I went in without an appointment, was met at the door by a guard to ensure that I didn't have any weapons (too bad we live is a society where this is a necessity). There were 3 people at the windows and 2 sitting waiting in chairs. I entered information into the kiosk and got a ticket with a number. It was a short wait when my number showed up on the screens. I did my business and the lady helping me was friendly and helpful, an actual person not a mindless drone. I headed back to my car. It only took 15 minutes or less.

Kind of an odd review because how does one review a governmental place that offers a variety of…read morethings. I'll start with some important factors. Parking everyone is pay for with options for street or parking garage. Most places you park will require you to walk a bit so plan for timing on all this. There is security walk through, so chekc our bags before and empty accordingly. The place is seemingly kept clean and well maintained. Including bathrooms. Security is present all around and also employees. Most of the time, I dislike my interaction with employees. They seem annoyed, uninterested and not very helpful. It's bothersome considering this is a government business, to me I would consider hiring bright, interactive and knowledge (about the system they are working in). I often wonder what they are actually getting paid for when my 'service' is bad and very little word exchange occurs, an underlying attitude and it's all discouraging. One would think that they want to create and inviting space to encourage people to get things done that need to be. But it feels like the classic we're gonna charge you and lot and leave you confused with several places yoh could possibly go to, look at or routes you can take for whatever you are doing. Rather than a direct here's what needs to occur for the sake of efficiency overall. Otherwise, not much to say. It's the usual expected experience to an extent here. But clean. No cell phone use in majority of the building so I snapped in areas that's seemed fine. There's vending and bathrooms.

There were many people waiting their turn in queue for a county clerk counter. When my number was finally called i approached the clerk at my designated window, who seemed unfazed by the sheer number of customers previously assisted and still managed a smile and pleasant greeting when I stopped at her counter. She was very, calm, sincere and professional. While the clerk reviewed my documents, I expressed my concern that I hope I had completed them correctly and made her job easy. She replied, "Yes! She then went above and beyond by asking, "Do you already have copies of this documentation?" I replied, "Yes, at home." She replied, "Those documents will not have the County Clerk office stamp for date of receipt." She promptly took my documents to the copier after stamping them, made copies and returned them to me. I truly appreciated her demonstration of exceptional customer service and creating for me a rewarding and enjoyable customer service experience.

It's distasteful and I can't see why it's so difficult of a thing to remove the mirrors and other things but not clean up the walls or at least make it look nicer. They really just let things look bad. Scan your ID , or schedule an appointment online ahead of time, but either way you'll hop in a line. There are no chairs except for handicap individuals. Plenty of room for chairs IMO! I was very happy with the person who helped me. She was so attentive, clear, listened and helped. Thank goodness for a good human interaction! Would I recommend this place? Well ya, if you gotta handle things. But I'm not sure what the other places are like in comparison. I didn't take too many pics because it was pretty busy.

Trying to get zoning information but was sent from counter to counter. Now at Pima County. Wait…read moretime 30 minutes. Told to go from the 1st floor to the 2nd and then to the 6th floor. Finally got an answer but had to go to the 4th floor, got sent back to the 1st floor, then sent back to the 4th floor and back to the 6th. Spent 2 hours here and now I need the surveyor to redo the legal description with a 5 foot easement. Will be back in a few days. But grateful to Aaron and Tim on the 6th floor in the Right of Way department for their help getting answers.

We went to apply for passports at…read morenoon on a Monday and he estimated a 2 hour wait and suggested we come back another day at 8:00 am. We went upstairs to check our forms and just out of curiosity I asked at the information desk about the wait. She told us there was one person ahead of us. It took 14 minutes total to get in and out of there with 2 passport applications processed. If we had taken the officer's advice, we would have probably been waiting for a long time at 8:00 with all of the other people he told to come back unnecessarily. Plus having to take a second trip downtown and paying again for parking.

This is in Mesa and I hope to find the same calibur here in tucson, since I will now be a resident. I was put on hold and decided to call a different number in Utah ( first was in AZ) and they answered right away, helped me for over 20 minutes and resolved my problem. When I went back to the first call, I was still on hold. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.
