The did not know what hippa laws are for. They totally disregarded my right to privacy . The all night crew, were nothing but mean. So much was done and said and I cannot communicate the physical pain as well as verbal. The day that I was discharged I told the social worker about the terrible way I was treated. All I know the group were from another country, they twisted my arm, I observed one of the gang taking a recording of me on there cell phone. I had/have several bones broken in my foot. I was given a wheel chair and told by my Vanderbuilt Doctor to not put any weight on my foot. I was moved to a much smaller unit. This where I met the Nigerian Night Crew. They snatched my wheel chair from me and took it away. They were laughing and told me my foot was not hurt. I was threatened if I contacted the police, I would be sorry. This is just the tip of the iceberg . I did file a police report in Murfreesboro. I am sure it was never addressed. I was worse when I left than I was when I was admitted. ******************************* Please do not go there! It was nasty. Too much to tell like this, I hope this saves someone from going there. My family member had a colostomy bag that was never changed. I found four months worth of supplies after my mother left. She also sat in dirty diapers. This very young arrogant and aggressive woman stated that my family member was independent, yet they were charging for advanced care. If she were independent, she would be at home. Because they didn't assist in changing her diaper, she kept getting Urinary tract infections and they wanted to send this member out to a psych ward to "adjust meds" instead of sending her urine to a lab. Even though her Advanced Directive was in place, they wanted to charge her more money by suggesting she see other physicians. I had to put a stop to that. We took our relative out and was told we needed to clear items in two days or we would be charged another month. Cost at time of leaving was $6000/month and all clothes were stolen on more than one occasion. Totally not worth the overly paid babysitting. No care was truly given to our family member All I can say is run.

Emily should not have interrupted hospice while they were doing what they do best, they are there to keep your loved one comfortable. Emily made my mom suffer by withholding medications prescribed. I don't understand and she should be held accountable. My last week with my mom was horrible and traumatizing watching her.

It's sad that they used a pandemic to lock out loved ones and get away with elder abuse. The day we picked up my father in law, he was begging us to take him back to the hospital and it's a good thing we did. He had pneumonia from asphyxiation, he was dehydrated, and his BP was extremely low. They wheeled him out in a dirty vomit soaked gown and I was shocked by the way they just threw him in our vehicle. He didn't get a bath for 2 weeks. They didn't even help him remove the socks from the initial discharge from hospital - so he wore the same socks for 2 weeks. This resulted in a wound opening when his socks were finally removed in the ER. Avoid this facility!!!

The first two hours I was in my room the on suite bathroom in my room had roaches a nurse had to step on them and kill them. The floor where they were killed has yet to be sanitized even once in the 3-4 days ive been here. The food is always served cold which is absolutely unsafe and could cause food borne illnesses. Pain meds are always given 30+ mins late and other meds also. It's just not good here and I'm highly disappointed but this is where my insurance will pay for my rehab so thats Why I'm here. I would not recommend this place to anyone with a choice of places to go. I've also been left for more than 45 mins for bathroom assistance. Not good!

Apart from its beautiful location and good food, there are serious problems with staffing. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community, I can wholeheartedly recommend that you find another facility. The former addicts and "good ole boys" who work as counselors at CH are very, very limited in their capabilities. They foment a "frat boy" atmosphere. I have remained sober for years through my own strength and resilience and not through any particular tools learned at CH.

When she was to be released from the hospital, we discovered she had lost significant use of her legs and would not be able to return home immediately. We were crushed! Luckily, we found the newly opened Life Care Center of Hickory Woods. This facility is decorated beautifully and staffed with very friendly and competent folks. After spending time there with the residents and the staff, we are convinced we have made the right choice for my mother's rehabilitation. We, as the family, are respected, included and welcomed with smiles and grace. This has certainly eased the trauma to both my mother and my family at having to seek a short term facility for her care. This place is amazing! They even have valet parking!

The rehab portion was ok....physical therapy and speech therapy...though the physical therapy was a bit brief. The nursing care left much to be desired. Using the call buttons was almost useless. I learned to just go to the nursing station for help, as it might be twenty or thirty minutes before anyone responded. This was largely because of understaffing, particularly on nights and weekends. Most of the nurses and other employees were very nice and caring. There simply were not enough of them on duty to fulfill the needs of patients. On several occasions when arriving to see my wife in the mornings I found her lying in bed with badly soiled undergarments. Obviously no one had checked on her for hours. On weekends nothing much happened, and there were only skeleton crews on duty. I was very disappointed in the care here. The facilities were very nice and neat, and I thought the food was satisfactory, but there is no excuse for having insufficient staffing to care for the needs of patients.
