If you are looking for a local getaway with the kids that is fairly inexpensive and fun then Tucker Lake is the place for you! Upon pulling up we were greeted with a welcoming smile and an explanation of the ins and outs of the facility. We opted to pay 2 extra dollars to park within the gates ( because it was shady) but in the end feel that this was not really worth it for us that day. It was actually further away from the beach area. However, if you plan on grilling it will get your vehicle right next to the picnic tables and grills. There is a snack bar that is decently priced. There is also the opportunity to buy water toys. It wasn't too crowded and there appeared to be an adequate number of lifeguards monitoring the area. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean and there were also port-o-lets placed strategically around the parking lot. There are several water slides, a tarzan swing, and a slippery floating obstacle course. Bring sunscreen, towels, sandals( the sand is hot) and some beach chairs too! Next time we go we will take advantage of the grills! Overall tons of fun and we were able to spend several hours there! read more

I went to Tucker Lake with my friends and paid $20 per person. We were excited to spend the day together in the water....unfortunately, as soon as we got in, the fish began biting us. It was not a soft nibble. It was a bite and they did not stop. I asked the lifeguard if they knew of this problem and he told me 'yes' and he recommended not to keep moving around. The fish are getting bigger and hungrier and the owners know it is an issue yet they keep check g $20 per person and not letting people know of the problem. Do not take your families to this place untold they handle this issue. read more

We needed a break from the beach and thought "Why not visit a lake?" I loved the fact that it was so cheap at only $12.00/person. We got there at 10am on a Saturday and waited in line for about 20 minutes to pay. We paid with cash but I do believe they had a mobile credit card machine. Parking is all shaded spaces with picnic tables everywhere. There are a lot of grills and one bathroom. There is a concession stand that serves all kinds of food (nothing healthy) and a place where you can pay 50 cents to have them blow up your inflatables. They rent inflatables of all size, chairs, umbrellas and do much more. This is basically a free for all old school water park. I felt like a kid again. There is a super fast water slide, two really fun rope swings (minus the rope) and plenty of things to climb on. They played country music all day which was not my my family's choice of music. However, if you sit further away from the concession stand you don't have to hear it. The staff were really nice and there were several lifeguards. The water was dirty- but it is a lake so what do you expect? We had a really great time and it was a nice break from the norm. read more

This place is great. Staff was nice. Picnic area is nice and shady with tables and grills. Beach area is beautiful and sandy. They have lounge chairs to use but the are first come first serve. So much to do. Large water slide. Paddle boats and kyacks, zip line swings, diving board, trampolines, kiddie area, volleyball . they also have concession. You do need to bring cash. We stayed in our RV at their new RV sites over this past Memorial Day weekend and I have to say that the family that owns this property are some of the kindest and most accommodating people we have come across. The sites are clean and a very short walk to the lake. The lake is very clean and even though it was somewhat busy, there is still plenty of room to spread out and not be up under people. There are lifeguards everywhere which helps ease your mind about letting kids play in the water. The food is reasonably priced and so are the floats that you can buy. We paid $7.00 for one and it already had air in it. The water was surprisingly warm for this early in the season and the RV sites were really quiet at night. We are looking forward to going back and staying again. read more

be careful when coming here, there is a middle aged woman who rides around in a golf cart and has a temper on her. the lake was closing and i was in my truck ready to leave with my friend, and she pulls up in a golf cart with two other people and she saw trash near my truck and stopped and was angry about it. she walked around my truck and picked up trash (that wasn't ours, we ate inside the lake and threw it all away wayyyy earlier in the day) and she kicks my truck. i don't know why she thinks she owns it all and can do what she wants but she needs to be fired. but besides that the lake is amazing. read more

Came here for the first time today and was really impressed. Lots of beach space, lots of swim space, several slides, a diving board, 4 or 5 beach volleyball nets, ample shaded picnic tables and grills, suuuper clean bathrooms, very reasonably priced concessions, and incredibly friendly staff. I went on the biggest slide with the kids not really expecting much, but was happily surprised with the speed you actually got on that thing! My favorite part of the experience was jumping off the platform on the hand-held swing, seriously so much fun! You can also rent beach chairs for $5 and volleyballs at no cost (you just have to leave an ID), and they have floaties, sunscreen, etc for sale as well (and judging by the concession prices my guess is they'd be reasonably priced too). I'm definitely gonna round up the whole crew one day this summer for a full day at tucker lake. Cannot wait to come back!! read more

First off the POSITIVE: So much fun, there's only one REAL waterslide...but you won't notice it. There are several residential-pool type slides that are installed on tall piers that are a lot of fun. There's a mid and tall (15-20') platform deck to jump off. There's a water trampoline, several kayaks, and a swing. This may not sound like a large quantity of entertainment pieces, but it really is, and very little lines. We had a large group with kids ages 5-12 and they all had a blast. (so did the adults)...also bring your own volleyball, it helps the time you wait for any storms to blow over. Now for the NEGATIVE: All the staff are JERKS, and the Manager is the biggest one of all. I get that they do not offer refunds when it rains...understood. I am ok with that based off of if you wait it out you can play again. It was 10:30 am when we entered, 10:45 a thunderstorm hits...it thunders and some lightening and wind for about 10 minutes, then it's just rain...10 minutes from that one staff member stops by and says to our group of 15-20 people that we will need to move to the other side of the beach as they are closing down the section we're in because the manager is sending half the life guards home. (ONLY 20 minutes of rain really??!!) OK, understood, so I ask staff if they would likely open up the swing section we are at for an hour or so later so we could all try it. They quickly said no, and that they may close down the entire park. My response was if you close down the park I assume we will be refunded. They quickly answered NO. We moved down the beach to make the most of the day and by 11:10 they reopened that section of the park, but the staff were always RUDE and yelling at everyone. They never first tell someone to stop doing something.... it's always with a horrible attitude, one lifeguard even told some 7-8 year old boy... "Are you an idiot, didn't you see that rope was tied up." Customer service is not part of their training, and the manager is the worst. We did have fun, based off of our choice to make the best of what's left in the day. The best thing that could ever happen to this place would be to have someone buy out the current owners! read more

We've been here multiple times and it is a fun place to go... if you don't mind the staff/management. Everyone there is rude and insulting. They couldn't care less about your business. The prices keep going up every year and now the price is that of a major water park. (Note: that doesn't even include the Hexagon part of the lake). We had a groupon for that we tried to use on Labor Day, they turned us away even though Labor Day was not included in the excluded dates. There solution was to get a refund from Groupon. The teenager at the entrance had no interest in working with us. For the prices they are charging, we are just going to a real water park next time. read more

I visited Tucker Lake for the first time, it was an amazing experience. I brought with me 3 older teens with severe special needs and they were super accommodating and helpful. They just wanted us to enjoy ourselves!! After reading the other reviews, they must have new staff because I did not encounter one unpleasant staff member during our trip. Our family LOVES Tucker Lake! They have it all. There's the beach in full sun, but also the picnic areas with full shade, picnic tables, and grills. They have bath houses, and a concession stand. You can bring in your own food but if you forget something they likely have it - even inner tubes and rafts. You can use the peddle boats & kayaks which are included in the cost of admission. There are water slides, big & small. There is a water trampoline. There are little foam floating dock things that the kids love to climb on and jump off of, as well as a rope swing to jump off of out over the water. There is a wake boarding part which is a little extra. Looks like fun but we never do it since there is so much else to do. It's a great place for the kids to run and swim and play. Is a good place for parents to relax on a raft or on a beach chair. We just had a birthday party there for our daughter. It was fantastic and everyone had a blast. The price it right and it's so much closer than the beach! We recommend it 100%!! read more

Was so disappointed !! First off it cost $67.00 to get in with two adults, one who paid just to sit at the picnic table and doesn't go in the water at all , ( like one woman said, there should be different wrist bands to use the water attractions, what few there are for the price)and 3 children ages 14,11 and 6. Then we went to eat lunch at the picnic area where they have tables and the flies were so darn bad you couldn't even eat a sandwich from inside the Baggie or anything because there were so many flying at your food and face, and if that wasn't bad enough, 2 of the kids and I had our feet bitten so bad by fire ants that we didn't see under the table, that 3 weeks later we still have the marks on them.The man made lake smells like sewer in some spots. The changing / bathrooms are so outdated and gross, and pretty much all of the plumbing doesn't work at all. I gave it two stars, just because the 11 and 6 year old did have fun , but we will never go back !! read more

They also would not honor our groupon coupon and did not have an atm being that they don't accept debit or credit. We had to leave the lake to get cash out because their atm was out of service. So today, Friday, July 22, 2016, we went to Tucker Lake. It was very fun. BUT......... It wasn't clean at all. There was algae in the lake and there equipment was torn up which made it dangerous. There was also lifeguards weren't very good lifeguards. For example we went on the water slide and at the bottom it was 3ft deep and this kid wasn't that tall. So the lifeguard wasn't paying attention to the kid and she almost drowned, but luckily these people was yelling to get the kid, so the lifeguards go the kid. read more

this is an outstanding place for families , couples, or on your own. this is a fairly large lake with sand beaches, a rope swing off a platform into the lake, many slides for adults and children, a nice concession stand with reasonable prices, restrooms ( xtremly clean), and future items to come. adm was 12 for adults and 8 for children 11 and under. we got a warm greeting and info on everything. u can bring in umbrellas , food, drinks, but no glass or alcohol. there are dozens of picnic tables and grills in the shaded area with many trees. u will need an umbrella or tons of sunscreen for the beach. the water was warm and mostly clear. there are ample lifeguards. it was nicer than the beach hassle and a very small crowd all day on a friday. we will go back !!!!!!!!!! read more
