I love supporting women, and women-owned businesses. That is why I based my review after three appointments. I booked a two hour Contour facial. I'm in school and work full time so taking two hours to do anything requires a massive trade off and really needs to be worth it. This was not. So the appointment begins after the obligatory small talk. Much like other aestheticians, Lawrence evaluates your skin and offers suggestions on which service is best. She recommended a lymphatic drainage facial. I agreed. PS this facial does not leave you glowy. I'm guessing because it uses little product. Much like my prior visits, Lawrence treated the appointment like a sales pitch- punctuated with moments of silence. Again she promoted the LED mask and her friend Frank's outrageously over priced micro-needling. Again, not the relaxing vibe I wanted. When I checked out, a couple of things happened. She "didn't know how to use a credit card" to process payment. Requesting repeatedly that I pay with Zelle. Also fine, but be clear on your website that you only accept cash payment. She also charged me more than the service I had selected. Lymphatic drainage facials are more expensive than the Contour facial. Had she explained that when she proposed it, it would've been fine. The whole experience felt unpleasant and unprofessional. I will not be returning. read more

I'm so happy I found Laurence. She is a total skin nerd, extremely knowledgeable and has all the fancy machines to help her do magic with your skin. I recently started working with Laurence to address multiple challenges with my skin. I am so grateful to have found her! The skin analysis leveraging state-of-the-art technology was very informative and based on my results, she recommended a series of lymphatic drainage facials. I had a really lovely experience visiting Laurence and getting a facial from her. She has a tool that does a skin analysis (I've seen these used at Kiehl's as well) and gives you a ton of information about your skin's hydration levels, oil, inflammation, etc. Based on this data and info she helps you determine what type of treatment your skin needs. Since my hydration/oil levels were in the normal range, but my skin's inflammation was a bit high, she suggested the lymphatic drainage treatment. Her light, gentle movements helped stimulate circulation in my skin and was also incredibly relaxing. About 7 years ago I saw a beautiful woman in her late 60s with amazingly glowing skin who attributed her skin youthfulness to Laurence. I have been Laurence's client since. Her experience, knowledge, sincere care about me as a client and constant strive to learn more in her field show well on my skin. Laurence is very warm, down to earth and sincere. I have problem skin. It is always oily and doesn't like to behave itself. But I have been seeing Laurence for about 2 years now and my skin is the best it has ever been and I do not say that lightly. She's fantastic! I got a grant to go to Dr. Akil Palinasamy who prescribed a series of Ayurvedic massages which totally rock (helping my kidneys detox dontcha know) so it's totally free to me. But I would pay big money if I had it because she totally knows her stuff and my body feels so much better the next day. Luckily my skin is so dry so I experimented with leaving the oil on till the next day (it soaked in and didn't stain anything) and I noticed even better results. It also helps if you can go straight home and nap afterwards. Your body needs to rest while other bits take care of other business. She's never done a fascia style massage because that's not what was prescribed but her attention to knots lets me know that she's prolly quite good at this style also. If I ever win the lottery, I would definitely find a spot in her busy schedule no matter how long I had to wait. And you know what a long wait means, right? She really is very very good. She's authentic and it's not just skin care. Ayurvedic medicine has been around for thousands of years for a reason. It is subtle so if you're looking for a toggle switch, this aint your thing. If you notice subtle things, like you feel better and you can't quite put your finger on why but you know that the only thing you did differently today from yesterday is X, then maybe this will work for you. If you want to take a pill and have your issue magically disappear it isn't. This type of medicine requires an awareness that is not always possible in this quick paced world. Try it again when you can find some calmness in your life. read more
