Absolutely one of my best retail experiences EVER! My name is Kristin Ramsey, I am admittedly a shop alcoholic! I am really into shoes. LOVE THEM! So, when I recently found out that I have bad arthritis in not one but both feet, I was devastated! Last count I own 200 pairs. That I can never wear again. It is also not unusual for me to send $150 on a pair. My mother and I took in five pairs to Turn Style and I started my consignment contact. The woman who assisted me was phenomenal! Her name is Jessica and she is the new manager. Jessica was so sweet and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and some of my mother's too! As it would happen, there were about five pairs of "like brand new " shoes that someone had just dropped off to be consigned. All a size 9 1/2 (which are hard to find sometimes) Mom requested a call when they were priced. She received that call and said she'd take two pairs. The next morning when we came back to finish some paperwork, mom actually bought three pairs of the shoes. Says a lot about a woman who never spends on herself! I too made some purchases. My friend and I had one of the weirdest and most uncomfortable shopping experiences here. We've been in before and spent almost $300 in one visit. Last time, a male employee accidentally broke a painting my friend was buying at checkout. When she didn't want to pay full price for something that had just been damaged, he was clearly annoyed. When we came back, that same broken painting was still sitting there at full price. Okay. This time we were literally just browsing and heading to checkout. We weren't loud, we weren't causing issues, nothing. Out of nowhere, a male staff member told us we were being kicked out. While walking to the register, we even asked if they were closing early. They said no. So they're not closing... but we're being kicked out? And somehow we're still allowed to check out and give them our money. Make that make sense. At the register, his whole attitude was hostile and clearly meant to make us uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable enough that I didn't even want to use my card. My friend paid cash instead. Then another older male employee walked up with a smug look while we were finishing. When we calmly asked why we were being asked to leave, we were told, "the people on the cameras don't want you here." That's not an actual reason. If there was a problem, say it. If there was an assumption being made (like thinking we're resellers), communicate that. We're not. Instead, it just felt like two older male employees decided they didn't want two young women in their store and handled it in the most unprofessional way possible. I walked in here after getting my nails done. I had a date that night and thought I'd shop for a new outfit. This is just like a Plato's Closet or any other such thrift clothing sales store. The staff was really nice and the building is laid out quite well. The prices were fantastic and a great bang for your buck. I found several things to buy but ended up settling on one complete outfit. A Jean skirt and a beautiful light fall sweater. They made for a very cute combination. This store is in a nice area of town and there was plenty of close in parking. The building was clean and well maintained. My date that night loved my outfit so the excursion was a complete success. She claimed the skirt the next morning so now I need to find another one. Lol. read more

I called to find out when my items were due to expire and was told that the last day would be Oct 17th. Today October 18th I went in to pick up my unsold items. I was told they were listed as unavailable which meant that they had been already given away. I looked for one of my jackets and couldn't find it. You have to find your own things in a large area of clothing. I have never had to find my own things before. I am wondering if they sold the items and just didn't want to pay me for them. They have no right to dispose of them before the end of the consignment period. I will never consign here again and I don't recommend anybody consign here. When I took the items in they were very rude. And they don't sell very much . At least they don't pay the customer very much. Who knows? read more

Their policy says that if you return an item within seven days you will be able to get a store credit. We returned a garment within the seven days, and they said that they had already paid the person who had consigned the item. Only option was to consign the item. Seems like a scam, don't trust their printed return policy! read more

The woman who seems to run the consignment area will flat out lie to someone if she's standing in front of anyone she knows (this is what happened to me). She seemed super friendly while chatting with a friend in the back, but when I returned to speak to her only a few minutes later after the conversation ended, she was nasty to me like you wouldn't believe. I just imagined it differently, I guess. My people call it an antique store, but there are mostly clothes and they did not have rooms for linnenins today so I couldn't get paid for my pillows, not even seven dollars towards my phone apps. They ask that your clothes be put on hangers when you take them in but my hanger crisis has been resolved already, so now what? I get to keep my cramming comforter and three ugly pillows or I have to donate them so I can breathe someone else's air. Good/great prices tho. read more

I just took in $100 worth of items in today Saturday that were bought last week on Saturday ( their return policy for in store credit is 7 days) I was told I was past return date because the 7th day was considered Friday. Was then told I could re consign items but I could come back another day as consignment was closed ( mind you the entire staff was sitting in the consignment area playing on their phones) My mother and I have shopped here for years. The service at this location is abysmal. More often than not, they are unwilling to take consignments and are bearly able to get to the register. They started out well several years ago and have steadily declined. This is a national "chain" with a terrible business model. They are exactly what a consignment store shouldn't be. read more

If I could give this a consignment shop zero stars I would. When you go to bring items into them, they do not itemize what you're bringing nor are pictures taken. I brought in a Gucci purse, Lululemon yoga pants and another namebrand items. I went back to see what was sold and still on the store. Nothing is on the floor yet they're telling me my stuff has not been sold. This is a very unethical establishment and would not bring a single item to them nor would I shop there. Apparently it says somewhere in the contract that they're not responsible for items that are lost or stolen. I picked up a consignment sheet from the counter, like other employees have allowed, and just filled out my name and signed it, when she turned around and said "DON'T TOUCH THAT! I tried to bring items into the store today and had the most unhelpful response. I initially asked if I could use a cart or anything to help me with the basket I had. Being handicap and not able to carry more than 10 lbs is frustrating...not her fault...but i usually get a little help. The woman I spoke with immediately started shaking her head while I was talking and told me no we don't have anything you can use. So I then asked if I could potentially get someone to help me and she cut me off and said 'we're not allowed to leave the store'. I find this odd... do they sleep there at night? So I politely explained I'm handicap and asked if they have anything like a dolly and she told me I was welcome to use the dolly they had sitting next to her the whole time this conversation was going on...but then told me I needed to move my car to the back and I could only bring in a specific number of items... Not impressed with the process and certainly not impressed with their customer service. I know it's hard to get employees and the Check out people are usually friendly but the person in the back who consigns is always mad and very picky with clothes. It's not a good experience to take clothes in anymore so I need to find a place who actually enjoys their job. read more

I've been to this location multiple times over the last six years. The customer service is either abhorrent or nonexistent. The people checking clothes either don't have a clue about brands or someone who thinks they know brands and is completely rude to customers. They have not taken brand new high-end athletic shoes. Have not accepted new clothing from Nordstrom's with tags attached (in season). But I see garments on the racks from discount stores like Kohl's that are well worn and shoes that are decades old. I'm done with this place. I'd rather donate items or sell on eBay. Oh, and you'll find their policies change depending on who is working. read more

I will never go back to this store. I purchased a baby sweater for my granddaughter and right after I paid for it I realized it probably wouldn't fit and I needed a 24 month instead of the 18 month I bought. I didn't even leave the counter after my purchase and I decided to return it. They would only give me store credit. No refund on my debit card, no cash refund. Only store credit. Literally right when she handed me the receipt I decided to return it. Nope. The girl who checked me out was really nice as she was only there 2 days. Her trainer was rude and he could care less about customers. Buyers beware. read more

Had our first experience here recently. I would have to say customer service is not a strong point. Walked around all the furniture and home goods. Very little in the clothing area, and looked at the counters by check out. Was never greeted by an employee. Not sure who an employee was. There was two women talking the whole time we were there, no one else in the store. I thought maybe they were two customers, but never saw anyone else. Maybe a employee and a friend, or two employees. Either way, in your store for a extended period of time, and no one bothered to say welcome, hi, hello, can I help you, nothing. Made me feel like I was intruding by trying to support a small business. Not impressed. A simple hello, and a smile go a long way in showing a customer they are valued and have them wanting to come back. read more

The quality of selection has seriously diminished within the last two years. I think they need to look into new management. I happily took items to consign which were accepted without problems prior to recent management. I bought several items this past weekend from the store on Wadsworth in Littleton. One was a costume ring. When I got home and went thru the bag. It was not there. I took my receipt and went back to the store. Of course it was not on the counter and the clerk would not refund my money or let me get another one because she could not prove I never got it. Had a horrible experience trying to consign household goods. Was treated so badly I left the store and will never return. When I asked for the manager I was told the person I was dealing with was the manager. A customer in the store overheard the manager and stepped forward and said, "Do you have any idea how negative and nasty your attitude sounds? Subsequently the customer said, "I refuse to shop in a store where people are treated badly." She turned around and walked out. I did the same. My advice: it is not worth being treated badly for a couple of bucks from a consignment sale. Save your dignity and donate to ARC or Goodwill. read more

If you are selling, I dealt with a very rude buyer. I brought in a new pair of shoes and because the brand writing was a lighter shade on the bottom of the shoe..I was told they were "too worn." I tried to explain that they had never been worn and that it was just the coloring. I attempted to kindly show her the bottom of the shoes (that are completely clean within scuff marks or wear and tear) and she completely ignored me. Definitely won't be bringing any more items to sell. I wouldn't recommend selling. If you are buying clothes they have a great selection. read more

This store may have a good selection, but I don't know and won't go back because the first time I tried to go they were closing an hour earlier than the info I found online and the second time I had a couple hours to shop I had my toddler who sits great in a cart, but guess what? This store is definitely a cut above Arc and Goodwill as far as quality goes, but it is truly overpriced. I rarely find what can be called a "good deal", an example being a used dress I bought today for $25. Found the same brand and very similar style in new condition at Nordstrom Rack for only $10 more. I've been going to this TurnStyle location on a weekly basis to consign items that I purchase at estate sales for a few months now. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. They're really clear on the rules. Clothing must be on hangars. First come, first serve as far as reviewing items brought in for consignment, which means that it can take a while for them to get around to checking your items. They are understaffed at times, but still manage to maintain a good attitude. If asked why they did not accept an item, they are willing to explain, which stops consignors from bringing in things that they won't accept, if the consignor is willing to listen to the reasoning. read more

She said they only take non-wrinkled clothes that is pressed (which is understandable) but the way she said it to us was very mean. Consignor beware! Wow. I wish I had read these reviews before consigning here. My experience and opinions were the same as so many other reviewers': LOST/STOLEN item and very poor customer service. Someone had referred me to Turn Style, a consignment store I'd never heard of before, but one that I thought I'd give a try. Last summer I brought in some items - clothes and shoes. I'd call periodically to check to see if they'd sold, but as none had by the end of September, I made plans to come in to the store and pick my items up. Not only was I going to have to find the items, myself, but I was going to have to pay $1/item to get them back. I found all but two of my items: a pair of women's dress shoes size 7 (original price $150) and a blouse. Despite careful looking at all of Turnstyles' shoes - including those in the men's and children's sections -- I could not find my shoes (which were listed on the consignor sheet as SHOE KIDS, size 5, despite their obviously being women's shoes). When I could not find them, the front desk clerk, Valerie, reluctantly said she'd help me look for them as soon as she checked out two other customers who were at the front desk, who had come to check out after I'd been standing at the front desk, waiting for help. Valerie walked up and down the aisles, but couldn't find the shoes, either. She checked the back to see if "someone had put them on hold." No one had. Recourse? "Well, you could call tomorrow; I'm off, but I'll let the girls know." I called the following day and two days after that. No one could find my shoes. I was simply out of luck. Stolen? Maybe. Taken by an employee? Maybe. I was reminded by both Valerie and a manager, Tara, that I did sign the contract that absolved the store from any lost or stolen merchandise. While I understand this, I do expect that a shop care for the items that customers consign. They did find the last item I wasn't able to, and I said I'd come to pick that up. The blouse was hanging at the front desk, waiting for me to retrieve. No one was at the front desk, again, so I looked around. I saw Valerie toward the back of the store, putting items on a shelf. She saw me, and I waited a couple of minutes for her to come to the front desk, but she continued her work. Finally, I went back to where she was working, and she immediately called me by name. She had seen me when I came in, ignored me, and waited for me to come to her. I retrieved my blouse - still no shoes. Valerie had no explanation or comment for me - worst of all: NO APOLOGY - from either her nor the manager. As for the merchandise, itself? Mostly kitsch and dated clothing/shoes. And if you can tolerate nasty clerks and risking your items being missing/stolen, Turn Style's for you. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

As as a consignor, my experience has been almost consistently poor. Some of the girls who work up front where people are buying are friendly and pleasant, but the consignor experience has been awful. One day I went in with clothing and the woman was just rude and super snarky. At the end of the interaction she said, "Sorry, I'm just having a really bad day." I let it slide - who doesn't have a bad day? Still, I was surprised anyone would treat a customer like that. Another time, I went in with goods to consign in the middle of the pandemic. I had clothing and several large household items. Unbeknownst to me, they'd changed their policy during this time and on my first trip inside, the young lady at the consignment desk informed me I could only bring her as much as I could carry in by myself in one trip. This caught me by surprise and I thought/ said aloud, "Oh, that's impossible" to which she replied, "It sounds like a personal problem." Wow!!! Really?? The final straw was this week, when I walked in carrying 3 small pieces of framed art under my arm. Behind the consignment desk, 2 women stood working. One barely glanced at me and said, "We're not excepting framed art right now." The second just looked annoyed and said, "Did you just come in the front door? Consignors need to use the back door. This store is good. They once again lean towards the older women clothing like 50's 60's age group but if you look you can find a gem or two in here. On my first and recent trip I was able to find a nice dress 50% off and a pair of bobs shoes. They had a large lot of cowboy boots but I couldn't find anything I liked and a few of them were way overpriced as is with 60% of the items in here. They have some furniture and what not. I think the other location has better furniture and niker naks. These places are always fun to go in have a look around though. The girls that work there are always nice. read more
