I usually only write reviews when someone impresses me or disappoints me and for Lu's barber shop I was highly impressed and moved to write a review. I have taken my son to more than two handfuls of shops just to walk away disappointed with an uneven neckline and sides but when we left this time around I was highly satisfied! I called to make an appointment but it is first come first serve, so no appointment necessary. When I first arrived there were at least 3 other people in front of me which was not bad for a Saturday but I didn't mind the wait it gave me time to observe the amazing work and transformation that each client went through. I could tell right away the high quality haircuts that was given to each person and also how Lu took the time to interact with each customer and paid careful attention to detail on their haircuts. Sometimes when you walk into different salons you feel like your on an assembly line table and just receive a low quality rushed haircut but at this place it was the complete opposite. I can not rave enough about this place and am so excited that I don't have to search any longer and have finally found our official barber! read more

My husband loves this place and I love how he looks afterwards. Lu is a true professional, takes his time and we never regret going to him for a good job. My husband used to go to Super cuts and hated it that the girls there are not consistent as every time he found someone that did a good job they were never there the next time he went. He will come back and be very unhappy with the cut as they did not follow instructions. When he started going to Lu's he loved that he will always know what to do. He truly does wonders with my husband's hair and beard. His beard is so coarse and always has trouble trimming it himself but since he went to Lu's is kept tamed. And if you are there ask him about the beard oil that smells wonderful and moisturizes the facial hair. I will totally recommend Lu for your next hair cut. read more

Fantastic! No other word can describe this place. I have been looking for a barber shop that could take me "back in time" to the days of my youth. As a kid, my dad took me to a shop that when I left it, I felt like I left with more than I came with. It had conversations that engaged me and made me feel like I wasn't just another customer. Lu's is just that! Lu is one of the best barbers I have been to in a long time. He pays attention to detail and truly takes pride in his craft. I've been missing the old-fashioned neck shaves, the talc brush sweeps, and just the feeling that comes from sitting in a good ole barber's chair. He has a sign on the wall that reads, "a good hair cut isn't cheap and cheap haircuts aren't good." The value of his cuts can be priceless given the experience gained! Thanks Lu! read more

Lu's is one of the best Barber shops my 2 sons and I have been too. I would definitely recommend Lu's Shave-N-Cuts it has a great atmosphere and good pricing. He does have a loyal following but treats everyone the same. Eveyone waits there turn. Even thought there is a wait and it is well worth it. I wouldn't expect anything less from someone of his perfection and expertise. I have to say I am very picky on my hair cuts and my Boys. You wouldn't ask a painter or any other professional to hurry up on their trade if it was to make you look good. FYI... He isn't busy because he is bad.... think about it!!! read more

Took my preteen son there for our first trip to a REAL Barber shop.... From the second we walked in we were welcomed and treated like old friends. The customers waiting were as friendly as Lu. Very respectful and clean establishment. It was a 40 minute drive to get there and well worth it. Lu has earned two new customers for life. I asked my son afterwards, and he said Lu earned 6 out of 5 stars! He wants his hair to grow fast just so we can go back. read more

Lu's barbershop is the best! I've been a long time customer of Lu's while he was at another local shop. Lu always remember's my cut and and when I want a new look, he is up to date and skilled in both current classic styles as well as new and progressive looks. Maybe too much. I am still trying to cover the spot and it was right before Thanksgiving. I will give them 5 stars for customer service, but have to give 3 to the cut and cost. We just went to the wrong place for his hair type. Very nice people though.
