After visiting Lu's Shave N Cuts Barber Shop a few times before, I got my first regular haircut today (2/21) with Lu. The man is a surgeon cutting hair. He will greet you, will ask you what you wanting done and recommends options. I went in with my thick hair that looked like a lawn mower was needed. I recently lost my barber of several years who I thought was the master of horseshoe flattops until today! Lu is in a league all to his own sheer perfection with straight razor shaved sides and back. Elton cut my hair and I didn't even have to give a whole lot of instruction for him to know exactly what I wanted. I liked the way the lady cut my hair last time So I came back today It's 5:35 & the locked the door as soon as i got off my car ( I parked right in front of the shop). They opened it & said "oh my bad bro we are closed" Smh ‍ UPDATE: ‍ Weather isn't bad enough to close a business early in Tomball But after I posted this the owner came out questioned my review right before slamming my car's door I'm sorry if you were slow but locking the door in front of a customer is bad for this or any other business. I finally found a place to take my 3 boys. Loved the bald fade they got, the edge up was nice, sharp and clean!! Did notice the guys coming in were willing to wait for Lu and the guy that was right next to him. So I was iffy about the ladies, but they did a WONDERFUL job on my boys. I took Lu up on his offer and went back in. He was a man of his word and upheld his offer of a free cut and shave. It was a drastically different experience than last time. This time I got a haircut and shave from Geoff (I think that was his name). He did an excellent job. He definitely knew what he was doing. Very quick, professional, and skilled. Great guy. I would definitely go to him again. One of the best haircuts and shaves I've ever received. Excellent customer service! This is the way all businesses should react to mistakes or negative feedback. So I have been looking for a barber shop for some time now in tomball. Use to go to spring barber shop all the time. But that is besides the point. Ashley cut mine and my son's hair today. Even though we didn't get the hard part haircut still came out looking nice and to be honest was probably good I didn't get hard part at this time going camping next week anyway. Love this guy. Was a customer of Luis many years until very recent. Many 5 star reviews are correct. The wait time is sketchy at best. He is a true artisan. Loves his work. However, THE WAIT is over-the-top ridiculous, unprofessional and continues to deteriorate with time. Great barber - tons of business. It appears, more than he can do daily. Usually wait at least 60-90 minutes, most any visit. Retirees can do this. I got it. HUA ! Great value if you can go anytime and have nowhere to be. Dont bother trying to become a NEW customer. No time for you unless you are VERY long on patience. No appointments. Be clear, Luis is very good. IMHO no barber, doctor or dining spot is worth 60-90 minute wait ; every single time. If you waited less than 60 minutes, you were likely getting your haircut before he "opened" at 8AM. Therein lies the "rest of the story." read more

I was more than overdue for a haircut and happened to stumble across this place yesterday while trying to find a new barber. The shop was really clean and had a classic feel to it. The staff were very engaging, friendly, and accepted me as a walk-in during their last hour of operation. I got my cut by Geoff (I think that was his name..) My husband found this shop and I'm so happy he did! We are visiting the area and him and our 4 year old son went to get haircuts and I was skeptical at first seeing it was kind of hidden In the shopping center. Lu was so patient and awesome with our crazy son, lined him up great and gave him an awesome t-shirt at the end. Also, makes his own beard gels & oils that smell amazing!
