Typically have a great experience at this location but was takin care of by a stylist I've never met called Jolene. She was pretty rude about signing me in and when we were discussing what I wanted, she was clueless when it came to me deferring to her expertise. I had to forgo the wash as I could not endure more of her bad hygiene any longer than necessary. The thought of her lifting her arms over my head to reach my hair with her body in front of my face was stomach churning as just being within three feet of her was nauseating enough. I would have given a one star rating had I not had so many good experiences at this location. Hoping for a better experience in the future. read more

So I took my two boys here and the first one requested a haircut in the photo and I wanted to show how much hair he had because this was very easy to do on him due to similar hair and texture. The lady who cut his hair was horrible. I showed her this exact photo and even asked if she wanted to take a picture of it.She butchered his hair off and then after my son was so so upset I told her this was done so wrong. She began to tell me she has to cut his hair that short for the length etc... no ma'am you did not and you don't know what your doing if you couldn't do this hair cut properly. Yes they didn't charge me for the haircut but obviously that wasn't the issue it was the fact how my sons hair is absolutely destroyed. read more

Good afternoon, I literally just walked in to your open business with staff working. I was asked if I have an appointment, when I said no, the girl said well we are booked the rest of the night. So let me get this straight an open business with a paying customer is turned away because they didn't want to accommodate me. I would understand if it was like 5 minutes before closing but it's an hour and half before you close. Y'all welcome walk in's but only when it doesn't inconvenience you. What a joke! So I have mixed emotions about this location. My sons have gotten there haircuts here a few times, and it always seems to look off. This last time one of my sons got cut on the ear, and the forehead twice. I didn't realize it till we left. My other sons haircut was so badly done we had to go back to get it fixed. When I called the receptionist was extremely rude. I asked if we walked in when we were going to see Santa would they be able to fit me in? She had a rude attitude and was stern explaining if they had time. Umm...they messed his hair up so someone better have time to fix it. So I made the appointment, and it was just attitude the entire time speaking to her. I get there and it's the same she's not any better in person. I wanted to say hun you're not that cute calm down no one needs to be that rude. The only reason they're getting three stars is, because of the amazing managers/owners who went out of the way to make the experience better. They got the haircut fixed asked if we were okay, and constantly made sure we were happy. When we were leaving the rude receptionist asked if we paid ?!! She yelled across the lobby ummm does she need to pay??? I worked in a salon, and no to a degree if it's not hair color, the customer doesn't have to pay. I still left another 10 tip for the correction, but it shouldn't have had to happen, but I'm nice. I also want to state that the Santa was amazing. He was super sweet, and great will all the kids coming, and going. He even made my preteen smile, and for that I'm truly thankful. I think they did a great job choosing him, and a great job at trying to make the situation better. For all of that I give 5 stars, but three for the entire experience. I'm giving the business a 3 based on value. The review is based on my experience with my son's haircut. First, it's important to know my son couldn't care less what his hair looks like. I have to "tell" him he's getting a haircut, and he rarely combs or styles it. He gets a super simple scissor length on top with a 2 guard on the side. Since he is 13, he doesn't qualify for the kids price, and now gets his hair washed with the haircut (which takes 10 minutes at most start to finish). My final bill was $28 for a less than 10 minute boys haircut. If your son has a more complex hairstyle, perhaps this is worth it. And if it is, awesome...I'm all about a business making money and someone getting good service. However, for me, this price isn't a good value for my needs. And anything over about $15 is overpriced. That price exists, you just have to go to the right place. They won't have free drinks, or shuffleboard, or a manicure station, but just a simple haircut. For those who like those amenities, this is probably the place for you, and more power to you, capitalism is all about choices. But if you don't care for these amenities, remember, they aren't free and you are paying for them. It's overhead baked into your general haircut price. read more

I was there today, the experience at first looks good, it smells good but the person who attended to me insisted on doing what she wanted me to ask her to cut me with flakes, she told me that it was very expensive and I passed a machine that left me satisfied He attended me in a hurry since they had a client who was waiting to celebrate the birthday. I wonder, when did I get there and said I want the cheapest thing ever? I asked for depilation of the ears and did not know how to do it. Each side was not even with one another so I had to find another person to cut my hair. The haircut that was supposed to cost me $36 (with tip) ended up being 60 plus tip after finding a better shop to fix what they didn't do right. No value and a waste of money. read more

First time, last time visitor of the Tuneup Man Salon! I had seen this place before, and I figured I would take my son with me so we would both get a hair cut. While we were there they told me about the membership, and I decided to sign up, this was on a Saturday. When I got home my wife noticed that they had done a very bad job with my son's cut, that she had to take him somewhere else to get it fixed before school stared up again on Tuesday. So Monday afternoon I stopped by there to tell them what happed, and they immediately requested pictures of the bad haircut, unfortunately my wife had already taken him earlier that day to get it fixed. I ended up canceling the membership and they told me that I had to speak to district manager for a refund. After talking to district manager she told me they could not refund because we had already gotten our haircut for the month, I told her that I would pay for the first haircuts and they can just give me the difference. She said they could not do that, but that I could continue using it for the remainder of the month, I will not use the remainder of the membership. Never, ever going back to this place!! read more

As I met my hairdresser for my first haircut at Tune Up my only explicit request was "please DO NOT cut off length". I just wanted to clean up any dead/split ends. I haven't had a haircut in a year while trying to grow it out, but wanted to clean it up before the holidays. Sure enough I lost over an inch and when you're hair is starting to pass your nose, but you leave with it at your eyes it is very frustrating with the feeling someone just decided to set you back a few months. On top of that I had brought my son for his first haircut to take a little length off and style. When I addressed trimming his bangs a little she immediately bowl cut his bangs straight across above his eyebrows. I would never recommend Tune Up if you want a mid+ length hairstyle. I'm sure they're fine for the typical 2 on the sides with a little on top, but I am extremely disappointed in my experience there. read more

I went to the salon looking for a quick cut not realizing that I would be sitting there for 2 hours just to walk out out of pure frustration. Others got sat down for hair cuts before me and I was waiting longer than them. I kept on being told that I would get a haircut soon but never did. The most frustrating thing was that this man was getting his hair cut for almost a hour. But the thing is the man had no hair he was pretty much bald. The stylist was taking her sweet time she would stop off and stare at the TV and just space out and it was absolutely ridiculous.
