One of our family members was released from the great Craig Wound Center after 10 grueling months of suffering. If it were not for a Touching Hearts Agency's Caregiver, the greatest caregiver ever, WE WOULD NEVER HAVE DISCOVERED THIS LIFE THREATENING ISSUE. No one saw it but her! Not only was she extremely competent, but RELIABLE and reliability IS THE BIGGEST challenge when counting on agencies for caregiving. BUT NOT TOUCHING HEARTS! The scheduler at Touching Hearts is literally an angel among us. Due to in and out of hospital, from Cancer and more, we never knew when a glitch would happen to our schedule; however, we were never afraid to call and inform them. They worked with us daily, sometimes, hour by hour, to try and accommodate us. "That's our job," they would say, as we begged for forgiveness. And their on the front lines staff, who answer the phones, simply MAKE YOUR DAY. Not only with the biggest hello, how are you doing today, but manage somehow to get a lot of giggles in midst of bad trying times. I love Haley, Bryan, and everyone at Touching Hearts. They literally got our family member where he is today, MORE INDEPENDENT! That is their goal. Not to keep you there to make money, but to nurture one back to independence. I recommend them to anyone looking for competence, reliability, while being compassionate. We are still amazed how the thing we dreaded the most, getting reliable care, actually became the easiest, during a very challenging time. They became our family and we still feel that way. I hope they will be there when I need them! This is an old solution to a new problem, in-home care. It's long overdue, and Iris is doing a fantastic job. I've had an EKG in-home, an xray in-home, physical therapy.

Even when (not if, because no one is perfect) they mess up, like by forgetting to call and let the clients know that there's someone new coming, they're humble enough to apologize and be genuine about it. They also compensate their clients for mistakes made that would effect them financially. If you are looking for an honest, fair and hard working set of individuals who will put mom first, I recommend giving Comfort Keepers a call.

The next person they sent was ok for a few days, and then she had a "mix up in her schedule" and was two hours late. I called someone to complain, they said they would get back to me in a few days, got a return call a week and a half later. When asked if they tried to offer my grandma a discount for her trouble or something to try and keep her as a client; the person who called me said she wasn't sure exactly and that my grandma just wasn't interested. I had a nice conversation with Sara who is a director for the Clarksville area. She and I scheduled an initial in home assessment in my father's Clarksville home. She did not call nor did she show for the assessment. I thought potentially I was incorrect in the scheduled date so I made to calls to her office only to find my father was nowhere on Sara's schedule, not no anyone's schedule, and no one could reach her on IM or her cell to see what was going on. Still no call, no show that day. Still no call from her or anyone there that day. Days have gone by and still no call from anyone with Senior Solutions. I don't know what their issue is but, I know that this is a great red flag to know they are a bad move. Do not even bother to call them, you will be disappointed and should not trust your loved one with this company. You should not give them a dime. I have not had much luck with other companies either in this area so it may be an epidemic. I hope this helps. Save your time and bypass this company.
