Our daughter has been attending TumbleKids for the last few years. It has been a great experience for her and for our family. She is currently 8yo and is in the intermediate class. -- She loves gymnastics and is the kid doing splits and cartwheels all over the place. She has learned real gymnastics skills in class, including round-offs, back-bends and more. -- There is a great gymnastics showcase each spring, at the end of the season (June). The girls get to show off each of the events -- floor, beam, bar. This is a great way for them to celebrate their progress and accomplishments in the year. -- There are elite level teams that one can participate on. These are invite-only. We have not been invited to these yet, but it is nice to know that the program offers plenty of room for growth and additional accomplishments. -- Scheduling is very easy, done through an online portal. You're also guaranteed your spot if you'd like to keep the same day/time mid-year (a new session technically starts in Jan). -- The instructors are great. Hailey, Mackenzie, Vincent -- really supportive, fun, give good instruction but a lot of encouragement too. -- There is wifi and a table in the waiting area. This means, if you need to log on to work during the lesson, you're able to do that, which I appreciate! There are also fun toys outdoors that siblings can play with, with supervision. read more

My daughter switched to this gym a few months ago. We are very happy with the choice. I'm writing this during the Covid-19 pandemic. The gym is impeccably clean and they are following health guidelines carefully. I also appreciate how easy communication is. The coaches are friendly and emails and phone messages are answered promptly. While we moved to Tumble Kids for health & safety reasons, the training she is getting has also been top quality. We have been going to Tumblekids in Winchester since my daughter was 2 (she is 3.5 now). So we started in the parent/child classes and recently started in the independent child classes. We have had great experiences with the gym. My daughter is deaf in one ear and the teachers are great at remembering this and being sure she is hearing (the ceilings are so high and there are lots of kids so it echos). Also, I think the program is really well run and is structured for kids to grow into their skills. I see that the review below is based on an accident at the open gym and my review isn't based on that but I have brought my daughter and her 4 year old cousin to a Parents Night Out and they loved it. It was staffed well and they had some structured time, some free time, and watched a movie. I suspect Open Gym depends on parents watching their kids, which can be hard in any environment. read more

My daughter loves Tumble Kids. The coaches are amazing. They push the kids, while having fun at the same time. My daughter has improved greatly over the years. Exactly what I was looking for for my 2 year old. Large gym with tons of equipment where she can run and jump to her heart's content. The toddler class is very loosely structured with some obstacle courses set up and modeled and then 15 minutes of free play. The instructor Mackenzie definitely understands kids this age and doesn't push them to do anything they don't want to do and doesn't mind that the kids are usually running all over the place. We had our 3yo son's birthday party there. We are not members, nor had we ever been there before, but I had heard good things about it for parties. We had an amazing time! I very much appreciated that the entire gym was dedicated to my son's party. There were two instructors (Lily and Vincent) who had great personalities, were engaging with the kids, and very helpful with all aspects (set up, clean up, etc). Every kid there had a blast. As a parent, I found the best part was being able to watch your kids while chatting with other parents, without having to interrupt conversation to chase after your kid. The party area wasn't anything fancy but totally sufficient for our needs. I very much recommend TumbleKids in Winchester for birthday parties!! read more

The concept is good and the kids find it very entertaining - BUT - I will not be going back here... I went there today with a 3 year old and a toddler. All was well to begin with and then suddenly we were surrounded by kids who were between 12 and 15 (at least). They were doing what teenagers do BUT the number of clashes and injuries I saw in the few minutes I remained there was incredible ! My 3 year old was kicked in the head and my toddler would have had similar treatment had I not been hovering over him. There is no supervision. I don't understand what their model of business is BUT all parents with younger kids were running for the exits. One parent managed to find the supervisor and her complaints were quite rudely dealt with. There are many better options for my children that are safer, better supervised and cleaner (the cleanliness I will leave for another time). If you go there, good luck. read more

My two boys have been going here for a few sessions and I think they are great. I think the exercises they plan for the kids are challenging without being too hard and the teachers have been very good. Summer and Nichole have worked with my kids and they are watching them, helping them and encouraging them. I have had a very positive experience with my boys in the Tumble Bears and Tumble Kids classes. I went once on a weekend and the place was a little chaotic but so I think the weekday classes are a little calmer and may provide more personal attention. read more

My 3- and 6-year-old children have been taking the Tumble Bears and Tumble Kids classes for about six months at the Winchester Tumble Kids USA facility. All of the instructors they have had (Summer, Nicole, and Elizabeth) have been excellent. They are patient and it's obvious they genuinely love children and know how to teach gymnastics (a distinct skill from knowing how to perform gymnastics). The classes are small enough that the teachers can provide individualized attention. For example, the teacher will spot each child on the highest balance beam while the other children are doing safer things. Or they will help a child do a more or less advanced activity at one station while the others are independent at the other stations. The gym has four general areas that the classes migrate through so that more than one class operates simultaneously. At each area the stations change weekly so that it's never exactly the same experience twice. The gym seems very clean (the building smells slightly of chlorine) and when we arrive early enough for class, we see the director cleaning. Also, my kids have not come down with any infections in the days following their classes, so I believe it really is clean. I have not seen open gym nor had a party here and that's what the negative reviews seem to be about. For actual instruction and a fun learning experience, I am very impressed. read more

I recently had a child's birthday party at Tumblekids in Winchester - absolutely horrible. The smell was so awful and hit you right when you walked in - we couldn't tell if it was from a lot of sweaty people or if it was mold/mildew - either way unacceptable especially when you are going to eat. The whole place was so dirty. The rug was so stained and filthy - obviously never cleaned. And the two girls who were running it were rude and void of all personality. Very disappointing - and i learned a valuable lesson - check it out before you book it. read more

Not a good teaching technique. Teacher can't get kids' attention, stations get backed up as teachers have to help kids get through other stations so they have to wait to get through or teachers are not paying attention and can't correct a child as they don't see what others are doing. read more

We tried "Tumblebugs" on Thursday mornings with Miss Haylee. While it's advertised as a class for 2-3 year olds, this class is NOT well suited for toddlers. The instructor was grumpy and seemed not to like kids. She seemed mystified when all of the two year olds didn't follow her instructions perfectly (what two year old does?) After trying to confiscate my child's lovey (a small train), she actually suggested I "grab him so he'll learn" when he ran away from her. I don't think she smiled once during the two forty-five minute sessions we spent there. I'm disappointed because I was really hoping this would be a fun, learning experience, but I found the negative attitude of the instructor, and lack of understanding about working with little kids, ruined the experience. Maybe it's better for older kids, or maybe some of the other instructors are friendlier with the little ones, but I would definitely not recommend this class for toddlers. It was downright unpleasant. We will not be going back. read more
