This one star review is for its administration not for its doctors. The doctors are awesome! ! This is why it's so frustrating because everyone wants to see these doctors. But unfortunately the doctors are oblivious to its admin staffs actions. Called to simply make an annual check up for my daughter and the phone was busy from opening time of 8:30am and stayed busy -9am. At 9:01am they started to actually answer the phone and said, pediatrics is busy can you hold a moment? I said yes, at 9:30am I hung up and called again. She answered immediately which means my 30 mins hold was all for nothing as I was forgotten on hold. I'll never get my 30 mins of my life wasted back! I asked for an appointment and they said to call back next month! WTF!!!? I'm at the mercy of these people! What else can I do other than share my numerous frustrations with their admin staff! Maybe one of them who cares about customer service will try and make things better and try to alleviate the level of incompetence that currently exists. Who knows maybe a doctor of the practice will actually read their Yelp reviews. It maybe time to change practices regardless of their great doctors. What a shame that a bunch of clock in clock outs can ruin a practice! read more

I have been with Turow and Tierney Pediatrics for 24 years. I have 3 children and my two eldest have aged out of the practice (unfortunately - although I am certain they would still see my adult children). I can not say enough good things about the doctors here. They are among the kindest, most knowledgeable and devoted clinicians I have ever known. Each of them has gone above and beyond to help my children (one with a very rare genetic condition). Truly outstanding. read more

Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to see the physicians. Apparently new patients need to be scheduled by the "office manager" who apparently is out on a Tuesday and won't be in until Friday. Therefore I need to wait at least 3 days to talk to someone who could take a look a the calendar and possibly schedule me. I hope the existing patients continue to be happy because new patients are essentially turned away. This place was my first choice but very put off by the way the office is run. The physician and the office together make the whole experience, and it is not okay to make slight of patients' time (existing and new), especially when it comes to matters requiring medical attention. read more

I like the doctors, which is why I'm staying at this pediatrician (for now). The office staff, not so much. I've had numerous issues with them. First of all, they take an hour and a half break in the middle of the day and are unreachable at that time. I also had a front desk staff tell me my last name is funny, which is pretty rude. Finally, I have a form for day care that needs to be filled out by the doctor and their fax hasn't been working for a month, I finally tried to mail it a week ago, at this point, the form expires in 2 days and I called the office and they have the form I mailed but said it probably won't be filled out today or tomorrow. Seriously?? How about fixing your fax machine?? I don't want to put my day care in a situation where they're liable for anything without an updated form. **Edit: I have also had multiple visits where I am leaving work early and going there to give my son a specific shot, and when I get there they tell me they're out of the vaccine. I work in Westchester at an hourly job, it's not exactly easy for me to get to this doctor so I would appreciate a heads up before I drive an hour to get there! Since my daughter was born almost 4 years ago she has seen 3 of the Dr.'s at Turow and Tierney pediatrics. Turow, Tierney and Zausmer are experts, caring and logical. My husband and I trust these Doctors. For that we have always overlooked- The front desk, which is unorganized, condescending, and just to be redundant blatantly rude. I do not know them, nor acknowledge them more than a head behind the glass. I prefer to be happy. When your child is up all night and sick, you don't want to talk to one of the receptionists at 8:30. Whom will be telling you how fast they could get into the office and what they would do if their kid was sick...who does that? Judgemental people. These comments are to spread awareness. As a first time mom I'm very specific and kinda Of nervous about everything I am leaving this practice I was recommended from my delivery hospital lij and I took my daughter 3 days after birth to 2 months but I'm kinda bummed I have to make the switch ! The reason be I feel like they're not fully Thorough and all the doctors are not on the same page I took her for her 2 months wellness visit they didnt do the physical like check her ears and mouth or heartbeat nothing quick just take her wait and go over the sheet from last visit and just ask me how she's doing and that's it and you're not all on the same page with each other and you see different doctors and Its not personalize as I wanted to be.The office is busy and sometimes you Don't even see the doctor you see nurses and then on top of all this they billed my insurance for the wrong visit causing me to have to pay out of pocket when I went for a check up for my new born .I wouldn't recommend them 100% due your research the area is nice the location but if you want personal care and no just a doctor for your child then i suggest elsewhere read more

Dr. Turow is an excellent Pediatrician. I used to go to him for both my kids but the time to travel from queens to the office and back was time consuming and i had to look for a local dr. There is no one like him and especially if you are new parent you don't know what to ask or expect, he will explain everything without you saying anything and will write things down for you. I would give 5 stars but most of the staff at the office are rude in person and on the phone. they think they own the place. They should really work on their professionalism as they are the face of the office. read more

This pediatric office is by far the most organized and smooth flowing I've ever seen. I'm a mom of 2, and am so grateful I started off with this office. Dr Turow is brilliant, so attentive and he really knows his stuff. He does NOT push medications that aren't absolutely necessary. He is understanding of parents wants and need to parent their own way. Do non judgmental of parenting choices. My oldest daughter was always sick and ended up admitted to the ER. He not only was so attentive, he called us 3x a day and visited her every single day until we were discharged. I will always be so thankful that we are so lucky to have a pediatrician who we trust entirely. read more

Great Doctors...TERRIBLE FRONT DESK...they are nasty and rude and always seem bothered...people like that should not be the first face you see entering and office, especially for a pediatric office...I only stay here because I absolutely love doctor Turow, as he is a very intelligent and nice doctor as well as Dr Tierney. The five stars are for those two doctors as well as the nurse Barbara who is the best as well! So sweet and so helpful with everything. read more

The best pediatricians ever!!! This is the most wonderful team, they are truly invested in their patients, which is so comforting for new parents bringing their children in! They are very open to listening to parents, instead of rolling over them...this was a concern from previous experiences. read more

It's hard to put into words just how much I love this practice. I always knew I loved and trusted them. But I literally have tears in my eyes over how my son and my family were treated the past week. For context, this review was written during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic. My son spiked high fevers in the 103-104 range for days. I probably called the on call number at least 8 times. I was never rushed. At 3am Dr. Zausmer spoke to me with the kindness and patience of someone bright eyed and well rested. The next day my son had to be seen - but what to do? Wait for sick hours at the end of the day only to expose him (who may not even have COVID) to a waiting room full of germs? Would you believe Dr. Turrow came to my car to treat him there? And even then - never rushed me! From the trunk of my car on a windy day, at a lunch-time appointment when they don't even see kids, this doctor smiled, distracted my son with toys, and answered every question with patience. These people are risking their lives going to work every day and still are somehow smiling and so clearly loving the kids. It was really nice to see. The next couple days later (it's all a blur) he broke out in a rash. This basically confirmed Roseola but I mentioned to Dr. Soma I was nervous about Kawasaki. She assured me on the phone it sounded nothing like it. About an hour later, she called. She had me text a photo. That means, we'll after the work day, after she hung up, she was still thinking about my kid. (Spoiler alert: its not Kawasaki.) Anyway, this practice is so wonderful. I wanted to send an edible arrangement or something as a thank you but I'm concerned they may not want the germs in the office. So I took the time to write this yelp review instead, and will try to remember to send something when all this calms down. By the way, Dr. Tierney is also an absolute sweetheart from other experiences. She just managed to hit the luck of the on call draw and avoid this whole nightmare that the other 3 doctors were all involved in. Please pick this practice. My 14 year old has been seen by Dr, Turow and Tierney since he was born. They have always provided exceptional care for him. They are now doing the same with my 7 month old twins. I honestly wouldn't look any further. The staff is always welcoming and pleasant. If you need advice from the nurse you can leave a message and she will always get back to you. Dr. Turow is awesome. I highly recommend him. I understand at one point they closed the practice because they were at capacity. Hard to get into the practice. Other docs are solid as well. Good facilities. Dr. Turow is a pro, great bedside manner with the kids. read more

Dr Turow has been my sons doctor for the last 15 years . I'm hoping we can stay with Dr Turow for another 15 years. He's the absolute best.

I would give it 5 stars if the front desk was pleasant. Everything seems like a hassle to them. The doctor will tell you to bring your child back the following week, and when you try to make another appointment it's either "call another time because the person who does that isn't here" or "I can't give you an appointment because I don't have any." If that's the case, then speak to the doctor because there's miscommunication there. I really love the doctors, but I really dread calling or dealing with the front desk. read more

I can't say enough good things about his practice. As a first time mom I probably call them more than I should and they are never annoyed, super respectful and get in me in whenever I need it. Dr Turow and Dr Tierney are both wonderful to work with and so good with my son (now 3 months). So happy to have pediatricians we can rely on for the years to come! read more

i really like their office. all of the doctors are super friendly and the facility is clean. i never had to really wait for more than 10 minutes and the doctors actually take their time with you instead of being in and out. highly recommended! read more
