We walked in and should've known. Under new management. No cars in the lot and no one in the restaurant at dinner time. I ordered a club sandwich which is pretty tough to mess up. Well they managed to do so. I asked for a side Caesar salad and ended up with garden lettuce tomatoes and Caesar dressing. The sandwich was cemented together with so much mayonnaise is literally was disgusting to eat. I will never be back. What a shame to lose such a great place as this. Not to mention while we try and digest the awful food the waitress sits glued to her phone playing candy crush. Feel free to hit up SUBWAY, you'd be doing yourself a favour. This is the bill for a coffee. A can of pop for 2.25. Fish and chips for 12.95 a special cheeseburger for 9.50 and a disgusting clubhouse with a ton of expired Mayo. Not even an inquiry as to the quality of the food at the end of the meal. Lastly please see my reference photo of the so called "dinner rush". Now if you'll excuse me I need to find a washroom.

We arrived just before 5:00 and they were just getting ready and started bringing out fresh hot food, the chilli pork chop was great as was the noodles. As a side note they serve Tsing Tao beer ice cold. The service was great and the prices quite reasonable, needless to say we'll be going back often.

I walk up to the counter and check out coffee prices - 8 oz $1.50, 12 oz $1.75, 16 oz $2.00 etc. I say hello to the guy behind the counter and order an 8 oz coffee. He tells the girl working I want an 8 oz coffee... She picks up the small cup and says "this is an insult to coffee. Who orders these cups anyway? So I know who I can punch." Hmm awkward. This banter goes back and forth for about a minute over who she can punch while I stand there and wait for my coffee. Dude then says to me "I've had to work with this all day." I hand her a toonie to pay for my coffee and she says "..hmm $2.00 works." Puts it in the till and walks away. I stare at the board again and am confused. I have to pee so I use the bathroom and over hear the girl bragging about how she over charged me. Cue: irritation. As a customer, i would like service, not to be your personal counsellor while you vent about work issues. I am paying after all, no? Walking back out to the counter I look at the guy at the counter and say "I think she overcharged me for my coffee." And he replies that yes she did. I say I ordered an 8 oz and she charged me $2 and he opens the till to give me back my 50 cents,.. But then.. Cashier girl walks out from the back and says "no! Don't give her back her quarters." Cue: super pissed off look courtesy of me. I take my quarters and turn around, clenched jaw to walk out. I hear her mutter "..what!?" Under her breath, clearly getting reprimanded. To ice the cake - she overcharged my husband too. And from glancing in their tip jar I would say it's a regular occurrence - there were TONS of loonies and toonies and I guarantee those weren't gratuity for their mind blowing coffee (it's awful), nor their spectacular (read: awful) service. Never the hell again. I will have gas station coffee over that nonsense any day.

The first level on the tray of savory indulgences were imaginative, delicious and nothing like anything I have had at other High Teas. The were touches of Morocco, India and spring. The scone level with delicious and and the clotted cream to die for. And do not skip the custard on the top level, if other people hadn't been in the room, I would have licked to glass. So yummy. The gal waiting on our table, who is also involved in the food preparation was great, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you get a chance make a reservation and go for a drive out to High River. You won't be sorry.

As she was from the UK and speaks so highly of this exquisite experience, I was dying to go for an afternoon tea. Last week, we found out in Calgary Herald about Noble Tea House. It was situated in High River, Alberta, around 45 minutes from Calgary. We did not hesitate to drive there. Since there are limited seating, make sure you book in advance. Three tiered tea was fantastic, we ordered earl grey and English breakfast tea, the tea comprised of scones, clotted cream and jam, sandwiches, blackberry macaroons with balsamic filling, amaretti cookies and sugared grapes and trifles, mini pumpkin pies. The owner of the tea house was very accommodating, excellent customer service. Definitely going back and if you love to have an afternoon tea experience, please go and support this local small business.

I highly recommend them for their excellent service and would rate them 6/5 if I could! Before ordering through Skip the Dishes their extremely popular tarts which often sell out, I emailed the team and they made sure that the baker would keep the 3 flavors aside for me. When the Skip driver picked up and delivered the wrong order (scone & coffee misto) Amber called me to let me know that my order was still with them. I got the refund from Skip and replaced my order. My friend recieved the order and loved the little personal touch on the bag. Here's a quick review of each item as described by my friend: - Americano Misto with Oat Milk & Vanilla: deliciously creamy - Aged cheddar scone: warm this up in the oven and it'll be crispy on the outside with oozy cheese on the inside! - Carrot cake: smothered in cream cheese icing and chopped walnuts with pineapple chunks inside makes for a hearty home made cake like one's grandma would make. - Lemon tart: rich lemon filling within a very yummy buttery and crunchy butter biscuit crust balanced by the sweetness of the meringue. - White chocolate tart: firm filling that melts in your mouth with raspberry jam. - Green tea tart: has white chocolate drops (hearts) and is addictive--you'll want to add one more in your order. :) If you're looking for a treat, head on over to Bread Milk and Honey, order anything on the dessert menu and down it with a lovely coffee, tea or other drinks!
