The day of surgery a very attentive hospital nurse decided to ask more questions of me while I was being prepped for surgery. During that discussion it was discovered the hospital did not have my allergy sheet nor did the doctor know of my allergies. Dr. Holt came to my surgery bay and spoke very rudely and blamed me. The hospital staff then blamed him. My surgery was canceled. It was discovered later that morning that his medical staff had not input my allergy sheet into my electronic medical record but it was clearly listed on my new patient paperwork. The implant that was ordered contained a material I am allergic to and had documented on my medical history sheet. Not once did Dr. Holt apologize or reach out to me. His office requires $900 payment for a computer program he uses during surgery. His office won't schedule surgery without you agreeing to pay this fee. His office would not refund the $900 fee for three weeks and in that period two different employees called to get me scheduled in at a later date (after "extensive allergy testing" ) and with a different doctor in practice. His negligence and unprofessionalism severely traumatized me. He has yet to even address my concerns or the matter but thought that I would allow him to operate on me after such callousness and carelessness. No way!

They were not the friendliest, most sympathetic , most caring staff. But I must add I let them know that doctors in that building had let me down before. Like not finding/acknowledging 4 broken bones in my foot years earlier. The radiologist seemed competent and explained why he thought he was. Again, not my first rodeo. But when the apparently rushed doctor (or just uncaring) diagnosed 2 sprained ankles and provided a not well fitted boot, my trepidations climbed. We left. Due to past experience I called podiatrist Dr Brad Beasley who had found the 4 broken bones a couple years earlier that TBJ had missed/ignored. No, I didn't have 2 sprained ankles, I had one and the ankle was broken with a piece floating. I needed surgery. Working through it, but confident. He is the most thorough and caring doctor you can find. He is honest and will provide advice you may not want to hear. But it's because he sincerely cares. 6

While you can book online, you can't cancel - it instructs you to call. When I called today the person I talked to just said ok and cancelled it. I then see a 50% charge on my card on file. While I understand the need to have a cancellation policy, I was not informed of this when I called to cancel. When I called to ask about it and to see if perhaps I could get even a partial refund if I rebooked and the answer was "I don't have any way to do that". Very uncustomer friendly for a repeat client and I'm bummed because I really enjoyed going there.
