She was a paraplegic after MVA and the first day there, the staff attempted to stand her up and fell. There was 1 or 2 that did not treat people with total disrespect. The folks that ran the day to day should be fired and reported. I was physically abused, verbally abused. The did not know what hippa laws are for. They totally disregarded my right to privacy . The all night crew, were nothing but mean. So much was done and said and I cannot communicate the physical pain as well as verbal. The day that I was discharged I told the social worker about the terrible way I was treated. All I know the group were from another country, they twisted my arm, I observed one of the gang taking a recording of me on there cell phone. I had/have several bones broken in my foot. I was given a wheel chair and told by my Vanderbuilt Doctor to not put any weight on my foot. I was moved to a much smaller unit. This where I met the Nigerian Night Crew. They snatched my wheel chair from me and took it away. They were laughing and told me my foot was not hurt. I was threatened if I contacted the police, I would be sorry. This is just the tip of the iceberg . I did file a police report in Murfreesboro. I am sure it was never addressed. I was worse when I left than I was when I was admitted. ******************************* Please do not go there! It was nasty. Too much to tell like this, I hope this saves someone from going there. If you want to compare notes, please feel free to contact me via email: luvgill@me.com. I was told by the patient advocate that she would file a complaint with the state. I called back the day after discharged. The person I spoke to was rude and just mean. She advised me to never call back again.

Had to remind staff we are humans and have rights which did not work. Transferred that "argumentative" behavior to we are patients and we have patients rights and referred STAFF to the tiny printed Patients' Rights print out in a very obscure location where patients do not frequent much. Staff announced to about 20 of us humans that we were amongst rapists and stalkers. The majority of the women in there were tragically raped throughout their lives, some received hysterectomies from the abuse. Patients were getting called by the wrong names, some being called the name of the person they were raped by. Mind you - this is co-Ed and no locks on the doors. Women were being paired with men as roommates the day I was leaving. This place helped to get my hypothyroidism diagnosis - a chronic condition that was left untreated for 17 years of my life. Beyond that, extremely traumatizing and a stay any longer than 4-5 days has left the the therapeutic level and will likely cause additional incorrect diagnoses and continued psychosis. The staff are extremely understaffed and overworked. Funders are severely neglecting this place and mental health as a whole. I Hope Trust Point sees better days and staff receive trauma informed extensive training. Nurse S(h)andra, Dr. (nurse) Jayjay, Nurse Alyssa, Nurse Mark, and 3 other Male Nurses (excluding Moses), and Charge Nurse MJ were our only hope while in this place. Oh and the meds that were prescribed were very wrong. Luckily my TWO female psychiatrists that I've had for a couple years at Centennial Outpatient Psychiatry in Nashville quickly caught and fixed this :) P.s. Trustpoint - if you're going to respond with a generated, disingenuous response -- Save your time, your staff needs it.

I cannot say that I was impressed at all. For a place that supposedly helps and treats those with…read moremental illness, it really didn't feel like it. They made me take a medication that got me feeling more depressed, the LAST thing I needed, and held me there longer because I was "refusing" it despite me having voiced to several staff how it was negatively impacting me. I was talked down to as though I was being an obstinate child about it rather than someone who understands and should have agency over her own body. They don't care about the patients, if you ask for a want or need it'll take days to happen or it won't at all. I had to pester, pester, pester to ensure literally anything got done or any reasonable request was met. Patients are shoved into a section together without their individual needs and diagnoses accounted for and it results in fights breaking out as well as elevated stress for those whose specific issues had a tendency to clash. So many staff have either "I don't care" or "you better not step outta line" energy which just creates more issues for already struggling individuals. When there was a rare occurrence of a caring or understanding staff member, I made it a point to commend them and let them know I see their efforts and appreciate it. This happened only once. I had to sign myself out to avoid basically going insane in a place that felt like going to prison, thank goodness I was there voluntarily or else I couldn't do that. Even then, they may choose to switch you to an involuntary hold if they think you got good money or insurance. As a well-mannered and at least somewhat well-spoken caucasian, I saw people with bigger issues than me come and go faster than I did and that felt ridiculously suspicious. Jokes on them, I'm broker than a donkey!! I'm stuck with a bill I can't afford, that's okay though because legally a medical institution cannot pursue you relentlessly for debt especially if you never tell collections your name and address and instead hang up on any numbers you don't recognize. Healthcare is a right for all, whether they can afford the ridiculous cost or not. Furthermore it falls off your credit after 7 years (fun fact, the more you know!!) so I don't see myself suffering very much misery "trying" to pay them for essentially trapping me in he// for a week. I know some lawyers who'd probably love to bankrupt them and become richer too if they wanna be a problem about it rather than keeping quiet and compliant like we were all harshly and unfairly demanded to do whilst imprisoned. If they cause me even one more single teardrop of grief even after getting my freedom back then I'll tip those lawyers off and enjoy watching the aftermath. As a patient you basically have no rights, no freedom. Little to no exercise, only a tv and crayons for entertainment as though they think we're children. I did my best to enjoy group activities, but they felt rather childish. I felt like a pet human for people who collected but simultaneously hated us, being locked in a cage wouldn't have been much better or worse honestly. DO BETTER Y'ALL!! This SHOULD be a place of healing, but it just feels careless and abusive!!

The VP Monica White, the CEO, Cecelia Hunt and the CFO, Wes Cannon, told the financial managers to LIE to me and claim there is a "cash flow issue". They claim they do not deny they owe me the money but they refuse to go my through the insurance company as they would have to file a Timely Filing Waiver to show they waited over a YEAR to file anything. This some piece of paper would rectify this entire situation and be done with it. They simply so not want to admit negligence and pass the blame to one person to the next. They will STEAL YOUR MONEY, do not care a bit about rehabilitation nor aftercare and only care how much money they can get from you and your insurance company**

They legit bitch at the patients in front of you. Patients are fucking each other and it's just complete chaos. They try to control your diet. And don't let you pick out food you really want. Like one week guys get to pick out food then it's girls. Shit is so ass backwards. I would not send anyone I know here. To be fair they have some good counselors and stuff but the entire structure is fucked. And I got even more hooked on suboxone by the time left the place. I was doing like .5 a day and they put me on 16g a day
