I'd like to comment about the customer service that may be misunderstood. This is a Japanese owned boutique! In Japan it is very customary to have an employee follow you to help you! I know in NYC some people enjoy their space and quiet while shopping but at Trico Fields I know the employees here mean no disrespect. They are kind and VERY helpful. Every time I go in I'm greeted and helped to shop as I usually pick up a lot of things. I hope anyone who shops here in the future will keep an open mind about service and not feel offended when the employees are overly helpful or follow you. Last time I was in there a fellow shopper (who was a person of color) and I got into a conversation and he told me how he'd been shopping for his son there for ten years. He said his son was now 16 and he could still find items in the store for him. Now if I'm to talk about the actual clothes themselves. Every time my toddler steps outside people swoon over her clothes. She's is pretty much ALWAYS in one or more items from this store. People constantly ask me where I get her clothes. This is top-notch, super high quality hand made manufacture; you can see and feel the quality in materials, texture and cut; these people are NOT trying to lure parents using the "cuteness" factor; they are designing as if the CHILD himself was a demanding customer with a discerning taste. These clothes are made with love, and they could teach a lesson or two to many adult stores that are consistently sloppy. But perfection does not come cheap, these clothes are very expensive for children's clothing. Of course they are Japanese. I have to admit that I come for beanie shopping, since they also have them in adult sizes (I am the one in the store that can't find anything my size), and I even get to practice my rusty Japanese with the Nihonjin staff, and If I was a child, this is how I'd like to look in the winter. It's shoes she is trying on she gave me one shoe at a time, she's a kid why is she trying one shoe at a time ? She gave her the right shoe then the left shoe. Why can't she try on the pair of shoe at once ? So she can see how it fits. She kept going back and fourth to the shoe boxes to see if we took both of the shoe out, even my 7 year old daughter noticed it and asked me "why is she constantly checking the shoe boxes?"
