The small quaint campus lends to a safe, connected, family like community! The teachers and director are soo welcoming and loving!!! We miss our NCS sooo much!!!

This school was the worst mandatory 6 year investment of my life. I'm actually embarrassed that I…read morehave to say I graduated from this hell hole. I'll list pretty much everything I've seen, experienced, and more below. 1. Favoritism- If you are not on the good side of the staff, they WILL pick you out. The staff (excluding teachers and the front desk staff, who are extremely underpaid and under-appreciated) will grant favors to those who they think seem fit. You can see examples of this in their hiring, process as well. Some students may recall an incident where there was a feud between a student, and a student related to a staff member. Needless to say, no matter the evidence provided, the related student was protected, and the other was expelled. 2. Lack of Material, Staff, and Control- I don't know where the school spent their money, but there was never enough books, enough materials, or enough staff. The school couldn't keep control of their students, if their budget depended on it...oh wait, it does! My graduating class was ~12 people. 2 people didn't even show up to the ceremony, and 1 of those people were a 5th year graduate (which is a fairly common thing with this school). 3. No tolerance- This appeals to the same-sex couples. Presidio will try to do what they can to keep same-sex couples from showing affection towards each other. I'm sure many students and parents can testify to that. I'm not sure if this is because of religious, personal, or "professional" reasons, but I do recall a staff member saying this to me, as well as a few other students. "Not in front of the kids. Do it outside of this school." I'm assuming "it" meant expressing themselves in their relationship choices. 4. No Real Classes- Granted a music class where somebody just picks up an instrument and plays with it is fun, where is the learning involved? I learned to read music, and play songs together with my classmates when I was younger. Most of the time, kids in music class did nothing but sit around and play on their phones or watch movies. There was almost never any real learning going on in the class. Also, if you were expecting a PE class, or credit requirement...they didn't have one. I actually graduated without taking any physical activity classes at all. I actually graduated with the amount of credits totaling below what any other public school student would have had to do. I wish I could continue writing about the personal experiences I had there. How my sister suffered because I personally didn't make it to school on time. Or how they don't have a nurse on staff, and diddled their thumbs around when my little brother busted his head open. They still don't have a nurse to this day. I believe there was recently a picketing about it which I saw on the news, yesterday, 9/10/13. Naturally, Presidio board and staff refused to show their faces to the camera. I regret even staying long enough to graduate from this "school."

My son has been going to Happy Trails for the past six years. He has learned so much about how to…read morebe a good friend, how to be creative, how to channel his emotions, and how to be a better person at Happy Trails. I have full trust in the teachers at Happy Trails and especially the head of the program to create a safe, fun, and constructive environment for my kid. Whenever there has been a rare issue with staffing, I found that Terri, the head of the program, moves very quickly, and effectively to resolve the problem - always to the benefit of the kids. My family is not overly religious, and even though Happy Trails identifies as a Christian preschool, I've never had an issue with anything that they have taught or shared. I am going to continue to send my son to after school care at Happy Trails until he is too old to attend.

My 4yo still has nightmares about the few days he was enrolled here. Sending him there was the…read moreworst parenting decision I've made. They care way more about packing as many children in a room as possible than the actual child's well-being. Children were literally holding my child down on the playground behind a playhouse and bullying him throughout the day. After the situation was "addressed" it happened again the next day. Rather than apologize the teacher actually suggested the bullying had something to do with me or him.

My son has been going here since he was about 6 weeks old. Ms Laura was his teacher and we…read moreimmediately loved her. Now, my son has aged out and Ms Laura STILL stops me to say hi and ask about how my son is doing. He's currently with Ms Norma and her crew and doing phenomenal. I know some people are apprehensive about sending their kid to daycare, but I cannot recommend this one enough.

I REALLY don't like leaving negative reviews, but I wish I would have known this before enrolling…read moremy child here so I hope this might help someone else. My daughter and I had just moved to Arizona when she started going here so the adjustment to a new school wasn't easy for her. But her teacher made no effort to make her feel welcomed/loved. In her first week, she got bit THREE times. I understand once, maybe twice, but three?? I believe that is just carelessness. All these incidents happened in front of the same teacher. When I went to go discuss the incident with her teacher, she put her head down and completely ignored me. She did not say hello to my daughter, give her hugs, or really just show that she was happy to see my daughter! After each biting incident, I got no phone calls and zero communication from her teacher about what happened/what will happen to prevent another incident. I understand biting is unfortunately a "normal" toddler behavior, but I also believe it is mostly preventable if the parent, child, and teacher work together. I was calling almost everyday to check in on my daughter, especially in her first week and every time someone on the phone would tell me "she's fine" but then when I went to go pick her up I would get a different story of how she did. I just wanted them to be honest. All in all, I decided to take my daughter out of this school for the lack of warmth from her teacher, poor communication from all staff, and my daughter was honestly just miserable every day at drop off/pick up. If I have one positive thing to say is that the director was the nicest and most understanding. She understood my concerns and felt bad about everything that was happening. Unfortunately, she is not the one watching the children so that didn't make a difference at the end of the day.
