Very happy with our shed from Tuff Shed. Gary Jaynes helped explain all options and was very helpful and detailed. The installation was also very quick and clean. We are very happy with this shed and it will be helpful for storage, especially with the extra loft storage. We also added a solar light which looks nice! The reason for only 4 stars is nothing to do with sales or install, but with the website and the financial institution Tuff Shed uses if you use their credit services. As far as the website, it is not very intuitive. Specifically it is hard to see exactly what the different loft options look like when using the platform. This was one of the reasons we went in person instead. As far as the financial aspect, we received an email asking us to verify the install and open up our account. There was supposed to be a link in the email or we had the option to call to open our account. Unfortunately the email did not have a link, so we had to call in which took a bit longer than if we could have just set up our account online. read more

We got our seventh Tuff Shed building earlier this month. My wife wanted a storage unit for her holiday decorations so I met with Gary Jaynes at their office on Zangs Drive in San Antonio. We sat down and designed a perfectly great-looking shed pending her approval! Of course, she rejected the first one so I called Gary and he developed another one based on what she wanted. After a few email exchanges and a few phone calls, we got it finalized. The installation date was January 13th - Friday the 13th! Well, it was a good day nonetheless. The installer Douglas and his wife showed up on time and the building was up in under 5 hours! Quite amazing how fast these buildings go up! Tuff Shed makes a tough shed. I bought one for some land I own and its held up well in the heat, rain, high winds and yes even snow and ice of South Texas, for 13 years. When I moved in the house I figured my temporary plastic shed would hold up well. It has for 20 years but its leaking, way too small and time for something better. So I asked Tuff Shed to help me with a new shed. Gary, the sales person guided me thru the numerous Tuff Shed models. The 8 x 10 is slightly smaller than the one on my land but able to suit my needs. I have some add ons to equip it with power and lighting. Tuff Sheds are not cheap. I suggest if you want a cheap shed that wont hold up, look elsewhere. If you want a quality product, go with Tuff Shed. They arent miracle workers but they do a quality job. read more

Purchased a 12x14 Tuff Shed during a great sale. We were assured that the shed would be assembled. The salesperson advised us to have our window unit ready for the construction crew. The team arrived and assembled the shed. We provided them with the window unit and indicated where it should be installed. Unfortunately, they cut a hole in the wrong location, making it impossible for the window unit to fit or operate correctly in the opening. Upon contacting Tuff Shed about the issue, they refused to address it, claiming we were responsible because we approved the cut location on the paperwork. However, all paperwork was signed prior to the shed's assembly, and the incorrect cut was made on-site during installation. Tuff Shed has declined to rectify the situation, threatening to void our warranty if we attempt to fix it ourselves. As a result, we had to hire a bonded and insured company to make the necessary repairs, incurring additional costs that should not have been our responsibility. read more

We should have stayed with Heartland Sheds but instead tried Tuff Sheds. Three shingles fell off soon after installation and the door won't lock. We tried numerous times to get ahold of someone and finally they said they would come out today. Called this morning to confirm, and they said yes, that they would be out between 2-4pm. Buying stuff Shed was a good experience. Having it installed was not. I'm not trying to blame the guys who did the work. According to THEM, the first day they had to go back to office because something was missing from the job. The second day, same thing. This time I was told that pieces that were sent were made incorrectly. Another trip/delay. Finally finished the second day in the dark, around 8PM. I went to move things into shed this Am and found trash all over the shelves and floor. A ton of dirt, sawdust, Chips of wood, nails, etc. I spent 30-minutes on my knees cleaning all areas, shelf tops and corners. I feel like I paid for 3/4 of a job. Shed itself is..well, it's a shed. Quality of workmanship and follow through (clean your worksite up), not so good. UPDATE: Shortly after my review was posted, I received a call from the General Manager, Anthony. He wanted to hear about my experience which I shared as had been reported in my first review. After spending a few minutes together it was clear to me that my initial outcome with Tuff Shed was not what Anthony nor the company wanted for anyone. We were able to come to a mutual agreement which included another trip to our home for a few 'touch ups'. As a result of my now 'total experience', I'm changing my rating to 5-stars. We ordered a 10x12 Tuff Shed and the overall experience was great. The Tuff Shed sales s, Gary Jaynes, was easy to work with in ordering the shed and was extremely helpful providing information needed to get Home Owners Association approval for the shed. TheTuff Shed scheduling department did a good job in keeping me informed of the build date and helping with getting the shed its final coat of paint. The shed construction crew was very professional and got everything done in one afternoon with the exception of the last coat of paint. I wasn't very pleased at first but when I called, they put me on the phone with a new General Manager named Anthony Madrid. Anthony was very sincere when apologizing for the errors and went as far as to come to my home personally to look over the shed. While her was here, he explained so many things to us about the shed and you could sense how proud he was to represent Tuff Shed. I called to get my door repaired on my old tuff shed. These guys were very helpful. They told me what I needed to do to repair, but It was a bit more complicated than I wanted to tackle. They send someone out quickly and it works like new. I was amazed at the great customer service. I purchased my shed thru Home Depot years ago and could never get the service guys, that Home Depot told me to call, to come out to help with issues. This is by far the most poorly organized, coordinated and executed project I've seen a long time. No head talked to the other, all parts of the organization blamed someone else for the 8 failures to deliver or complete the project, and everyone lied to me to cover for mistakes made. The final product is also carelessly constructed because of time pressure and since there were so many errors in communication: changes in work crews and false starts, and because there is no central quality control. Their buildings are substandard, they have incompetent installers, zero warranty after the sale and the management as well as the Corporate Headquarters have no idea how to treat the customer. They are more concerned with the sale of the storage building and once you have signed the paperwork you can just about forget any warranty issues that you will have because they will completely forget that you exist. They are using a product from the 70's and 80's that already has been proven that it will not work in the southern states or where there's a lot of rain or moisture, many homes used this same product and they were sued plus they had to reimburse the consumer for this. Their roof shingles fall off all the time and when you call them they always say the same thing "we don't have issues with shingle" but if you look really close you can see why, they did not adjust the air on their nail gun and the nails are driven too far. When you call to ask questions concerning permits and HOA's, they will tell you they had "NO" issues with either of them. However you "MUST" submit an ACC Request to your HOA for approval first and then if approved, you "MUST" get a permit if the shed is grater than 120 sf. https://www.sanantonio.gov/dsd#15304821-do-i-need-a-permit-to-build-an-accessory-structure-such-as-storage-shed I truly believe that the best way for anyone to go is with a steel building and from the ones that I have looked at, they are much better in overall quality and the price is much cheaper. BEWARE BEWARE! Just had Tuff Shed haul away their garbage! They brought me a warped, rotted, split, broken, molded Shed for $3k!!!!! What you see at the show room is NOT what you get. What Johnathan and Gary at sell you is not what you get either. U can tell them blue in the face on measurements BUT you will not receive that. The shed is built at Tuff Shed by Rusty. Materials used by Rusty are junk! Not sure if they get a discount from HD for purchasing the junk pieces no one wants. Then they send contractors wearing flip flops to your house to build your shed. Puma Slides to be exact, barefoot. Then these contractors damage the shed even more by shooting a hand full of nails into the same spot over and over again that then result into splitting the wood even more. By the time you know it the entire shed is covered in nails sticking out everywhere and all the wood is split in half, big chucks of wood broken off and uneven 2by4's that do not adhere together. I literally had to stop the production of this disaster. So called "Manager" Anthony Madrid reached out to me and wanted to do an on-site, he came the next day, he had absolutely nothing to say, not even 1 word and said his crew would be out to pick up the shed. No apology from this wanna be pathetic manager and no sense of concern with the materials, sales people or contractors. I tried asking him when it would be hauled away, he walked away like a big P and did not respond. Extremely unprofessional with no management education whatsoever! He had no intention on correcting the matter but wasting more of my time by coming out to my house for nothing! This is the NORM for Tuff Shed because if not he would have tried to fix the problems or at least ask to see the damages! Nope nothing! This company and staff are such uneducated people with NO construction background or sense of customer service at all! They are not interested in quality work but only interested in a quick sell! The customer is left with a dangerous faulty damaged shed in the end. I'd seriously look elsewhere if u want quality! This has been a horrible nightmare and I'd just like to make potential customers aware before paying and hiring this disappointing company! It gave me a better idea of what I wanted and was looking for to put at my location. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gary Jaynes by text, email, telephone and in-person. He was my salesman, and provided invaluable information that helped with the final design of my shed. I enjoyed working with him and talking with him in person . I recently purchased a storage building from Tuff Shed located at The Home Depot in Selma, Texas. After seeing other sheds at other locations, I was convinced I had made the right choice. From beginning to end, this company performed as promised. My shed looks great! It is solid and very well constructed. A young man by the name of Jerry and his crew ( three altogether) showed up at my door (after being notified by phone) and promptly began to assemble my building. ( That's right, my shed was professionally built in Tuff Shed's factory and delivered in sectionals ). Within 3 hours I was admiring my finished shed. Obviously the company hires quality and experienced contractors to build these things on your property. After mine was completed I noticed a ridge vent had not been installed as we had agreed when we purchased the unit. Well not to fear. A couple of phone calls later and some investigating, Mgr Anthony Madrid called me back and made it right. He made sure nothing would go wrong from this point on. He scheduled another contractor to return and complete the job. Thanks to Anthony's leadership and his crew I now have a ridge vent on my new building.
