This was our second trip to Scotland within the last two years and our first with Greg. We were guided through Orkney, the North Coast 500, and the Outer Hebrides before ending our tour in Glascow. Greg had an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Scotland including the history, culture, politics and environment. We marveled at the neolithic sites, beaches, cliffs, sea stacks, birds and more. Greg was closely attuned to our interests and made every day another perfect learning experience and adventure. It was quite apparent that Greg takes his job very seriously put his heart and soul into giving us a phenomenal trip. We wanted to see if it would be cheaper or not to book online or through the travel agent. We'd already booked through the agent two years previously and were absolutely delighted with our holiday hence us going back. Ian had noted all costs to compare with what the agent would calculate. It pretty much matched and they gave us a small discount as we choose to come in. Bonus! The holiday did unfortunately cost us a bit more than we hoped and this mostly due to flying from Manchester as there was no flights from Glasgow, which we already knew from checking the website. The staff are always friendly with great banter. There's just something about booking a holiday with someone who knows what they're doing. Yes it maybe works out cheaper sometimes doing it yourself online but when you're forking out a bit of money I like to make sure I'm doing it right. You also get a small discount on exchanging your money too. It feels you can get it all sorted all under one roof and feel it's all in hand so you can concentrate on the big pack. It was again a fantastic holiday and would use Thomas Cook again.

Not having ever used this sort of service before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was kinda hoping to get a little bit more help than I actually did. When I walked in, there was a massive queue for travel money and a handful of service associates either helping people, answering phone calls, or waiting for people to come in with questions, like moi. I was flagged down and asked to come over to discuss travel plans with her. Having already researched a ton of stuff at home with the boyfriend, I thought Thomas Cook had some special portal where they got all their special travel deals from. My boyfriend and his mates went away earlier this year and were able to get some crackin' deals from Thomas Cook. I wouldn't have such luck. The service associate proceeded to open up google and basically do the same search for flights that I did. After realising she wasn't going to be able to get me a good deal because apparently there are no direct flights where I want to go, she proceeded in trying to get me to change my destination all together and then suggested a coach trip which would be two times the length of the current trip we want to take. Even though I specifically told her I was just shopping around for deals and would be taking any information gathered home to chat it over with the boyfriend, she was really interested in me booking something right then and there. Nah. Anyway, I told her thanks anyway, but none of the info she gave me was anything more than what I was finding in the comfort of my own home on my own PC. She was polite enough and said to go home, speak to the boyfriend and come back and see her when we decided what to do. OK, sure.

It's a huge as the name suggests, with loads going on visually, making it seem busier than it really is. As the name also suggets, they're all about the big package holidays. Whether you want a "sun" holiday or a "snow" holiday, a hotel or self-catering accommodation, they have hundreds upon hundreds of pre-packaged holidays in which to delight. This makes it perfect if you're looking for a trip to Magaluf or Gran Canaria, especially. There are also loads of deals on throughout the year, for trips of various lengths. What they're also good for, although somewhat less adept at accommodating, is simple old flights. I went in to get a flight from Glasgow to central California. I'd already found a cheap deal online (I believe it was listed on their website), but what they found was still a little more expensive. I think they tend to book their own flights and deals rather than flights with other carriers, so it's understandable. Either way, they were very quick and friendly, and are trained to listen to your specifications and find something as closely tailored to you as possible. On the negative side, some friends of mine were planning a big trip to Gran Canaria at the end of high school and the representative from here called them pretty frequently to try to get the sale. Understandable, but a bit pushy in those situations. Overall, good place to shop for a holiday and pick up some brochures, especially if you don't like to get into the nitty-gritty online stuff by yourself.

We decided to book our next holiday via Virgin since our travel agent booked us on a Virgin flight…read morelast year but nothing else was booked via Virgin, leaving us feeling a bit short changed. The Virgin Holidays store in Glasgow (within Debenhams) is small but the staff know what they are doing and will assist with anything that you need for your holiday in order to make your time away as special as possible, maybe even some Virgin exclusives. The store is always clean and I've never had to wait to be served, unlike other big name high street travel agents. You will pay more with Virgin, but I'd rather pay more and get a better experience than pay less and loose out on something on the few days holiday that we look forward to, and plan for, for so long. We've been paying up our holiday every month, the staff have always dealt with the payments without any issues and it's great to see a confirmation e-mail coming through as well as being able to see the remaining balance on line. So overall, great customer experience, great product, sometimes exclusives but expensive compared to other high street travel agents

I must apologise for the non-technical terminology that I am producing, I am not very familiar with wedding things. He produced a Rolls-Royce for the bride, and jaguars for the bride and groom parties. And they were sooo gorgeous!! You also get a very pleasant driver, who will drive you there in style as though you are worth a million pounds.
