My father had the misfortune of spending the last two years of his life there and was treated horribly. The staff was surly and the supervisors were rude and top management didn't give a damn. And unfortunately, he remained very lucid until the end and just couldn't believe he was being treated so poorly. I just feel sorry for the other residents of HCV who are living a very nice life in their apartments and villas. Eventually they are going to end up in Dujarie where they will get lousy care, will become dehydrated routinely and they will ask them themselves how they ended up in such an uncaring environment after they were treated so well while they were independently living in their apartments other areas of HCV. I strongly suggest St. Paul's!

Even though, I was under half the usual age of the average resident. I felt well accepted by everyone. I had to celebrate my birthday during my stay st Creekside. The nurses and aids even threw me a little surprise party. I felt very welcome and loved. I knew it wasn't home, but if I ever have to recover from a huge surgery inpatient again, I will be going to Creekside again. I wouldn't be walking as good as I am now. Without the help from the physical and occupational therapists.

I turned on his light for help twice and it was ignored. He was falling out of his chair . I was able to get him to the door way . I have to walk with a walker and it was not easy to get there. A person from the office came by and saw it and called for help and they came but had she hadn't come by, he wouldn't have been helped. They want him out of there before Medicares 20 days so they can charge more by private pay. I am looking for a better place and have appointments to check the places out before I move him. I wish I had checked this place and he wouldn't have gone there from the hospital. The 2 places I choose were full so this was my third choose. What a mistake.

Grand Emerald is horrible. They are great sales people selling you on a great place that is an absolute nightmare. the staff is often ignoring patients and family concerns. They charged my family member a different elevated amount every month stating she needed more care. From looking at the care I've witnessed or been told by my family member - they provide minimal care. They overcharge for these so called extra services and then didn't provide them. They take advantage of the elderly for their memory issues. My family member sat for hours in her own ursine and feces without anyone to help. My family member was scared to live there. When I moved my family member they tried to bill me for extra fees and days she wasn't even there. I had the new place conduct an evaluation and the attached photos are her feet - she couldn't even walk and these supposed "extra services" had to have been going on for months. One time she fell in her room and no one responded to her alarm and she laid on the floor for an hour until she had to crawl to the hallway to get any help. Now I'm being referred to a collection agency because I informed them that 1) they charged for days she wasn't there and 2) she was fraudulently billed for services they didn't do. Baths - no. Cleaning room - no. Then her feet? I'm hoping to save others family from being abused and taken advantage. She sat in the vestibule of the grocery store from 9 a.m. until 1:34 p.m. when police were dispatched. Officers called Hellenic Senior Living to let them know she was left there and they said there was NOTHING they could do about it :( OMG! I would be finding a new care facility! This is unacceptable! at 1:54 p.m. the officer was transporting her back to the facility. How sad is this???? Do not place anyone at this facility. ....omg, so sad! She sat there without anyone realizing she was missing for over 4 hours. She had not eaten, used a restroom or had anyone care for her except for a decent human being that noticed she had been sitting there for quite some time while they shopped.
