When I returned from vacation I went to the Humane Society and I was told my dogs were not picked up by them and that a lady named Terry Tucker no longer works there. Well now its months later and Terry Tucker went by my old house and spoke with my sister and told her she picked up my dogs and that they were at the humane society when I was there to get them. I guess we have no rights to our pets. I was not told the truth about my dogs and never given any information on where or how to get them back. My son will never be able to forget his dog Nell which he had since she was a liitle puppy! Thank you so much Amory Humane Society!

There are careless and clueless people in my neighborhood that allow their cats to roam freely and there are multiple litters popping up every season. The shelter is having a Children's month during March and offer a "How to Care for Pets" activity workbook for families with children. They have also talked to local kindergarten children on how to care for pets. There are over 260 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens that are available for adoption. I can't remember how much they charge you to accept strays. I took a family of kittens that were a result of careless neighbors. The fee may have been $15.00 per animal.

Having watched him decline over the last year, we made the difficult decision to euthanize him. Despite it being 2:00 in the morning, Dr. Ryan and the emergency tech could not have been more wonderful and compassionate. Dr. Ryan carried Charlie in when I could not. They stayed with us for hours as we said goodbye. We had our other dog with us, and she was incredibly upset watching this unfold and was very vocal. Charlie was given strong pain medications to make him more comfortable and they lowered the table so that our other dog could also say goodbye - I will never forget that. Afterwards, I couldn't stop thinking about how he passed covered in vomit and urine and stool, and when I called to see if I could pay extra to make sure he was clean before he was cremated, they assured me all dogs are cleaned up after they pass. The only negative experience we had was with Coleman Pets. For $450 they promised we'd receive his ashes back cremated separately and in an urn. However, they sent him home with my son in a plastic box, alleging they did not have an urn big enough for him. After saying something, they offered us an obnoxious tin can that looked like it was used for dog treats. That part was heartbreaking - that they seemed to think this was ok. I believe the clinic uses two cremation services and I would avoid Coleman at all costs. (My IG was cremated the year prior, and we received fur clippings, a poem, death certificate, a silver personalized paw print, a placard for the urn, and his ashes in a wooden box - and for half the cost.) It's incredibly unfortunate that Oxford doesn't have more robust veterinary services/capabilities to handle 24/7 emergencies, but Dr. Ryan did absolutely everything he could with what was available to him. Thank you for filling an urgent need, for offering veterinary support after hours, and for moving fast and easing Charlie's pain and discomfort. We will forever be grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to us during one of the most upsetting times of our lives.

I wish I could give 0 stars…read more !!!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!!! * Dr. Matt Ryan failed to answer more than 10 emergency calls I made while trying to save my puppy's life. * The one time he did answer, after I explained my puppy had gone limp and stopped breathing, his response was simply, "Is there a question?" * He refused to meet me at the clinic during an active emergency situation. And all he had to say about the missed phone calls was "my ringer must have been off" * Tori Mann minimized my puppy's condition and was not transparent about how critically ill he truly was. * No one at the clinic ever referred me to a specialist or emergency hospital -- they only continued prescribing medication despite his worsening condition. * Tyler Epes discharged my puppy after having him for hours and reviewing his X-rays, but did not disclose that he had a collapsed lung. * When I later raised concerns, the clinic's explanation for the lack of care was that they were "just a small clinic." Because of the lack of urgency and the 13 unanswered emergency calls, I ultimately drove my puppy 50 minutes to the nearest emergency hospital. Tragically, he passed away the same night he had been discharged from this clinic. Also not even 24 hours after his death after informing them that because of them my puppy lost his life, they deactivated his profile from the app.

Chatting with the foster dad was key in understanding what to expect when our dog was sent up North. When we recently lost our older dog, I contacted Woof River to help us in our search because they are so trustworthy. One of the things I respect most about Woof River is that they are concerned about find the right match -- not just finding a home. And that might mean being disappointed that the dog who caught your eye is not the dog you should bring home. We continue to search for our next dog, and I hope we will find him/her through Woof River.

I was not informed until I got to the store with the dog and waited for several minutes that a new policy would prevent them from grooming my dog. I'd had the appt. for two weeks. Very frustrating! Picture it, May 2013. I was scrolling through PetFinder.com when I came upon the cutest, little…read morePersian cat named "Snow Belle". I emailed the contact information & corresponded with a woman by the name of Polly. She was very nice & you could tell that she wanted what was best for Snow Belle. I completed the adoption application & we scheduled a time for them to being over Snow Belle & for us all to meet. She brought over Snow Belle (now named Saffy) & checked out our place to make sure it was safe for a cat. She met with our current cat & deemed that it was a safe environment for Saffy & we paid the adoption fee & they left. It was on the contingent that if things didn't work out we could return Saffy. Saffy took some time to warm up to us but she's now apart of the family. I can't get over how nice Polly & the other woman was that came over to our home. Even after the adoption Polly asked how Saffy was & I'd send pictures & updates. You can really tell that they care about the animals.
