Wonderful facilities, clean, modern, and well laid-out. Super friendly staff and the casino restaurant has take-out (within walking distance). They have a very impressive tornado shelter for their guests and pets - a critical safety precaution in that area! read more

We have been full time in our motorhome for 5 years and have earned just under one million rewards points. Last night we experienced tornadoes and severe thunderstorms while staying at a KOA in El Reno. We were scheduled to be at the Tulsa NE KOA today and moved our arrival up one day due to predicted storms. After last night's tornadoes we had to cancel all plans. As a VIP rewards member, we are permitted to cancel up to one hour before check-in time without any penalty. We called and spoke to Michelle as soon as their office opened. She was rude, said "we never have tornadoes in Tulsa" and we would not get any deposit back. I asked her about the VIP rewards member benefits and she said the rules changed to 48 hours. She ended the call abruptly after I asked to speak with the owner. Michelle called back 15 minutes later and told me to reschedule our reservations for later in the week and cancel before the 48 hours. I asked her to repeat what she had said, because it sounded to me as though she was telling me to lie. (After surviving the hand of god the night before, she wanted me to lie?!) Michelle said she didn't want me to lie, just reschedule. When I told her I would do no such thing, she again ended the call abruptly. read more

This was campground was pretty amazing although when we stayed here (April 2022) it was very windy and couldn't really hang out outside. It was super cool to open the back shade in our RV and watch the horses practicing. The campground seemed nicely kept with a casino on the site as well. There was a live band playing in the casino when we were there? We were only there pretty much at night because during the days we were out and about. I'd love to stay here again. read more

This is my favorite KOA! Not because there's anything really extraordinary about the site itself, but because of its proximity to a small Tulsa casino. Although I will say the layout, staff, and amenities are all perfectly perfect so that too, adds into my love of this KOA. Maneuvering through the area was way too easy. We've been to other campsites (not KOAs) that are a little difficult to find your way, but this is all flat land with very little blocking your view. We didn't check out all of the amenities, but one I wish we had was the RV clubhouse. I'm assuming it was just couches and a TV or two, but still. We did spend some time at the dog park because we were traveling with our pups. It was well maintained and they had even recently planted a couple of new trees. Bonus: It backs right up to the casino racetrack so if there's an even going on you get some prime seating. No restaurant on site, but there's one at the casino that is decently priced (I recommend the Indian Tacos). Last time we made a trip this way we stayed in OKC and Checotah, but I definitely prefer this KOA since it's dog friendly and has the added perk of the close proximity to the casino. read more

I read the reviews and decided to camp regardless. We don't like to camp where there are a lot of trees (satellite issue) so this place was perfect. No concrete slab but it was level for our rig. The spaces were far enough from the next camper. The campground is clean. The registration gals were very nice and helpful. GPS directed us to gain entry too early and wrong direction. The entry point is at the Cherokee Will Rogers Downs so I suggest entering that instead. We walked to the casino to have dinner and that was delicious and the country entertainment was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. read more

This is the 4th KOA that we have visited. We had had very good luck in the past with KOA and even purchased the membership. So we had no problem making the reservations here. Well its just OK. Not nearly as nice as the KOA's we have visited in the past. The grounds are mostly dirt and dead grass. There is no space between rigs. So if that bothers you try somewhere else. There is a casino on the grounds, and horse racing if thats your thing. The grill there is decent and we have eaten there a couple times. I personally wouldn't gamble there there again, not much winning going on. So to sum it up, we would probably stay here again if it was for a short stay. But no long term. read more

Campsites clean and well maintained right at the side of the horse race track. Brief walk to the non-smoking casino. We didn't win but it was a nice visit. Grill had the basics but in large generous portions. Definitely would stay here again. read more

Stopped for one night on our way to a final destination. Clean, nice sites, security around, race track next to sites. We aren't gamblers so we didn't go to the casino. Big problem for us was the bathrooms were closed for cleaning from 8-11 am! Really?! Gee, what time of the day do most people shower?! read more

The grounds were very clean and well maintained. There was security driving around the park through the night so it felt very safe. 10/10 would recommend coming here to anyone looking for a place to stop. read more

We will come here again. June 2018 campground empty, hot and windy now but super clean and well organized grounds. September is horse race season when things get going and likely busy. Great campground for easy in out stays. Excellent food in casino walking distance away. We enjoyed it. read more

Nice and quiet clean showers close to casino 3 miles off i44 . Friendly staff wide sites also.

Super noisy. Drunken fights on occasion from long term residents. It is a clean and nice place. Security goes around all the time. Police response is good. But that free WiFi they brag about is crap. You can never get it to come through except one day a week. Thursdays. Don't expect to work or do any important things online. And once you do get it it signs you off all the time randomly. Total crap since this was the main reason we came here read more

WiFi is hopeless. That's a dealbreaker for us. Ok otherwise. Overnight for one day. Not returning.

Stayed on 7/4. Was surprised it wasn't busier. Had a pull through site. Plenty of length but wasn't very wide at all. Gravel with grass on both sides. Park looked clean. Didn't use the bathrooms due to that it was located a distance from the site. The park is split in two by the road that goes to the local casino. So it's busy. Seems a little unsecured but they do have the casino security drive through. The office staff was friendly but the office/store had very little stuff. Looks like a good amount of the sites are long term seasonal. read more

This campground adjoins the horse racetrack and casino. We visited before racing season, so they weren't crowded. They have planted lots of trees, but they aren"t mature enough to provide much shade. The campground was very clean, and we saw security patroling all throughout the day and night. They have a small dog park across from the office, but yhe fencing does allow small dogs such as my yorkie to escape if you aren't watching closely. The staff was freindly and helpful. We had full hookups and 50 amp service with no problems. read more

this isn't about covid19 its about this koa= never have i ever been told that i could only stat 3 days...3 dayz....hmmmm is it because im in a tent and everything around me is rv...they have 4 tent sites...grateful to have but i ask why offer when its only 3 days???? normal is 7 days 14 days...i believe this to be discriminatory...and the mannerisms i've received for having a tent and not an rv!= wow hold your horses you have no right to discriminate...the showers is the only reason for the 2 stars...other than that i know now to have an rv before ever entering a koa read more

Office and new bathrooms and laundry open. Probably one of the better rv parks around. Wifi signal improved, and staff is more accommodating and friendly. read more
