to Peddler's Village and well, as someone that loves honey, I was in 7th Heaven! From the super friendly service to the open, airy store, and the wide range of flavored honeys, this store is a must if you happen to find yourself in Peddler's Village and you love some delicious honey. Oh, and all of the delectable flavors are available to taste, which was a great feature. Highly recommended!

Centuries ago people spent years travelling to find spices, now we can get most of them in your…read morelocal mega-mart. but there are still some spices that for some reason are not in these emporiums of plenty but that is where Savory Spice Comes in. Carrying spices that are not easily found. For me personally it's green peppercorns-a vital ingredient for a beef sauce Ii make for the holidays. When you walk into the shop you're stuck by the masses wave of the stock but the friendly staff is happy to help you find hat you're looking for. What speaks best for this store is that when asking in other places in Lahaska for the pepper corns several places said "try savory spices' that's right, they're referred by potential competitors as the place to go. Not a 'I can order them' but 'Try this place...' That says a lot about them. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a trip and you're going for something special, not general uses, I mean you can get paprika in the mega-mart. but for that odd ball spice, make the trip.

I have been ordering from Savory Spice for many years. Last year, they advertised a Black Friday…read moresale that simply said "Spend $100, Get $100". Great! It's the holidays, and these are good gifts. I purchased a gift set and waited for the code, which didn't come. Customer service informed me the $100 credit wouldn't be available until January. This was misleading when advertised as a "sale", but I figured I would wind up using the credits later on, and I went ahead and purchased another $100 gift bundle. Now I am trying to use the credits, and I've been informed that they are issued in $20 increments - ONE per order. I wrote to customer service because this is super inconvenient, but also prohibitive. Many of their items are more than $20. So anything I want to purchase over $20 (vanilla extract, gift sets, etc), the remainder has to be paid out of pocket by me despite having $200 in credit with the company. While they did send me a shipping code to use, they were entirely inflexible. Using the credits is labor intensive and restrictive to certain items, and I've had to go through and choose things based on price to add each cart up to $22, apply the codes, and then still pay the remainder. I'm extremely disappointed and I am no longer a Savory Spice customer. I will source herbs and spices from a company that values their customers and doesn't play cheesy games with "sales".

I'm a total foodie so anytime I see a mom and pop style store I have to go in. Savory Spice Shop is…read moreno exception. They have a nice amount of spices to choose from. There's so much to take in. The minute I walked in my eyes were glancing around the room to see all the different spices, pastas sauces and more. Their wild game jerky's varied in price. They have a nice selection to choose from. What I found that was unusual and unique was their Pickle Flavored Cotton Candy. ( yes I said Pickle Flavored.) They didn't have any samples so I can't tell you how it tastes. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something unique for a foodie or just something unusual and unique I suggest you check this place out.

The store has an incredibly wide variety of choices...I saw ostrich, venison, rabbit, kangaroo,…read morecamel, snapping turtle, duck, lamb, python, turkey, buffalo, Mako shark as well as vegan jerky (whatever the f*@k that is). The jerky's are apparently made fresh to order for the store, no ground meat, all choice cuts of meat, no preservatives either. As a result of the high quality production process and exotic choice, the jerky isn't cheap! For example: 4 oz. of Ghost Pepper Beef Jerky = $11 3 oz. of Mako Shark Jerky or the Wild Boar = $15 3 oz. of Kangaroo Jerky = $19 Alligator jerky - first impression is that the jerky is very wet (needed to wash my hands after eating it)...not slimy but more oily. The alligator definitely has a fishy/briny taste to it initially. After you've eaten it you taste the lingering Cajun spices in your mouth. Black pepper WILD BOAR jerky - much more like "traditional" beef jerky, as the title would indicate, very strong black pepper flavor, hint of the smoke flavoring too - overall a good jerky, blindfolded I wouldn't tell the difference between this and beef. Black pepper ELK jerky - dryer than the wild boar...very chewy...no hint of smoke just overwhelming pepper flavor. My lips are still tingling and I finished it 5 minutes ago. While interesting I wouldn't say it's worth the massive price difference from beef jerky.
