OH BY THE WAY maybe tell me what the insurance company ruled/said, or is tht TOP Secret, I am going to contact Medical records today and request a complete history of how they treated the leg. I dont a care in the world about the other stuff, I didnt come in here for that, I was super sick though and I am glad they fixed it, They did a killer job on that other than the 14 hour wait for the looking in my stomach thing. I went under it was awesome. I wish I could do that every day!!! Transport. prep (but not no 3 hrs of nothing, the moved to a room with a TV for god sake. Then put me under for 20 hrs. Let me eat, restroom, wash up, Check computer, do it again. No need for a gown you can go under in sweats, t-shirt and zip up hoodie, Well another day of hell awaits, Oh I wish I was a real Voo Doo Priest/Dr..... I would fuck this place up something crazy, and about 5 peopl who are Drs. would not be, they had to cheat or something.... of course everything has been f***** up from the beginning 2 hours yesterday with dietary and food services to get my simple God damn meals. I want two milks, two cereals and two protein drinks. nothing else. I don't want any of what you're serving. I can't eat it. maybe it's the greatest thing in the world, but I can't eat it. my stomach can't eat it so, looking back I thought they had it figured out but now that I'm remembering it right this lady pretty much did it all on her own so they got lunch right and then the lady fixed dinner so they screwed up in 3 hours. then this morning breakfast finally rolls around. we're the last people to get. it is close to 10:00 and I get biscuits and gravy. no cereal like I'm supposed to and I get the full damn thing of food. it's going to go to 100% waste. you want to see what the f****** gravy look like. look at this. you tell me you've ever saw gravy like this. this is what I'm supposed to eat. I don't know how much I'm paying but I'm going to call my insurance company when I'm out of here and hopefully we can get together for because they should not pay any more 15%. whatever room is whatever it cost to stay overnight and whatever the nurse's cost they're worth it. the nurses aren't worth it. the nurse in tax are worth it and like transport that guy that did it. the guy that looked in my stomach that was worth it but everything else I wouldn't pay their bills because they haven't accomplished anything and anytime you want something something simple act like a pillow. I took 4 hours the other night to get a god damn pillow. I can finally walk now so I don't have to depend on other people. I'm serious. I'm going to need f****** mental help when I get out of here. I probably ruined in my reputation. I don't give a f*** this place is f***** me up. this place is like God damn wreck. check out how f***** up this is

November 10, 2025…read more This is a long personal story of my recent experiences at LCMC TOURO and Ochsner Jefferson Campus hospital stays with two very different outcomes. I have intentionally omitted names of Doctors involved. That information is readily accessible to those who wish to see it. My wife and I have been LCMC TOUO patients for 6 years. The medical professionals at LCMC TOURO have been friendly, professional and caring in providing for our health needs until this most recent disheartening event. Recent Event - Terry Edwards On September 17, I had a complete right knee replacement . On Saturday September 20, I experienced a severe panic attack with chest and back pain. My wife called EMS, and I was then transported to Touro ER Saturday Afternoon: Once at Touro's emergency room I underwent several tests and was evaluated with a heart attack. Early Monday Morning: A team of doctors came in to speak with me as to what they planned on doing next. It was determined that a Catheter Angiogram was to be performed. Shortly after that determination a lady came in and reviewed a document with me explaining the three possible outcomes of the test; nothing would be done, stents, open heart surgery. I signed the document and she left. The Catheter Angiogram procedure was performed. I was awake during the procedure. My personal cardiologist very briefly casually spoke to me just before procedure began. I did not see or talk to my personal cardiologist again during my entire hospital stay. Why? He was my cardiologist for six years. So truly sad! When I was returned to room recovering from Catheter Angiogram several persons spoke to me. I do not remember exactly what was said except the mention of open heart surgery. I do remember my reply was NO, I would get a second opinion. My wife was physically in my room during my hospital stay from Saturday late afternoon to Monday afternoon, except Saturday and Sunday late nights. She did not arrive on Monday until about 1030 AM , after team doctors spoke to me about my condition and their proposed treatment plan. My wife was never contacted by a doctor treating me. Not once did any team doctor inform her of my status or what medical treatment was recommended. No doctor spoke to her until Monday afternoon on my discharge day. Monday, Discharge : On Monday afternoon I waited for a doctor to be discharged. At approximately 1630 after expressing my concern to nurse to be discharged. A Cardio team doctor showed up and stated to my wife and I that the team determined that open heart surgery was their determination for treatment . We asked for hospital discharge to proceed. At approximately 2000, I was actually wheel chaired to my waiting car. Discharge Documents: My discharge documents , What's Next stated follow up with my primary doctor. Why not my established cardiologist? I did schedule an appointment with my primary doctor. She reviewed the TURO hospital team findings and showed me the several vain blockages on computer screen. She instructed me to contact my cardiologist. I scheduled an appointment with my cardiologist. The earliest I could see him was 25 days . Really!!! My TOURO Doctor Evaluation: I fully understand that life saving decisions are based on known facts, and level of experience of doctors providing medical treatment. I also fully understand that one team of doctors may believe what is the right treatment another team may disagree. That is why I as an 82 year old male in moderate good health wanted a second opinion. Open heart surgery for an 82 old at best presents many serious challenges and serious life threatening conditions. And at best, a long anguishing recovery time. I also understand communication between patient and their treating doctors is paramount to insure success for treatment. That did not happen with my treatment at LCMC Touro. Treatment at Ochsner Jefferson Campus: On October 27, I was admitted to Oshsner Jefferson Campus for heart related issues. The attending medical team requested my heart photos from LCMC Touro. After reviewing heart vein photos, the lead Cardiac surgeon determined that three heart stents were required for treatment. Three stents were inserted into damaged vane areas. I was discharged from hospital one day after stents were inserted into damaged areas my vanes. In summary: Disappointed, is my evaluation of my treatment at TORO. Perception is reality in the eyes of the beholder! The questions I ask myself. Was my established Cardiologist involved in my treatment? If not, why not? Why did I not personally see my established cardiologist my entire hospital stay? He knew my medical history best. Why was my medical condition explained to my wife not until discharge day? Was my age of 82 and medical condition history evaluated prior to diagnosis for open heart surgery? After being discharged from hospital why did I not receive a wellness check call from my cardiologist or his representative?

This review is from my experience at Touro Birthing Center in October 2023. The team at Touro Birth Center is known for their expertise, compassion, and commitment to providing personalized care to each patient. I visited the birthing center early on in my pregnancy to ensure the facility met my needs of a having a calming birthing atmosphere. Touro offers just that, a comfortable and home-like environment. I couldn't have been happier with the care I received from midwives(Heather, Sarah, Tisha), nurses (Samantha,Erin) and OB Dr. Tara Morse. I couldn't have asked for a more skilled, compassionate, and supportive team to deliver my baby. The center is equipped with advanced technology and amenities/resources(spacious single rooms, birthing tubs, peanut/exercise balls, postpartum essentials, individual mom and baby nurses, doula support, lactation consultants). The Touro Birth Center also emphasizes family-centered care, encouraging the involvement of partners and loved ones in the birthing process which was comforting to me. I highly recommend Touro Birth Center for families seeking a positive and memorable birthing experience.

The very kind 5th FL receptionist told me they're aware of the problem and working on it. Earlier, I very nearly walked away from the building and skipped my appointment thinking I will find a new endocrinologist -- it was so bad! Fortunately they were still able to see me, 20 minutes late, despite my arriving early. Here's the scene & chain of events, for Mgmt's review: 3/4/26: 1:25 - 1:50pm: * I walked to 1415 Tulane. I see signs for PJ's and Wave City Cafe, no signs for a clinic. I walk down the block and I see a front door that is not in use. I walk further and see the ER. I ask a security guard walking by where to enter the Clinics, he points me back to Wave City and says walk through there. * At Wave City -- a front desk, empty; worker at the cash register has her back to the door; no sign of a clinic. I ask a guy at a Cafe table, he says go to the front of the bldg, points to the ER. I ask, the ER? He says yes. * I enter the ER, there's 3 security guards -- one, a very large man, says are you here for the Clinics? I say yes. He says you need to check in with the receptionist to the right. First, I have to walk through the scanner and put my stuff in a basket. I do, and grab my stuff out of the basket; the guard walks away to the waiting room. I notice a wallet under my stuff in the basket. I yell, hey sir, someone left their wallet here; guy in the waiting room gets his wallet and says thanks. Amazing that neither of the security guards noticed the wallet??!!! * I walk up to the receptionist and say I'm here to visit the Clinics. She explains that I have to go back to the Cafe, and walk through. Then she says, no, you should go to the parking garage to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, cross the bridge, and then get the elevator to the 5th fl. Why the did the guard make me go through all that, he coud've directed me back to the Cafe. What's your IQ buddy, 10? Seems he felt it wasn't his job to tell me. The receptionist could've said something sooner when I walked in. There's a reason people in the know go to TOURO if they have to go to the ER in this town... * I go back to the Cafe, as I'm walking up to the cafe, I noticed for the first time that there's a tiny sign on the sidewalk indicating that LCMC in this building -- no directions on how to get in. I also notice for the first time there's these tiny signs on the walls on the patio that say the parking garage elevators are closed (thank you ER receptionist, once again! Really??!) This time I ask the Wave City cashier, who looks up from her phone, and points me in the direction of a hallway where there's a huge sign that says restrooms. That's all the signs says -- nothing about clinics or elevators. I walked down the hallway and there's elevators with signage above them stating what's on each floor, floors one through seven. I get on the elevators known as the Reilly elevators, knowing they only go to the 4th floor. Figuring I can walk down the hallway on the 4th floor and find other elevators to the 5th floor, or a staircase. * I get to the 4th floor and it's a construction site. There's some clinic down around the corner, not the one I'm looking for -- there's no staff, nobody anywhere, just an empty hallway. I walk down the hallway, open a door, and it's an empty, dimly lit alcove with closed doors. I'm like, WTF? * I ride the elevators back down to the first floor, look to my right, and I see a massive reception desk with a woman facing the other way, facing the street, in a totally empty lobby, where the doors that don't open from the street are located! There's no way to get into the lobby from the street, and there's a receptionist behind a desk. It's kind of like the Twilight Zone, or something. She directs me to the appropriate elevators that I need, located down a long hallway. I ride the elevator to the 5th floor, wondering if God is mad at me or punishing me, or something? (I did give up cursing for Lent, and I'd been cursing like a sailor the last couple of days -- maybe that was it?) Or maybe it's just complete incompetence, lack of logic, compassion, or any kind of grey-matter whatsover??!!! Dystopian. Unbelievable!!! It's a testament to the professionalism and good care that I received from Dr Gupta and her staff that I agreed to follow up with further appointments at this clinic in the merry month of May. At least I have the map now! I pray for the well-being of all future patienrs arriving on foot (and by automobile, too, for all I know it's just as bad, or worse, for them?), and for the VERY simple fixes that need to be made to be taken care of.

Everyone was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Did some blood work and got my surgery day instructions. The nurse was very clear on everything and answered all my questions in a manor that made me comfortable to ask everything I wanted to know. Thursday was cutting day. I had carpal tunnel release done by Dr. Wax. I was informed to show up at 6:00 am. I had a feeling I'd be waiting a while. I was wrong. They checked me in right away and sent me to the surgical floor. When I got there they showed me right to my room and started doing everything to prepare me. I've never really been a fan of nursing assistants. They always seem to be angry with the world. This day both my CNAs were super nice and caring, along with both of my nurses. The guy who transported me was super nice and made sure to tell me good luck as well. Once I got in the surgery room, already under some anesthesia, I informed the nurse that I was feeling nauseous and she immediately began to give me meds to help that. After it was all done I was woken up and given a little time to get myself together. I was given juice and a snack and allowed to head home. The next day I received a call from the hospital to see how I was doing. In the event that I would need surgery or to be hospitalized again, I do believe I would feel very good in choosing West Jeff!
