Terrible and dishonest. Promised work that was never done. Will not return phone calls about giving…read morea refund. The owner is a scam artist offering services he never intends to follow through with. We paid them $12,400 to do a big drainage job in our yard in November 2025. For 5 months they have avoided us and refused to return email inquiries and phone messages about when they would start. We thought it was strange when the business changed their name from Drain My Yard to Turf Trimmers shortly after we paid them in full upfront to do the work. We were told if we paid upfront the cost of the estimate would be reduced 5%. my husband is 81 years old and thought he was dealing in good faith with this business. Now when we call there is a message that the phone number is not set up to take calls. The store front on Barlow Rd is closed. I believe they may have gone out of business without giving us a refund. Clearly the owner preys upon elderly people that are unable to manage their own yard work and larger projects which younger home owners may be able to handle but we cannot due to our age and circumstances. We lost 12,400 of retirement savings to this dishonest business. I hope there are not others who also have been taken advantage of by Bob Aber.

Paid a 5500 deposit in November. No work has been done and VERY minimal communication has been had…read more now we have sent dozens of emails and calls that we would like to cancel our project and get a refund and every one of them is being ignored. I have seen multiple reviews on various platforms of this same experience lately. He also goes by the business name of Drain My Yard FYI, which is where we thought we were booking with . BUYER PLEASE BE AWARE. I would highly suggest you look else where for honest services

Prime Cut - My car and driveway released from the refrozen snow pack that happened over the last two days.

I found them on Angie's list and within five minutes of requesting a quote I got a phone call and…read morethe service was available within 15 minutes coming straight from Rootstown. They were willing to turn around and come do my driveway, even though the snow had stopped sometime ago. Service was very well performed and timely . Greg definitely knew what he was doing... very refreshing after all the college students and vocal people who profess to be businesses and yet have to be shown how to do the job correctly- even to the point of how to apply the rock salt! Yes, really. It was well worth the extra money to have the job done correctly the first time and have it look good . It's not doing us any good as seniors or disabled people to pay for people to do a halfway kind of job for a few bucks cheaper and then you have to basically explain to them and correct what it is that they're doing.- when you shouldn't be out in the elements anyway and that's why you're hiring somebody. Very happy to have someone doing this quality of work that does not have to be brought in from an upper class suburb at an upper price . I would not hesitate to have him back . It was also worthwhile to have someone with a truck rather than trying to break through the refrozen snow by hand after the thaw and rapid freeze over the weekend a couple days ago . My college student did not come through and so the partly melted snow froze into ice and we got 3 to 5 inches again overnight - but the truck straightened the mess out, and he was even thoughtful enough to ask what was under the piles of snow before he started work. And thoughtful enough to clear the space in front of the car so I could move it more easily when I needed to give him access to the driveway . I appreciate the respect shown to an older female in a less affluent area like a trailer park . That means a lot .(I am old school and I noticed those things.) So I'm very happy to help him out in return with a good review . He deserves it.
