They told memorial hospital before they accepted my transfer that they had all the supplies and equipment that I need to live. Gtube extensions, food supplements, meds , etc etc. I got here and they had nothing. I had to get all my food supplements and tubes from my house. It took them 6 days to get any of those things. So if not for bringing my own food and supplies I would have not eaten anything for 5-6 days. And as for my meds, they were confused about that also. It's not approved yet but soon. I heard that for a day or two. So if you're coming here or sending a loved one. Good luck. It's very hit and miss with the nurses. Here's an example of the way things are here. Posted as a non smoking facility. ONLY FOR THE RESIDENTS Administration and all others are allowed to smoke. Outside only of course but none the less. That's how the administration runs this FINE business.

No rxs given for diabetes meter/test strips/lancets. Went in to pick up rx and it was incomplete (no lancets, no quantity, no directions). No speech therapy rx. No dietary instructions for newly diagnosed diabetic. No instructions on how to test blood sugar level or even what the range should be. The manager of the nurses (Kalie? Not sure of spelling) said she would personally call my mom to apologize- she didn't. That's a shame because she is probably the only decent thing about that place aside from the speech therapist. The place was dirty. The receptionist buzzed us in without asking any info- so not really 24 hour security. Although the receptionist was rarely at her desk. Same for nurses who were far and few between- you could rarely find help. Save yourself the headache and find another place with better quality care. One that doesn't need its own employees to rate their business.

Officers called Hellenic Senior Living to let them know she was left there and they said there was NOTHING they could do about it :( OMG! I would be finding a new care facility! This is unacceptable! at 1:54 p.m. the officer was transporting her back to the facility. How sad is this???? Do not place anyone at this facility. ....omg, so sad! She sat there without anyone realizing she was missing for over 4 hours. She had not eaten, used a restroom or had anyone care for her except for a decent human being that noticed she had been sitting there for quite some time while they shopped.

A person from the office came by and saw it and called for help and they came but had she hadn't come by, he wouldn't have been helped. They want him out of there before Medicares 20 days so they can charge more by private pay. I am looking for a better place and have appointments to check the places out before I move him. I wish I had checked this place and he wouldn't have gone there from the hospital. The 2 places I choose were full so this was my third choose. What a mistake.
