Further, after a pleasant conversation with Zack - he called me a liar, threatened me telling me he will contact my employer after me leaving a "false" one star review. He threatened me further calling me dumb for not being able to read. He claims to operate under no rules because he does not have a CPA - further called me dumb for not understanding this notion. Zack has displayed behavior that leaves me in fear that he has my personal information or anyone's of that matter. Zack - best of luck "talking to my boss" and thanks for threatening me. The right thing to do here is process a refund. It's that simple. Keep the money brotha - peace! He even deleted my accounts so I cannot further contact him or obtain any of my documentation.

Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

I've been a loyal Block Advisors customer for many years and have trusted the Ardmore office with…read morethe tax preparation needs of multiple small businesses I've built. Unfortunately, the quality of service has steadily declined, culminating in what has been by far my worst experience. Block Advisors made an error on one of our tax returns that resulted in us receiving a government penalty. To their credit, my advisor immediately acknowledged the mistake, apologized and assured me that if I paid the fine upfront, Block Advisors would reimburse me. I relied on that promise and paid the penalty. That was months ago. Since then, I've sent multiple follow-up emails and made numerous phone calls, all of which have gone unanswered. I have records of my communications, yet despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I have received no meaningful response and have not been reimbursed. Everyone makes mistakes, and I understand that. What matters is how a business responds when those mistakes occur. In this case, what started as a tax preparation error has become a customer service failure. The complete lack of communication has been far more disappointing than the original mistake itself. After many years as a loyal customer, I expected significantly better. I hope this review encourages potential customers to consider the many far better alternatives when it comes to tax preparation.

After having my taxes prepared and spending $175, I was waiting to be picked up. I guess my ride didn't get there fast enough. Someone "whispers" to the receptionist "she's still there?" Yes, I was still there in an empty lobby with 32 degrees outside, so what? So after receiving the prompt from whoever, the receptionist comes over to me and repeats my appointment details (person and time, the appointment was already over.) I said yes, that was my appointment and she didn't say anything else. It was harmful to them for me to wait for my ride how? I left when my ride got there (my car was at the dealership down the street getting inspection). Don't unnecessarily rude for no reason.
