On our way up from Boston during July 4 weekend, we stopped at Tully's based on the positive reviews on Yelp. Lots of great local and New England beers. More importantly, their staff knows what they're talking about. Brenda was wonderful and steered me in the right direction, patiently answering all of my questions and offering her suggestions along the way. Other reviewers mentioned that prices seemed high. I snagged an Ashton VSG from this lovely, well-marked location, and it was perfectly cared for with correct humidity/temp. The guy working was super helpful & really nice. Perhaps one of the best stocked and most well rounded package stores in the Wells/Ogunquit area. Various local beers, nationwide local beers, a decent European selection, and of course the domestics. A write range of whites and reds wine; from basic to high end. Various single blends and blended scotches. Parts, pieces and ingredients if you brew your own beer. I did not think a liquor store could be a tourist trap. I am a wells resident and have never been to Tully's. I recently picked up a great pizza from the Pizza Market and needed to buy a 30 pack of Bud Light. So Tully's being next door I went in, I thought is was strange nothing was priced but proceeded to the check out thinking it would be more expensive than Hannafords (across the parking lot) but I was there and decided to buy it. $31.95 for a 30 pack of bud light !!!!!!!! I commented on the price to who I think was the assistant manager and he commented "you are in Maine" I responded that price was ridiculous and he said "we are near the beach" trying to justify his tourist trap pricing. FYI, the same product is at Hannaford for $21.95 In hindsight I wish I had just left and did not make the purchase but being in a hurry I went through with it. Will never enter that store again. If you are looking for a good craft beer selection go up Rt 1 north a few miles and go to Ahtesh, he has a better selection at a much more reasonable price. Don't get sucked in by the high reviews of Tully's unless you have money to throw away. read more

The best place for craft beer! Tully's has an amazing selection of local beer and further away beer and they are constantly getting new stuff in. The team is great and actually know what everything tastes like so they can steer you in the right direction. For the area, they have a great selection, of especially beers, but they also carry wine, cigars, bar supplies, and a nice collection of brewery pint glasses for sale. I also noticed a small selection of home brewing equipment. I used my Yelp check-in offer for the free Tully's pint glass, and it was granted. It's the only craft brew store in the area. They offer a more hard to find selection of beers you won't find at the local Hannaford. Mix and match six packs are always available. Constantly updated selection of the newest beers and breweries. Went there hoping to find a 4 pack of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale but they didn't have it but they suggested another option that is similar called Blasphemy. Tully's is to Wells, ME as Cheer's is to Boston, MA. Wether it is your first time walking through the door or if you are a regular Dawn and the staff will always make sure they have what your looking for. If they don't they have something that is comparable. If you haven't tried a beer it is a good chance that someone on staff has tried it. Same goes with the cigars great selection and I have never been disappointed with the smokes. The cigars are the best around. Visiting the area for a few days, and checked out Tully's for some beer. They had a fantastic selection of a lot of excellent beers that I had never tried, making it difficult to choose what to buy. Things were made easier by a super helpful employee, and that they said I could buy mix and match singles from any of the beers that they had in stock. They also told me about some shipments they were getting in the next day that I might want to come back to check out. I will definitely be back. read more

Tully's is great! They always have the best beer selection as well as wine. I always get great suggestions when I go in. They also do kegs and since I have a kegerator...their ordering is easy and it arrives quickly at the store. They also have a ton of glassware, which I have used to sends gifts etc to people as well. Not only is this store located off of 95 and Rt. 1 (the gateway to all of the awesomeness that Maine offers), but inside it is a destination in and of itself. The selection of craft 6 packs is unrivaled, the larger format bottles are also exceptionally diverse - including hard-to-find local beer, exceptional brews from out of state and abroad. If you are into craft beer at all, this is your southern Maine spot for it, period. On top of that, the staff REALLY knows their stuff. They host tastings frequently, and post the latest offerings on facebook. You can also order kegs (I have done so twice for friends' weddings) and they are incredibly accommodating. I keep expecting to see St. Peter every time I enter Tully's Beer & Wine. The soft heavenly glow of the coolers washes over me and makes me feel as though I am at peace with all of humanity.... love this place! Whenever we stop into Wells for dinner we all kind of look at each other with the "we're gonna go to Tully's, right?" look. Every single employee that I've encountered has gone out of their way to help me navigate the path to beer serenity. Note: they are knowledgeable and helpful, but NEVER pushy about anything. We tend to stay there and shoot the breeze, forgetting our hour long commute north to home. Making your own 6-packs of multiple varieties of beer is fantastic. I love this place and have for over 20 years now. It's the best place in southern Maine to find interesting, unique and special, rare beers. The wine selection is more limited and they stock a few beer-friendly snacks, but this place is really about the beers and owners know EVERYTHING about the brewing business, at least in northern New England. The wine selection is ok, with a solid, good selection of mid range wines and a few unusual/odd bottles, but really-you can't beat the beer selection. read more

Have only been once checking it out before a show. They have the greatest selection of craft beers around with a helpful staff. I dont smoke but seems like a good place to purchase cigars. Good selection of wine too-but more in the beer category and many labeld beer glasses for sale. Cases, 4 and 6 packs and individuals they have it here. Will definitely buy here next time I restock! While I was picking out beers this weekend, I overhead the guy behind the countee say they used to be a wine store that carried beer, and now they're a beer store that carries wine. You can tell. Overall they had a pretty good selection, not much I hadn't seen else where. Love the mix a 6 as well. What Tullys has going for it is the large cold beer selection, however it was painful to drove all the way up rte 1 from Portsmouth. read more
