The cop said it was a 25 mile an hour zone. i told him repeatedly that after the 25 mile an hour sign there were 45 mile an hour signs (plural). This dumbass gave me a ticket anyway so i had to either pay a fine for a ticket I wasn't guilty for, pay for a class to keep my record clean, or fight the ticket in court. It cost me over $1,000 to fight the ticket in court and the jackass cop didn't even have the balls to show up. I can understand people making mistakes, but this one had a significant price tag to it i volunteer and I shot that local businesses the money I would spend on giving back to my community and purchasing goods from local mom and pop shops has been decimated for one month so when the economy is drowning you can bet your sweet ass at the Tucson cops are going to make it worse..​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

But 2 days later I was in Vail my car was parked in the shade I ran in for dog food and had my windows down and breeze and Sherrif called entice and was able to wait for me to come out and had answered the call of a crabby lady who was totally wrong about my dogs . . 4 widows down a huge amount in the biggest suv in theatre and not hot but they could call me and admonish me and spend 45 minutes on that

The officer I dealt with was so much more of a professional and seemed like a genuinely good human being. I didn't get the same shady, uneasy and distrusting vibe I get any time I have interacted with TPD. Sheriffs department seems to have the right idea on who to hire for that type of job. There's a food hall in development and many more attractions on the horizon. Downtown has a cool city feel, it's smaller but I enjoyed having a convention center, arena, and several public activities during the end of the year. My family and I spotted an ice rink hosted by the local hockey team the Tucson Roadrunners! Tucson has a several hiking trails, a national park near (Saguaro), and beautiful views of the desert mountain landscape. The roads are pretty good, much better than other cities I've visited in the US. If you're an introvert, this is a great place. Overall, the locals were pretty decent. I ran in to a couple of unsavory, raunchy people with no class but hey that's everywhere. Thankfully, since Tucson is more diverse and has a big Hispanic community, there's a little less prejudice here. I have hope for Tucson as it's quickly progressing.

All were motivated, hard working and decent folks who obviously took pride in the job and their department. The Department is well funded, professionally staffed and has the luxury of handpicking the best experienced officers, from other Arizona police agencies, when a staff vacancy occurs because of its outstanding reputation. Most police departments have at least one officer whose actions can taint the entire agency. If Oro Valley PD has that officer on staff, I have yet to meet or hear of him/her. If you are considering moving to Oro Valley, AZ to join me in retirement or for a move up in other ways, be assured your police department will keep you and yours safe while you live your life in one of southern Arizona's best communities to live in.
