On September 5th,at or around 130 am.i drove into the parking lot of the turkey hill minit market located at 6100 north front street in steelton pa to purchase some items,apon entering the store the customer service representative ,looked at me and abruptly slammed shit her droor,even while she was waiting on a white male customer,in effect having to open the droor again to give that customer his change,then the customer and customer service person had a conversation,in which he asked her if he should wait around ,being that she expressed her fear of a black make entering the store,she agreed and the cudtomer,basically waited outside of the store by my vehicle in a threatening manor I was almost afraid to leave out of the. Store due to the obvious menacing stare from said customer,I have lived here for 20 plus years and have never stolen anything ,threatened or did anything to deserve this type of treatment from an establishment which I have used since I have lived in this area,the next day I called the store (September 5 around 3:00 to possibly speak to a manager ,I was told the manager was not available ,I subsequently asked to speak to whomever was in charge of the store and was told by the employee that answered the call that no one was in charge of the store at that time.i am attaching the phone recording of that conversation to this email as an mp3 file for your scrutiny, ,also that night I utilized my phones recorder to video the entire incedent ,which I plan to upload to social media and whoever is willing to listen unless I receive a formal apology from Turkey hill stores inc,and would like to offer my opinion that maybe sensitivity training should be offered to turkey hill stores employees ,in an effort to disuaded theses blatantly racist practices, read more
