When my kids first started out 6-7 years ago this was the first gym we tried. It was great. After a…read morecouple of sessions we bounced around to about 3-4 different gyms in the local area strictly based on price. As my girls got older they became more and more interested in competitive gymnastics and we came back here but the prices we thought were still a little high. So we went with another gym, for our first year of competitive gymnastics. Big mistake. They didn't really learn anything and was taught by older children which was a joke. I made them finish out the season. I came back to Gym Street and was welcomed with open arms as if it was my first time here. I explained what my concerns were and Charlie (who is awesome) addressed all of my concerns and than looked up my children's scores online. (That's when I found out 3 of the 6 meets my kids entered weren't even counted) Charlie explained that my kids would be working with a coaching staff that went college for gymnastics. I have noticed a HUGE difference in the skills my children have been able to add. If your serious about putting your child in competitive gymnastics Please talk to Charlie. As for price Gym St was $20 more per month but it's well worth it. Several other gyms will nickle and dime you and end up being more than you were originally told. Gymstreet is very upfront about all cost. They an excellent communication systems. I could go on and on about this place. PS It is the largest and cleanest, state of the art Gym in MA hands down.

All of the parents complained about the same thing before bothering to sign her up (I figured there were other rooms or something she'd go to). Staff are all very kind, awesome and engaged. However, kindness doesn't make up for the lack of space for kids to really be able to tumble.

One restroom for the girls and it is not kept up. The space is uncomfortable and very crowded when you wait for your child's class. I will not get into specifics on all the reasons I pulled my child out of the class, but I will say cleanliness was the main reason. I asked for a partial refund and clearly didn't want a full refund as my child did attend some of the classes. I was met with emails from the owner on how following policy I should not get a refund. She emailed way too personally on how I should not give a negative review and how it would hurt her business. Again, I will not go into details, but feel that she should have given me a "partial" refund on the classes now missed and under the circumstances, not follow her policy. She sent me a $30 sign up fee and returned it to me only. No partial refund and I tore up her check as I feel on principal as I should have received what I asked for which was not a lot of money at all. I was given feedback from Tumble Kids on how cleanliness is a priority for them and how many times they clean etc. If they indeed do that, how come the lobby stinks? Come on! I was told it's because it is a gym and gyms smell. Seriously? I have been to many gyms with sweaty adults and the gym does not smell! Even the doors coming in are full of grimy hand prints. Windex them! Deodorize the lobby. The play area for little kids looks like you will catch something. Like a grimy daycare. I will never be back, will never recommend and shame on Tumble kids for not giving a partial refund under the circumstances. I am being very kind in my review for not mentioning more as my intention is not to hurt any business but bring awareness of any customer paying for services and not getting a clean environment. I will add that the teachers are nice and the kids do enjoy the gymnastic part of it. But in all reality, the gym is way too small to accommodate the amount of kids they have in the gym at one time. Each teacher tries to organize her group and teach among other kids jumping around them in other classes. The space is not big enough and Tumble kids ought to look for a space that is and clean it like they should. Even though they CLAIM they do!! : / Sure!

She is currently 8yo and is in the intermediate class. -- She loves gymnastics and is the kid doing splits and cartwheels all over the place. She has learned real gymnastics skills in class, including round-offs, back-bends and more. -- There is a great gymnastics showcase each spring, at the end of the season (June). The girls get to show off each of the events -- floor, beam, bar. This is a great way for them to celebrate their progress and accomplishments in the year. -- There are elite level teams that one can participate on. These are invite-only. We have not been invited to these yet, but it is nice to know that the program offers plenty of room for growth and additional accomplishments. -- Scheduling is very easy, done through an online portal. You're also guaranteed your spot if you'd like to keep the same day/time mid-year (a new session technically starts in Jan). -- The instructors are great. Hailey, Mackenzie, Vincent -- really supportive, fun, give good instruction but a lot of encouragement too. -- There is wifi and a table in the waiting area. This means, if you need to log on to work during the lesson, you're able to do that, which I appreciate! There are also fun toys outdoors that siblings can play with, with supervision.

Our two kids attended Little Flippers between the ages of ~1-5 years old. This was a good…read moreexperience overall and they did learn how to swim, which was the goal. The instructors are AMAZING and are unmatched -- they know how to keep the lessons really fun and make swimming/the water less scary. However, the progress and the curriculum are a bit slow. Each lesson is 30 minutes long, which equates to about 20 minutes of swimming time (but part of that is just getting used to the water, like dunking in their heads). If I were to do it again, I would opt for a couple weeks of private lessons... this would have saved years (in terms of time) and quite a bit of money too. This isn't a knock at all on the instructors, who like I said are great, it's more just the slow progress that they make and it takes a lot of time to see it given how short the lessons are. Sign-up is pretty easy online but popular slots fill quickly. Makeups are allowed by scheduling online. There are 3 sessions to sign up for during the year I think -- fall, winter, and spring. A special shout out to Mr. John and Ms. Cassie who we especially bonded with. Without Mr. John our son would not have gotten there... now he is a great and confident swimmer!

Their swim philosophy and the way they teach helped everything click into place. 2 of my kids went from refusing to put their faces in the water to jumping in at the end of each lesson within weeks. We've had no issues with scheduling our kids, sometimes all 3 of them at once. Yes, they are popular and are not open super late on weekends. This just means that when it's time to enroll I set a reminder for myself (and they send many, plus remind you in your weekly class) and make sure to do it timely. My youngest is still here and the joy and confidence he gets from mastering new skills cannot be beat.

My children did learn new moves, however they all were self taught via YouTube. The last year they had a coach that for whatever reason didn't like them (I think it was race) she cons constantly degraded and belittle them in front of all the gymnast that won their team. Her reasoning was they(the only ones mind you) weren't paying attention. They are 10 year old girls. But ok whatever. She called them name's. It was bad enough that another parent pulled me aside to inform me. There was a lot more that was done and said but this isn't the correct platform. I brought it to the owners attention. After 3 emails (same thread) she responded (half assed) They have older kids watching younger children. The ratio is to big (coach to kid) children don't get enough time on equipment or the 1 on 1 time to work on certain moves. The amount of money you pay. You should expect a heck of a lot more. I took my time in choosing another gymnastics gym. I wish I had did that when I decided to switch from recreational to competitive. I was already a customer so I figured it already knew the people here. Bad mistake on my part. I will never go back to this place EVER. Money hungry dirtbags
