I used to deal hunt at this store a lot when I worked in Fairport. Target is known for their steep & incremental markdowns on discontinued items. I recently had to return a picture I bought for my wall because after 2 months, it smelled like perfume and wasn't off gassing. The employee at the register said she wished they didn't have it out either. I am worried about their health breathing that in all day! But, when it comes to looking around for home decor, this place really does seem to have it all. Love that there's both indoor and outdoor decor available. The prices aren't unreasonable, either.

Ended up here while looking for wall shelves and similar storage solutions. It was somewhat difficult for me to find what I was looking for. I kept ending up in the unofficial "storage solutions" section, which included over-the-door racks, drawer organizers, shower caddies, and various cabinet organizers. Figuring there had to be something else, I looked for an employee to ask for help and couldn't find anyone. The store was the size of a Wal-Mart, and the whole time I was there, I only saw two employees - one at a checkout counter and one stocking merchandise. Eventually, I asked the latter for help, and they seemed rather uninterested, like I was distracting them from something else. I usually prefer not being approached or guided by employees, but that's not the same as not being able to find any help when you have a question about a product. I did eventually find wall shelves in the "wall decor" section, which held things like picture frames, clocks, and wall art. That's not a problem, I just wish I was able to get help finding it and not have to just wander through the store lost. The shelves, clocks, and other wall installations were really haphazardly organized, as if they'd just been shoved onto the shelves in any random order. There wasn't a lot of variety in them, so we kind of settled for something mostly because we really didn't want to have to go to another home goods store. The store as a whole is... fine, I guess. But between the disorganization and the difficulties in finding anything (including someone to check you out), I wouldn't go there again.

You will want a long time to spend in here. I probably spent 45 minutes to an hour, and I didn't see even the whole women's section, let alone the rest of the store. I came away with a Calvin Klein blouse and a work-appropriate dress, both reasonably priced. I will say that there do seem to be many clothes geared toward retirement age women (I am 40) but I'd go again to see what else I can find for the office.

Boscovs, when they open a new location; a lot of managers ,travel from other locations to assist in the success of the opening weekend. I don't know a lot of department stores, when they open other then grand opening sales, have live entertainment and fireworks, support area charities as well,based upon their location. Competive pricing, sales, military discounts and spectacular on3linr deals, is how they thrive. In my opinion, from my visit, the store is in the perfect mall, that still has life, and will generate revenue, as shoppers catch on. Of course, deals were found by all.
