I'm sure many contractors would have been happy to proceed with the unnecessary work at our expense. The team showed up on time, executed the work in my contract flawlessly and finished on time.  Not to mention, he and his crew were all super friendly guys and trusted in my home all day. I needed some grass in my backyard and they went above and beyond. They were so quick to come out and check out what I needed done. They gave me a quote in less than 24 hours and they worked with me on price. There crew was on time, very friendly, and did a great job on the install. They also fixed some sprinkler heads and installed a timer for me. I have already had them start putting together another quote for my bathroom and fireplace as well. House guests and other tradesmen who have seen the work have also complimented it and asked who did it. Charlie used to build entire houses so he is very knowledgeable about ALL aspects of construction -- wallboard, plumbing, electrical, gas -- you name it and he knows about it, including all the current building codes. He even helped a plumber who couldn't figure out some plumbing problems that I had. He always does great work and he always cleans up when he's finished the job so you'd never know he was there. He has also given great referrals for more specialized work. I got my cabinet maker, painter, carpet installer, and tile company from him (see other reviews) and they all did a great job too. He is very honest and I always ask his advice if I think some other contractor is trying to snow me or suggest work that isn't necessary.

Warning: Do Not Hire Francisco - Dishonest and Unprofessional…read more I want to share my experience to help others avoid the same mistake. Be cautious of a contractor named Francisco. At first, he came across as polite, trustworthy, and sincere. I initially contacted him for backyard work, and he claimed he could also handle a garage-to-room conversion I had planned. Based on his assurances, I hired him for the indoor remodeling project. Unfortunately, things quickly took a turn. Despite claiming he could do the work, he didn't perform any of it himself--instead, he brought in other workers and acted more like their assistant. I paid him for labor while providing all the materials myself. We did the initial shopping together, and the first couple of days went smoothly. However, as the project progressed (expected to last 2-3 weeks), I started noticing serious red flags. This was a rental property, yet he became upset when I or my family visited to check on progress. At one point, he even used extremely offensive language toward my wife and father when they pointed out issues in the work. That is completely unacceptable behavior. I paid him in installments as requested and even provided lunch occasionally out of courtesy. But I later discovered that he was including personal items like tools and drinks in material receipts and expected me to pay for them. I also suspect he over-purchased materials, got reimbursed, and then returned them to stores like Home Depot for a refund. He asked for extra money midway through the job for "electrical expansion," which I paid--but the work remains unfinished. For the backyard project, I was about to hire someone else, but Francisco pressured me to give him the job, claiming he needed to keep his "crew" working. In reality, there's no real team--just one other person helping him. I paid him 70% of the backyard job cost upfront, but only about 30-40% of the work was done before he started disappearing. My tenants became understandably frustrated. He even damaged a part of their car and lied to them, blaming me. Eventually, he demanded more money to finish the job. At this point, I knew he wouldn't follow through and refused. I also told him not to access the property without my permission. The next day, he falsely reported to the police that I was withholding his tools. I had no intention of keeping anything--I just wanted the work completed properly. This is a long review, but I believe it's important to share so others don't get caught in the same situation. Francisco may sound kind and helpful at first, but he is extremely dishonest and unprofessional. Please do not hire him. I'm also encouraging my tenants and friends who dealt with him to share their experiences as well.

He's knowledgeable, reliable, honest, and incredibly easy to work with. What really stands out is how well he communicates. He keeps you informed, shows up when he says he will, and follows through on what he promises. In my case, I had a ceiling fan that had stumped both an electrician and another handyman. Neither was able to get it working properly. Tim came in, figured out the problem, and fixed it. It was clear he took the time to understand what was actually going on instead of just guessing or recommending expensive replacements. Just as importantly, Tim is someone you feel comfortable having in your home. He's professional, straightforward, and genuinely seems to care about doing the job right. I never felt pressured, and I always felt like I was getting an honest assessment of what needed to be done. Finding someone who is both highly competent and trustworthy can be surprisingly difficult these days. Tim is both.
