I love these girls who run the shop....I took my cat in for a grooming & I wasn't sure how he would react...first time for him....he came out looking & feeling much better....they said he was such a good boy...he was not at all traumatized....the girls reserve a few days a week for cats only so they don't get stressed out when other pets are there...my cat is so nicely clean & his fur feels so good...I was so happy with the overall experience.....I highly recommend Turlock Pet Shop to all pet lovers‍‍ read more

The worst service ever. I have been contacting this shop several times they never responded me back. Finally I stopped by their shop and book an appointment for my dog. The day of appointment I waited 15 minutes in hot temperature in car for them to open the door for us. Finally I gave up and went home then I received a text from them that it was an emergency and they had to leave. Which I understand. The owner rescheduled me but on the day of our appointment she said sorry I don't feel good and I have to reschedule you again. She even didn't have my scheduled appointment in her phone. Luckily I had her own text send to me. But she rudely said I don't have time for you go and find another grooming shop. I never ever go back to this place even if that is the only grooming shop on Turlock. Bad bad service. read more

The owner Catarina and her apprentice Meg did an amazing job with my cat. He is super difficult to groom. I was so worried about it, but they talked me through the process of what they would be doing with him. It was an all day event for him, but that's because they didn't want to stress him out and ease him into each step of the groom and give him breaks. They were awesome enough to also text me through out the day and give me updates. I had a great experience with these ladies and I will definitely be back. read more

I also posted this on google. DO NOT TRUST JAN! Long story, but a testament to this review. A few years back we took our toy poodle to the Waterford groomer and Jan was the groomer there. She cut with the clippers through the thin piece of skin between the hip and leg. She called us and said that the poodle jerked and got cut. Also, that she already put glue on it and she was ready to be picked up in a little bit. We paid full price for the groom which is understandable since she did our service. She told us she had insurance and to let her know if we took her to the vet. We tried some home care that evening, but the little thing was in a lot of pain and had to get pain meds and 4-6 stitches. We made a claim to Jan's insurance and got our money back for the vet visit and aftercare medicine. Now coming to today. We made an appointment at the Turlock Pet Groomer just to try it out since we'd been doing our grooming at home during quarantine and our dogs needed some professional love. We took 2 poodles this morning and thought we may have recognized the lady when we dropped them off. She called later and said that her name was Jan and it clicked. She's the one that cut up our little white dog years before. We thought of course it wouldn't happen again. That last time was just bad luck and that poodle is a toughy anyway, even when I groom her. We picked them up at around 2pm and Lo and behold, the better of the 2 poodles had the SAME THING happen to him. A large slice of flesh showing on the thin skin as long as my thumbnail. This is no scratch, I mean a solid cut through the outer layer of skin. I've groomed this dog for years and he is not the jerking type. She didn't call us when it happened like last time. She apologized and said she already put glue on it and it would be fine. We once again paid her for her service and walked out vowing to never deal with that lady ever again. Jan is a nice woman, but to cut our dog(again), not tell us till pick up, then try to treat a 1.5 in. Open wound with liquid bandaid is not what I would call professional. The wound has opened up from the liquid bandaid and we are treating with Neosporin and a bandage now. If it gets infected, we will be sure and call her and her insurance again. I took day off just to take my dog in since hours of operation where not working with my work schedule, she cancelled that morning stating car issues, I let her know I stayed home and I had all day to let me know if she made it to shop or have someone else to cut my dogs hair, she didn't respond till next day, rescheduled me for a Sunday and cancelled Sunday morning stating car issues again. This was 2 days later from first apt! then stated she can refer me out or reschedule again but never responded to my message. read more

I've been so happy with how they treat & groom my baby girl Luna. Luna is a 6.5lbs Maltese who has emotional issues & cannot be in a cage, they let her roam around and they even talk and play with her. Amazing bunch of gals!! read more

I loved how much they love animals and do such a good job. They took great care of our cat. They also educated me on how to keep up on grooming our Persian cat. When I picked up my dog, Noreen (the groomer) said some really nasty things about my dog, made untrue statements and proceeded to give me Veterinary advice that she had no qualifications to give. Since our grooming appointment, my dog has been depressed, has the runs and is afraid when I go to touch her. She is at the vet right now being seen! I will never go back here and I recommend that you don't either. read more

I accidentally discovered Turlock Pet Shop while I was running errands in downtown Turlock. I couldn't be more happy with Jan and Noreen! Jan and Noreen are excellent groomers and take great care of their furry clients. The previous groomer/business that I used for years was sold (Pet Avenue)and the new owners didn't have a clue on how to run a business, so it was no surprise they have closed their doors. I took my dog here as it was highly recommended. What a mistake! They had her for six hours and did not take her out to relieve herself and did not give her water to drink. I had to stop on my way home so she could do her business, both 1 & 2 and she tried to drink water from the gutter. When she got home she ran straight for her water. The hair cut was absolutely terrible. Her hair was not blown out after she was bathed, so the cut was uneven. Norene cut the hair on top of her head uneven and it was barely a half inch long, she shaved her ears like a goat, and I cannot even describe the rest of the cut. It was unbelievable. Before you think I am just picky, I used to groom show dogs before I got arthritis in my hands; so I know how to groom and know what a good pet clip should look like. I would not recommend anyone take their furry friend to this place. Norene seemed like a very nice person, but she is not a groomer and I felt she did not take good care of my dog while she was there. read more
