Within an hour of speaking over the phone, I came in and they got started on my vehicle quickly. The shop is conveniently located and easy to find. It's definitely no frills, but everyone there was friendly. The shop dogs were an added bonus. I left assured my money went to a local shop that values integrity and honesty. This wasn't the first time either. He had done work for me before and went ghost that time too. Now that I've hired another mechanic to fix my vehicle, I'm finding out about the knock sensor issue from the previous repair. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using them. There was no accountability, no follow up, and no professionalism.

They have some negative reviews, but they all seem to be for oil change services from customers who don't understand that prices for oil changes are partially dependant on the type of filter and amount of oil your car uses. If you come in with a car that has an unusual filter shape or size, it's going to cost extra here as well as most other places. The coupons are designed for regular cars with COMMON equipment. Never had any bad experiences and they get me in and out as quickly as they say they're going to.

He's truly honest, has affordable pricing, and absolutely no nickel and diming on issues that do not need to be fixed. I went to Auto-Scan once before and had the motor mount replaced. No complaints. Since then, I went to Sun Automotive for a routine oil change. BIG mistake (see my review under Sun Automotive for details). I learned not to go back to those big talking auto shops and stick to the real mechanic that truly cares about getting your vehicle running safely and not hurting your wallet! Corey was able to remove the dipstick that was broken inside (after the oil change at Sun Automotive ) without having to replace the entire unit....saved me a few hundred $$. He also referred Houston Automatic Transmission for a transmission rebuild. Took about a week, but the best price in town. When your mechanic refers them, please listen. The license plate on my rental car was literally hanging on by a turn of ONE screw. Stopped in for…read moresome help. He came out, took a look at the situation, and said, "I'll be right back". Came back and tried a screw he thought would work. Then he discovered the whole mounting bracket was very loose. He went back inside and came back just a couple of minutes later. Within 5 minutes he had tightened the bracket, tightened the original loose screw, and found a properly sized screw to replace the missing screw. AND he did it all for no charge! I gave him a little something anyway primarily because of his attitude and courtesy. I don't live near this store at all, but if I did, this would be my "go to" auto parts store!!
