We visited the downtown/ touristy part of tulum and we were so happy we were not staying in the middle of that. The hotel is close to everything and we felt safe. The staff was great and the ground maintenance worker was soooo sweet!! The rooms are very apartment like and have a stove and a refrigerator so we saved so much money on not eating out for every meal. It felt so homey and if I ever come back to tulum, this is where I will stay!

Each room has a private hot tub/jacuzzi on the balcony, which is heated and perfect for the winter months when the ocean or pools are a little cooler - or especially for taking a relaxing dip in the evening after dinner. The property is safe and secure, and just a little ways from the Tulum center. We had a rental car and parking there was much more convenient than being a few blocks closer in town with street parking. And for the quality of accomodations, the priced were very reasonable.

I enjoyed intima for many reasons, but I want to highlight native tulum just outside the resort. We were not used to huts and such an active night neighborhood and once we experienced it, we were sold! I think the drive in can be intimidating if you are not open to learning more about the city, and this is what made the location of the resort so amazing. The whole resort was very clean and well maintained. The bar tender was amazing! Seriously, give that guy a raise. The rooms had AC! SCOOOOORRREEEE. We will definitely be booking with the resort again.
