It boasts a full bar with snacks and a full restaurant along with an infinity edge pool over pool, day beds, sun and shade paired with great service. Andres (black shirt, manager?) was very helpful, friendly and personable. He knew of our anniversary and had a day bed reserved and waiting for us. The entire service staff were all awesome: David, David, Esther, Tamay, and Luis. Mike on the other hand reminded me of a slimy used car salesman as he offered us a coconut with rum, not mentioning it was an upsell. When he returned with it, I quickly found I was signing for something that was an extra. Had I known ahead of time it would've been different, but the sneaky way he did it left a bad taste in my mouth. It really wasn't about the $15USD cost, it was the underhanded approach he took. #lessonlearned Barring the Mike experience, the beach club still deserves a 5 star. I won't let one sheisty server represent the whole team.

The beach has lounge chairs and is really close to the water. There's wait staff that will bring you feed and drinks. The area above the fence has chairs, beds and a pool. The restaurants & bars are also in this area, but like I said, they will bring you food and drinks on the beach. We would arrive with the first shuttle from the resort so we could get a good seat on the beach. They do have a DJ that plays music that I feel would be too loud if I was by the pool. My only real gripe is that the bar doesn't open till 11 and food doesn't start till noon. It sucks that we aren't able to get anything to eat or drink right when we arrive.

Full disclosure: I booked two nights of this hotel using points, but the cash equivalent is still very, very reasonable for the accommodations. When I was looking into different hotels to book, I wasn't familiar with the area so it was hard for me to figure out what I wanted. Then I started mapping out all the places I wanted to eat lol and this place was close to a lot of them. Overall, I'm a big fan of the hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. For my particular visit it really fit me well. I'll just list out some pros and cons to give you a better idea. The pros: -Nice looking room with the safe and TV. Basically the basics with a pretty looking veneer. -Location, location, location. If you want to check out a bunch of different popular food spots in the area this place feels close to a lot of them. It's also around the corner from the Super Aki - the grocer/market in town. It's not too far from the bus station either or you could seriously walk down the street around the block where there's a bigger hotel and there are taxis waiting there. It's not too far from the ruins or it's easy access to get out of the area to go to one of the remote cenotes. -Depending on your room, breakfast is included. -very helpful people at the front desk and friendly people working in the hotel -You could rent a scooter or purchase a ruins/ cenote tour directly through them. I was only here for one full day and two nights, so I ended up renting a scooter on my own. I didn't end up visiting the ruins or any cenotes. The scooter worked out to be like $30 US. -mentioned it above, but this place feels like a great value. The price was really cheap relative to what I felt like I got. Cons: -No elevators. Not a huge deal, but I was on the third floor, so I had to lug my luggage up there. -it's a tiny pool. Not very many people use it, but I went out there after a long day to cool off a little bit because it was so hot and humid. -The AC unit in my room. Not sure if it's the same for other rooms, or if I couldn't figure out how to use it, but I kept on thinking that I put it on the lowest setting possible and it was just essentially working like a fan. This is part of the reason why I went down the pool to cool off. And then I took a cold shower before I went to sleep. For me, this wasn't a big deal because I was pretty much out all day, but sometimes it's nice to sleep and really cold rooms. -if you are looking to visit the beaches, then you are more likely to try to book one of the hotels along the beach. It's gonna be a lot more expensive, but if you stay here, you're gonna have to take a car ride down to the beach.

Boho style room steps away from loungers on the beach. We had a poolside partial ocean view room booked, but our ocean view was amazing from first floor room 17. The water pressure was great, water got hot and the room/bathroom were clean. We slept like a rock each night and the hotel was a 10-15 minute walk down the road from popular restaurants and shops. There is free parking and a nice pool. Also plenty of daybeds at the beach. We also loved the daily included breakfast and the cocktails we purchased. The passion fruit margarita was my favorite! I wouldn't hesitate to book Coco again!

Probably the most bang-up margarita I have had in MONTHS! So good, we ordered a second round. And, because we asked for a gold tequila, they upgraded us to a Don Julio at no extra cost. We did end up getting the chips and guacamole to snack on and the chips were hot and crisp, the guac was fresh and creamy...and, had we planned to stay longer we could have kept eating. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautiful just like the pictures showed. Best of all was that our deck had a private pool that overlooked the ocean, and still enough room for two chairs and space to sit out on the deck outside of the small pool. We only spent on day lounging on the beach and yes, there was seaweed (a problem everywhere in that region, unfortunately), but every time we went outside we saw staff raking to clear it off the beach, so it was as nice as could be expected. We saw some people swimming in the ocean, but we weren't planning to do that seaweed or not, we just wanted to relax on the beach. The cabanas were nice, private enough, comfortable, and the staff came by regularly to check if we needed drinks (without being intrusive). Overall we loved this place and would probably check out another hotel next time, just to explore more of Tulum, but would highly recommend the Coral.

The concierge service was helpful they were able to call restaurant and cabs for us. The location of Mi Amor was also great, not that far from tulum ruins. We were also able to walk to the beach within 5 minutes. Food and service were excellent. We ate breakfast basically every morning at the hotel and we enjoyed everything from the pancakes, granola, oat, avocado toast, teas, and coffees. For lunch and dinner we ate at Mezzanine, casa Maria, and also went outside of the national park down by the hotel zone. The massage was great, we booked ahead of time for the couples massage and really liked it. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Mi Amor, we felt safe and enjoyed our time there.
