I've been trying to get a back window replaced for a federal vehicle (work vehicle, I just schedule the appointments) and have had to call and provide the VIN # twice and finally got an appointment scheduled. They were supposed to meet the field tech on Wednesday between 12pm-6pm, because waiting 6 hours for glass repair seems normal (?) and then the shop finally calls the field tech around 4:30pm that afternoon, after he didn't go out in the field to conduct research because he wouldn't have service and didn't want to miss the call. The shop told him they don't have the glass in for the 2023 Nissan Frontier, it's really hard to get that glass, (why, it's a 2023 Nissan?) so he doesn't have an appointment because they don't have the glass. Been trying to get this resolved for over a month! I just get transferred from one place to another. Corporate in Ohio didn't care either and offered to transfer me to the shop. She couldn't get a hold of anyone at the shop so told me to call them back later! We are a university and have a tax exempt account set up with Safelite. I guess they don't care how much business they lose because they have not tried to resolve the issue or do anything to make it right. I've dealt with Safelite in Morgantown, WV with no problems, but the Charleston, WV location has to be the worst run location I've encountered. I guess I'll wait until the vehicle is back in Morgantown in a couple weeks. Hopefully that can get that rare 2023 Nissan Frontier glass here and actually complete the repair I've been trying to get resolved for over a month. Also, corporate gave me a completely different phone number than I have called the last 3 times I've spoken with them. Horrible customer service, non-existent actually, can't answer any questions and don't seem to care they can't resolve the problem. I guess they don't want the business. You would think you would want a good relationship with the largest university in our small state, but apparently not. Do better. I will never use Safelite in the Charleston, WV area if needed again. Heck, I didn't use them this time either since they can't do the one job they sell themselves as doing-replacing auto glass. I don't know why I'm calling back since we don't have an appointment scheduled anymore. They must have canceled everything when they told my tech they didn't have the glass in. Glass comes in, appointment set and job completed, until....., After installation, tech comes out to tell me their equipment can't sync with manufacturer for camera use and I need to sign a waiver of liability in case the equipment may be dicey! Said it was issues on the manufacturer's side. Call insurance telling me not to sign anything then called the manufacturer who said their syncing system was working and that sometimes they get calls saying this because the glass company does not have the technology to work on the newer autos. They suggested I go to the dealership to get everything back to normal, WHY WOULDN'T I GO TO THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. They closest dealers is 2 hours away and I responsible for cost! If you have a newer vehicle, think hard on where you get glass repaired or replaced!

The receptionist charged our debit card $260, $10 more than requested. We didn't notice it for days as the receipt she gave said $250. Well, we've seen this before. They ordered the part. When we took our vehicle in, we took our original estimate AND a check made out to the remainder. We didn't say anything about the "extra" $10 charged on the debit card. She never mentioned it either, though, consider this: the company MUST balance its books. Instead, she insisted the bill was $50 more than the remainder. We pulled out the original estimate and already-written check. She FINALLY relented and said she made an "error" and would "correct it" in the system. We were going to give her and Mike silver eagle coins (worth about $45) as reward for great service and a good price. WE DID NOT. Apparently, someone collects extra when you aren't paying attention. IF you go here, PAY ATTENTION, TAKE YOUR ESTIMATE, KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. We called and left at least 3 messages about this and, surprise... NO RETURN CALL.
