Quick stop at Tulip Town to enjoy the beautiful tulip field. We paid 18.00 to get in . There are fields of different colors and varieties of tulips to walk through. We hopped on the truck/tractor for a short ride around the fields. Cute little windmill with beautiful flowers all around. They have a gift shop that includes a bar/snack area. You can buy some tulips inside. They have an option of potted tulips to take home. You cannot buy bulbs but they do offer info on ordering the bulbs to be sent to your home address in the Fall. The staff were fun and helpful in ordering into and helping decide which bulbs to order. Fun stop for families or just anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful colors of the flowers. read more

Lovely Skagit Valley Tulip Festival at Washington State. It's about 1.5 hr away from Seattle. Usually around mid April. Tulip Town showcases variety of tulips. Nice photo ops around the field. They also have tractor ride (free), cafe, and a souvenir store. I had much fun taking all the pictures and getting some flower seeds for home. If you are around the area, I'll say definitely come by to see the flowers. Very relaxing to enjoy the view. read more

The Skagit Tulip festival takes place during the month of April. It's about hour and half away from downtown Seattle. There are 4 different types of activities to do, among which we picked the Tulip Town. Upon arrival, the parking lot was packed but we found a spot within couple of minutes as some visitors were leaving. We had bought the tickets online already. It was a nice setup with one tulip fields with about 100 rows of tulips in 7-8 different colors. Few tractor trailer was taking visitors around the field, about 15 minutes ride. There was also a small windmill setup and a water fountain for guests to take lots of pictures. Under the tent, there were multiple gift shops, a cafe store, a tulip flower shop and a kettle corn truck outside. Gift shops had nice products, including souvenirs. Got a magnet with Skagit's tulip field. The restrooms were temp box ones, but they were very clean. Being my first time to a tulip field, overall I had a good experience. read more

Super fun stop on the tulip Trail. Love that you can climb up in the wagon and they'll take you full circle around the fields. This allows the photographer in you to scout exactly where you wanna take that perfect pic. Some shopping available. Refreshments were plentiful. read more

Okay, I'm technically writing this for next year since Tulip Town is already closed for the season but wow, I'm so glad we caught it during the last weekend of blooms! Highly highly recommend visiting toward the end of the season if you can. The flowers were at peak bloom and the fields were just exploding with color. Honestly stunning! One of the biggest reasons we picked this spot over others is because it's dog friendly, and they really mean it. No side eye, no restrictions, no entry fee. Our dogs were running around ( on leashes of course!), exploring every corner, even hopping on the tractor ride with us (yes, there's a tractor ride that loops around the field and it's such a fun way to see the whole space. Dogs welcome!). The ticket setup is also a win. You can buy a pass that gets you into both Tulip Town and their sister farm (Skagit something, about 15 minutes south), so it's a great value if you want to make a full tulip day out of it. Another reason I liked this farm? It wasn't chaos. No massive lines or shoulder to shoulder crowds, and once you're done frolicking through the tulips and taking way too many photos, you've got options to grab a bite, shop, or chill in the beer garden. And I've got to say I agree with other reviews. These were hands down the cleanest, best smelling porta potties I've ever used in my life. Big thumbs up for that level of care and cleanliness. Just a tip: go on a sunny day if you can. We got lucky with beautiful blue skies and it made everything pop. I can't imagine it having quite the same magic on an overcast or rainy day. Parking was a breeze too. Lots of staff helping keep everything flowing so you're not stuck in a field somewhere wondering what to do. I would definitely go to roozengaarde instead. Tulip town doesn't have nearly as many tulips so the photos are as impressive and traffic gets really congested close to the parking lot. Spend the extra $3 to go to Roozengaarde. read more

Forst I have to say THESE ARE SOME OF THE CLEANEST PORT-O-POTTIES THAT I HAVE EVER USED! Seriously they were cleaned twice the day we came and it was refreshing being heavily pregnant! The market area is super cute as well. Plenty of non-tulip bulbs for sale to take home and an easy on-site ordering system for your fall bulb planting. The store is tight to maneuver but has some great gifts! The cafe as well has great snacking options, pastries, and main food items with plenty of beverage options to chose from. Definitely grab a tulip sugar cookie for eating as you stroll through the field. Once you're out there, watch the mud puddles if it's been raining! Anyone who gardens in this state knows we have weird soil haha! You'll also more than likely want to wear high hikinnbiits so you don't sink! There are lots of little picture spots for you and your doggo to take pictures as well! Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Came at the perfect time a day before my birthday on April 14th. The tulips are in full bloom. Just like I remember in the Neitherlands. They have Kettle corn, wine, snacks and donuts on site. Plenty of parking, restrooms and a trolly to take those around the farm who prefer not to walk. This is one of many tulip farms. Pretty but not the best experience. I picked it because I thought was kid friendly but not much for kids. It's not as big as I thought it would be. One of the ladies working there yelled at us for walking through the rows when we didn't know it wasn't allowed. They only have one trolley and the wait time is forever even on a Thursday. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, BUT I had a great time! My toddler also had an amazing time. They have a small cart for popcorn, it tasted very fresh and delicious. Inside the little shop there are merchandise, gift shops, and a place to buy tulips. Also a few backdrops to take selfies. The tulip farm area was beautiful!! It was two big area of tulips. I was expecting a little more than that. You also can't really get fun photos in the rows of tulips because they make the rows really narrow. So if you're looking to have a fun photo shoot, probably not the place. They have a few cute photo prop areas. With a frame on a stand, a little platform to stand on and take pics. A fake swing set with a bench. One qualm I had about that was, some people were there romantically and took up a lot of time sitting on the props. When there were people looking to take pics on it. The trolley was cute and easy to figure out the line for. Very bumpy but fun for the kids. Would be cool if they had a guide on it to talk about the farm so we could learn more. When attending the epic Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Tulip Town is a must stop along with a couple of the other famous spots. Yes, you can risk pulling your car over along a busy highway to see the beautiful blooms for "free" - but in my mind I'd rather pay the $17 to get up close and personal with the tulips while not risking my life (and car). The thing I really like about Tulip Town (other than the rows and rows of tulips, of course) are the beautiful photo ops in their display garden. They even have a windmill, a pond, and some old farm equipment to make my tulip pics extra Insta-worthy. Inside, they have more displays, and convenient iPads where you can research and order bulbs for your own garden. Or, stop into their little tulip shop to bring potted tulips home. Of course one of the perks of T-town is their large beer garden! Featuring local beer, wine, and cider this is a must-stop in between wandering the rows of flowering beauty. I like the little indoor market, too, with everything from seeds and books to novelty items. It's easy to spend several hours here! My biggest tip, though, is to go later in the Tulip Festival season. Both of the past two years I went early, and there wasn't as much to see as there is in, say, late April. Traffic is a bit challenging, too, so get there early and/or come from the north rather than the south. read more

I love Tulips and this is the closest to Netherlands that I can go to. So when the opportunity came up, I booked my flight and come prepared - boots and umbrellas weather. I am glad the Tulips are in bloom, not in full but you can see the never ending beautiful Tulips in view and in variety of colors as well. I was in awe and took it all in. I took my time in admiring them and taking memorable photos. I will come back for sure. General Admission ticket is $15. Free parking. Trolley rides are available when the weather permits. Where's all of my tulip lovers at? I absolutely love me some tulips and once my mom shared that when I am visiting Seattle it is the perfect time to go view tulips. I purchased tickets on my drive from downtown Seattle to Tulip Town. It took about an hour drive but there was no traffic so the drive was not too bad. Tickets included free parking and free tractor rides. Tractor ride is super short as they only went around one circle. They do have two tractors so the wait time isn't too bad. I do have to say, as a passenger one side is better than the other. I sat on the opposite side so I was not able to see the tulips. So I enjoyed walking instead. Honestly on my drive here, I read the Yelp reviews just like you did and a part of me got nervous that it was going to be a waste of money. I didn't want to drive the whole family out here and get disappointed. But if you really think about it, its really hard to plan ahead because the flowers are gonna bloom when they want. You can't really rush them. Yes not all the tulips were bloomed but the ones that were was still good enough for me to take pictures with and be amazed over what I saw. They don't let you go down each aisle because they are scared that the tulips would be harmed/damaged. They sell food and lots of souvenirs. There's a bunch of porta potty available. They allow dogs on a leash. They also sell tulips! Lots of photo opps. This was a great place to check out to kill a few hours. Went here in April 2024 for my birthday. We brought our dogs with us. They had great parking and instructors guiding you where to park. It was very clean here and safe. Had a food court with plenty of options. Had a cute gift shop inside as well. Plenty of places to get great photo opportunities! Unfortunately the workers tell you, you can't go in the fields at all or walk in them even if you are standing 1 foot in them, they'll come up to you. Great place to bring the dogs. Very well organized operation! From people directing us into their parking area, to signs all around pointing the way...or you can also follow all the cars! We arrived at noon on a Saturday. It was busy but not too busy. We were there a couple of hours. When we left it was REALLY busy with new arrivals. The line to get into the parking area was completely down the street and any road you took to leave area was stop and go (mostly stop). Pack your patience. It is well worth it. They have great store you can shop at, of course tulips bouquets you can go home with. You can order bulbs online after you've seen everything and picked your favorites. We went 2nd week of April and the tulips were mostly half bloomed. Most weren't open yet and couldn't even tell what colors they would be. I suggest going later in April and hopefully you can see all the tulips in full bloom. It was windy the day we went but thankful that it wasn't raining. It wasn't muddy either. We were able to take good pictures. It's smaller than what I remembered. They also have a covered area where they were serving hot beverages and some souvenirs. They have some tulip arrangement in the back but was just so-so at most. It wasn't extravagant. The tulips were all in buckets or boxes off to the side. What made this place good was the tulips of course. Once you make it past the horrendous traffic and into the parking lot and through the line to get in, wow. The tulips are gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. Originally we had tickets to get in at 1:00 pm. When we got closer we soon discovered that was NOT happening. It took an hour, YES, 60 minutes to go barely half a mile. LIke really? I know it just happened to be the hottest day in a while. And the sunniest day in a while, but geeze. If you know that the crowds will be off the chain shouldn't the business prepare for it? Like more traffice control? Shouldn't the city the business is in make adjustments? Anyway, when you sit in a car for an hour and go only half a mile there is a lot of time to think about the traffice situation brought on by the tulip blooms and everyone visiting this location. Now, to actually review Tulip town itself was packed at the end of the day. Finally made it there at the end of the day. Closing time is 7:00 pm and we just made it in before they closed. It was still really really packed and I was feeling not sure but once we started walking and viewing the tulips I was very happy we persevered the traffic to go back. This is why we came to Mt. Vernon on the hottest sunniest day in a while,to see tulips! Anyways, absolutely gorgeous flowers in bloom and everyone was friendly enjoying the beauty. Your ticket includes a ride on a tractor pulled open air tram of sorts, but nope, walking throught the fields was just right. My friend told me this tulip field is smaller than the others around this area but we came here because of the dog friendly situation. Did not purchase anything and the porta potty situation was at the end the day sort of gross, but...the beautiful flowers were well, gorgeous! The staff roaming the field to make sure everyone stayed where they should were also friendly despite the crowds. Everyone was on good behavior. First time in a while I have been around such a crowded area. If I come back though, I will come late in the day. Come for the flowers, nothing else. lol. Came by Tulip Town during the Tulip Festival. We were NOT expecting so many people to be here! Staff members guided us to park on the grass & walk to the entrance. We didn't have any presale tickets so we paid at the booth up front. Upon entering, there's a barn to the right where you can buy gifts, souvenirs & also some food. I bought a bunch of gifts which came out to be WAY more expensive than I thought. I think I got 6 or so tea towels, some random gift items, & stickers which came out to just under $200! My fault for not looking at the prices though LOL. Heading out of the barn, it'll open up to the main attraction - tulips! The tulip garden itself is actually pretty small. You could easily walk around it within minutes. It didn't feel like it was worth the $17 admission fee. Plus, it was so hard to get cute photos since there were so many people! The tulips were about 65% bloom when we went. They were still very pretty - I enjoyed the many colors.. pink being my favorite :) One plus is that that they are dog friendly! We had 2 mini Aussies with us & we got some decent photos of them after some time. read more

Three and a half stars (better than a lot of the reviews stated, at least when I went) but rounding down due to improvements that could be made. 1) while there is lots of parking, prepare to park in a muddy field after it rains that is known for people getting stuck. The staff in the lot does their best to warn you / let you know where you're less likely to sink but even still... 2) the entry fee is kinda high though I understand that maintenance of thousands of tulips is pricy. 3) while the shop is cool and reasonably priced as is the food truck outside, the food stand inside is highway robbery. $10 for a hot dog, $10 for the tiniest pretzel I've even seen that was not marketed as a small/mini.... The food just looked sad in general. 4) they really should have something better than Porta potties... While the fields are smaller than some competitors down the street, they had a great variety, we came when they were at 65% blooming which was definitely beautiful. They win brownies points for being dog friendly. It was so cute to watch all the pups. It was super wet/muddy which is just nature for ya in April so I recommend boots for sure. Lots of cute photo ops as well. Overall, was worth a visit as a bucket list item. read more

This farm is cuuuuuute. This was the second stop on our Skagit Valley tulip day. It's a small farm but stands out because of the fact that it has a tractor that goes around the entirety of the field. It's a nice vantage point! My general admission ticket got me access to the beer/wine garden as well as the other things available on property. Didn't take advantage of those, but the trolley experience on its own was well-worth it. Note that this farm is pet-friendly. I saw so many cute pups on property- UGH MY HEART. There are also attendants policing the field to make sure that people don't walk in between rows, but stick to the main walkways LOL read more

I had a blast. I came on a Wednesday in the middle of May so there was absolutely no traffic. Blooms were at 75% and still beautiful. I haven't been to any of the other farms so I can't compare it. Since I was traveling solo, one of the volunteers was kind enough to snap some picks of me. Everyone was super nice and I relaxed in the beer garden with a rosé. Food was pricey but drinks were affordable. Plenty of port-a potties. Was fun to ride on the Feeder (trolley), which was included in the ticket price. read more

Our visit to Tulip Town was about a half hour before closing, so the whole place was pretty empty, but it seems like the sort of outdoor farm space that would be fun for a family outing in autumn. We paid the $5 admission fee and headed in to the market, where we purchased several bags of tulip bulbs for our flowerbeds back home, some salsa and hot sauce (because I have a problem!), and toured the charming grounds out back. Took a couple photos near the out-buildings, the windmill (a requirement for any Dutch establishment!), and the corn maze. Although Tulip Town is pretty darn far from our home stomping grounds, I'd love to come back here and see what sort of special events they have going during Christmas, as well as what it looks like during the "prime time" of the tulip blossoming season, when the crowds swell to their height, and the place is bustling with activity. We picked two tulip farms for our 2023 excursion to the Skagit Valley. We arrived before 10:00 and had an easy parking experience. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Their barn setup for coffee, food, and flower purchases is roomy and well organized. Tulip Town is great for families and your canine friends. Since it's slightly further away from other farms so it seemed to be less of a traffic hassle to visit. While not the biggest of the tulip farms we thought the blooms were beautiful and plentiful. read more

First, free parking (win!) lots of shopping and food options, plus rows and rows of tulips to frolic and explore. Tulip Town is a textbook definition of 'agritourism' including tractor rides. Bring your wagon and well behaved dog and you'll enjoy hours around. I will note the prices seem a bit steep on the goods and services, but it's well worth the visit. Tulip Town is one of the most popular places to see tulip blooms in Skagit Valley. While we were there were greeted by friendly staff at the booths and had a fun tractor ride around the farm by a friendly older gentlemen. Unlike other comments, when we went I felt like the farm was transparent with the % of bloom. They had a sign in the entrance stating the % of bloom. Cost for entry is comparable to other tulip farms nearby, each charging about $15 for a regular adult ticket. BUT, you have to pay extra if you want to stay at/ past sunset. I thought the price for food and other gifts (flowers bouquets included) was a little pricy considering you pay so much to get into the farm itself. I recommend visiting the tulip fields during the week at at the end of hours to avoid heavy traffic if you can. read more

I was actually really disappointed in this place. We checked the website and it said it was closed so we called because it's odd to be closed during the Tulip Festival. They said they were open but didn't advise us on the weather condition. It was super windy and cold. When we got there it was very uncomfortable. Then we showed our passes that we paid for and when we get inside to the fields, there wasn't much tulips to see. There was just two small patches of tulips. It was sad to see especially after passing other fields that had tons of colorful tulips. We did the wagon ride for a little but it was way too cold to stay out there especially with little ones. We went into the little building that had adult beverages, souvenirs, crafts, small snacks and bake goods. We weren't there for more than 30 mins. I don't think I'd go back. read more

What a great way to spend Earth day! Cruising through the Skagit Valley countryside, enjoying all the amazing views of fields of daffodils and tulips. Tulip Town is one of the farms that is open during The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. And what a perfect weekend to go! Everything was in full bloom. Highly recommend getting your ticket online to avoid the long lines at the ticket booth, easy, quick, and walked right in. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout, making parking and seeing the beautiful flower displays. Lots of fun for all ages, tractor rides, strolling through all the beautiful many colors and types of tulips, along with other bulb type flowers. Expect a little patience as this is a popular month long event that brings a lot of people to the valley, Tulip Town staff did a great job of keeping things moving. Along with the flower gardens, they have a beer and wine garden, food courts, merchandise area with lots of temptations. And of course tulip bouquets to purchase and enjoy at home. Being a horticulturalist, I really appreciate all the details that went into the displays and definitely enjoying the colorful bouquet at home on a rainy day. The beer/wine garden had quite a few local breweries to choose from, which is cool, helping to support the local community. Way too expensive for the small area of tulips. Nothing compared to Rroozengarde which charges the same price.

This is not the same Tulip Town of yore. Only a fraction of the fields remain and those look they are in dire need of soil remediation. The fungal disease known as tulip fire was very apparent, and could be seen in the majority (if not all) of the rows. As a cut flower grower, this was mortifying to bear witness to. All that said and $20 per adult to enter - definitely won't be coming back. Our family can't afford it! read more
