Center of park. Not as advertised

Dirty, dusty even though they water the road the RV pads are rough. Very uneven. All newcomers be prepared to be assigned a trash bin view. Erosion behind pads and tree's roots exposed leaves trees vulnerable to falling right on RVers.

Great people and great place. You can walk to the beach without crossing any traffic and a lot of the sites have hot tubs for your private use. We picked one with a hot tub and enjoyed sitting in it under the stars. The sites are large, have full hookups and a nice fire ring for sitting around and enjoying a fire at night.

    Campsite and our dogs!

What an AMAZING stay we had, busy weekend and we were tent camping, got different spaces to choose from, found a choice spot.. Staff is on hand, friendly and helpful. Place is very clean reasonably priced and the amenities are well stocked across the board.

Road to site #95 and all sites in rear closest to ocean beach access. Rental cabins along right side of road and RV camp sites on left.

Campground over all was descent and Mexican restaurant on site had DELICIOUS food and friendly service but our site was horrible. We booked over the phone (instead of onsite) hoping we could make sure we got what we needed, however, that did not help. We were told site #95 was 47' and spacious enough for our rig and 8ft bed Ram 3500 dually, to park comfortably in front of the RV. We ended up having to CAREFULLY fit the truck 'next' to our rig in between 2 other trees. We were directed by the office to go in down their main road towards our site, one way, which ended up having a very low bearing untrimmed over-hanging bushy tree which our 36' ft / 13'6 high fifth wheel rubbed against. Needless to say there was another way to go in which would have avoided that, had we not listened to their directions! Our site also had huge trees everywhere and on each side of our spot as well as a rental cabin and another huge tree across the road from us so trying to back in and maneuver was BEYOND CHALLENGING!!! In fact, 3 different friendly neighbors came out to help us, agreeing they had no idea how the office could have even given us that spot. Luckily with the extra help, all 4 of us, plus my husband's patience, and many challenges, we finally got parked safely. All the trees also drastically affected our Starlink during our stay, and we had specifically explained (when booking), our work/starlink situation. It was a very busy packed holiday weekend also, and was 'extremely' noisy as they mix in tents and RV's instead of separating those areas. The main highway runs along that rear park area and the beach so the closer you are to the back, the highway noise is pretty bad even at night. We have a pretty solid rv and ran a fan in our bedroom for sound so other and to drown it out. On a positive note, the beach is within walking distance and the Mexican restaurant on site had DELICIOUS food and friendly service! We ate twice from there including take out. If they would pay better attention to where they place people and listen to their customers on needs and rig sizes, it may have been a better experience. They also need to keep tenting and rigs separate like other campgrounds do. We recommend when booking CALL and also ENSURE you park by the office and go WALK TO YOUR SPOT FIRST to make sure 'for yourself' best way to get to it, and into it. Don't follow an employees directions! Our bad!!!

    Rv space

Love this rv resort. We got the hot tub patio rv river front space. Everything was great. The hot tub was clean and hot. The space was clean. The park is clean and everyone was super friendly. The beach is close with a trail just under 101. Will definately return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Turtle Rock RV Resort. It was the perfect place to take our grandkids camping. We had a blast! Staff was VERY friendly! It gets pretty windy at the beach but still fun! Clean, quiet FUN

Hair that was under where you crawl in bed. What a nice surprise

We stayed here from June 28 through July 6th with my sister and her family who done the booking. We rented 2 cabins and the vacation rental house. What a disappointment. When we arrived we had noticed that the grass around the vacation house hadn't been mowed in a very long time. The back yard grass was knee high and the younger kids couldn't even play. One of the Cabin where my nephew was going to stay they moved the dresser to put in a pack and play for their baby and the outlet was smoking. We called immediately and they come and done a quick fix. The other cabin we had rented the toilet was just sitting on the floor and was not secured. We called and this issue was never fixed. You had to be careful when sitting down as it was very wobbly. The vacation house was disgustingly dirty. We addressed the issue and was told they were sorry. There was so much hair underneath a chair it looked like someone had brushed their dog and just brushed it under. The mats coming in the door was full of dog hair as well. The master bedroom shower looked like it hadn't been clean in a very long time. Pictures will show who gross it was. The floors in the corners looked like the cleaners literally just swept the dirt and hair into the corners. The decks and chairs with the hot tubs were not cleaned. some of the chairs were full of grease as they were near a BBQ. The BBQ grill was so gross we had to use foil as we couldn't even burn off the old stuff. We found dishes, silver ware and pans dirty in all of the drawers and cabinets. Do the cleaners not see There was sewer smell in the through the entire stay inside of the house and outside of the house. Especially if we were doing laundry. My sister went to the office and told them and she was told that someone would come and address it. Maintenance came out to address the issue but the gentleman didn't speak English and so she translated the best she could. Nothing happened as he just left and never returned. When you spend $9000.00 for 3 places with this resort you would expect that it would be cleaner, the grass mowed so the kids could play and the issues you shared with the office desk would be resolved. The Mexican restaurant on sight was good and most of the staff was pleasant and said hello when we seen them. But again, you would expect it would be cleaner, the issues to be resolved and at least if they couldn't a small refund made back to you for the inconvenience.

Great place. Staff is very knowledgeable of the area and friendly. I can't wait to come back. You have a path that takes you to the beach. Great food on the premises at Tortuga Mexican Restaurant.

    Micah enjoying some beach time.

The last time we stayed here was 15 years ago. We were in a cottage that was very nice and the other two families stayed in RV's. It was that first experience that brought us back when looking for a place to meet up with friends. Us in our RV and them in a cottage. Let's just say a lot can change in 15 years. They've added a lot more cottages so it feels over crowded. The cottage our friends had (51) is in bad need of repair, updating, and a deep clean. The recliner mechanism is broke on one of the rocker/recliners. The dinette table needs to be refinished as everything sticks to it. There is a furnace vent in middle of floor that get very hot and will burn feet or paws. Though there are beds for 5, there are only 2 deck chairs. I guess they expect you to drag some of the 4 dinette chairs back and forth. The small gas grill was very dirty. So, at $228 a night it's definitely over priced. Our RV site (50) was nice but trees and bushes are overgrown making rig positioning tricky in order to get slides out. The cable for TV was useless. No reception in RV and very poor reception in cottage. Park wifi was bad, fortunately for us this cottage did have it's own wifi router so that was positive. $68 per night is much too high for what you get. No stars removed for this, but to cap off everything else for the week, we had gail force winds (20-35 mph) on all but the first day. This meant beach time was out unless you wanted to get sand blasted. Disappointing for us and especially for the 4 Goldens. We won't be back.

    Gorgeous!

We have been here for 3 weeks and just right by the ocean and inside the park well kept and feels like right in a forest! Very happy here and very affordable!!!

Staying at Indian Creek this last week I wanted to shed light on a few things. The tent area where we stayed was decent. The fences were replaced due to a rough winter and the sites seemed clean. The bathrooms look repainted and had a sign on them stating daily maintenance. That I can tell you in not true as the bathrooms in the tent area are not routinely checked on. The prices however continue to rise and maintenance and overall comfort goes down. Pack em in and make em pay should be the motto. The family itself is on of the wealthiest in Gold Beach and should be over joyed to represent Gold Beach and welcome visitors with not only open arms but clean and well maintained facilities. Several campers shared with us that they felt like they were walking on egg shells during their stay. General concensus it that it was/is due to the power trip/uptight owner. Guests worrying about if their chair leg or other might be set in a forbidden area, right next to their rig etc. Being grass obsessed is one thing. Known to berate people out on a whim is another deal. Geez, tone it down a bit and give people some space to relax. Pros: *Super quiet *Staff helps guide rigs in to park. *Probably not great for kids. *Beautiful location on the river. *Bathrooms; very clean. *Prices are reasonable. *Decent wifi. *Owner pays attention to keep the riff raff out. Cons: *Gravel spots. *Super small patios that are heaving which could lead to twisted ankles exiting rigs. (Request to owner: Remove some of the lawn and improve patio size, this much needed improvement would also use less water and allow patio furniture more space). *Uptight guy owner. *Many deer hazards on the road to town.

We usually visit the Northern Beach (Seaside) and enjoy it very much, but our visit to the South was extremely pleasant. We made reservations ahead of time at The Rogue River Landing in Gold Beach. We were greeted by the owners Bernard and Sahar Ortiz and their quiet but lovely daughter Alex. They treated us just like family and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and most of all comfortable. They succeeded greatly at both. We stayed in the King of the Hill unit and our Grandkids stayed in the unit next to it. Talk about beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife. We woke up the first morning to four wild turkeys gobbling under our bedroom window. There were plenty of Eagles, Osprey and deer. Also some very friendly Blue Jays and one particularly friendly swallow that flew into our living room as we left the doors open to enjoy the cool breeze and fresh mountain/ocean air. The swallow was released without harm after a short photo session. The boys went out on the ocean and had a great time and caught some outstanding fish. Now we're home and going to enjoy some fish taco's The accommodations at Rogue Landing are very well kept, clean and comfortable. A visitors happiness is indeed top priority for the Ortiz Family and we greatly appreciate all that they did to make our stay very memorable. Gold Beach is very limited on dining locations most of which close very early. Bernard and Sahar a working very hard on remodeling and reopening their onsite restaurant. We got a tour of how things are going and truthfully, this is going to be THE PLACE to eat in the area. Bernard is personally finishing the tops of the tables and they are gorgeous. The restaurant has views of the river that are breathtaking. We are contemplating returning for the restaurant opening so we are going to watch The Rogue River Landing website. (https://wwwrogueriverlanding.com) We took the advice of Bernard and Sahar to travel the thirty minutes to Brookings for more choice of food and shopping. Bernard passes his free time which I can see he doesn't have much of to handcraft knives. He has a great selection and they are for sale. He is friends with one of the knife makers on Forged in Fire and he produces quality knives. I highly recommend The Rogue River Landing for fishing, sightseeing or just sitting back and relaxing. The evenings were quiet, dark and very peaceful. I cannot overemphasize the great time we had and will most assuredly be returning. Booking the trip was relatively straightforward, but Morrisons highly encouraged us to do trip insurance because they don't offer refunds, which should've been the first red flag. Before I go too far, I do want to give a huge shout out to our guides Drew, Adam, and Johnny. They were amazing, and if I were rating just them, this review would be 5++ stars. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cared about us and our hike. The rest of the Morrison's staff...not so much. There was an active wildfire in the area before we started the hike. We talked to Morrison's several times in the days leading up to the trip (before we flew out) and even asked about rebooking the trip for a different time, when the forest in the area wasn't on fire. We were assured that even though they were planning a few modifications to our itinerary (i.e. at least one day of rafting instead of hiking), they were confident that it would be a wonderful trip. Fast forward to the end of day 2 of our trip...and they had to cancel the rest of the 4-day hike due to safety concerns and, ultimately, a mandatory evacuation. To be clear, I'm not upset that we were pulled out of the woods, as that was an obvious safety decision. I'm mad because we specifically asked about rebooking for different dates and were told no. Morrison's got us back to their main lodge the following morning, at which point they considered themselves done with us. There was no refund, no help finding rooms for the night, and the last lodge we were in literally wouldn't even let us use the bathroom in the hour we were waiting for vans to get us back to safety. Morrison's did at least send us all an official email about the trip cancellation so that we could share that with our travel insurance (if we'd purchased it) to try to get a refund, but that was about it. Morrisons also made the guides tell us, rather than having anyone higher up in the company talk to us. From what we can tell, they also didn't do anything to help their guides (e.g. helping them find lodging) once the trip was canceled. I will also add that I'm vegetarian, and although there was a lot of very tasty vegetarian food available, vegetarian protein was extremely scarce. For dinner the two nights we hiked (~9 mi on day 1 and 15 mi on day 2), there was no source of vegetarian protein for me to eat. (The gluten free and dairy free people fared much better.) It would've been so easy to roast a portobello mushroom the way they roasted salmon, or to do some kind of meat substitute when they did ribs (they did have meat substitute at the lunches, and eggs or veggie patties at breakfast). I had brought some protein powder with me, but not enough to make up for dinners without protein. My friends ended up giving me the protein bars they'd brought for themselves to try to make up for the dinners. To Morrison's: please consider all macronutrients (carbs, fat, AND protein) when planning meals for your guests! Overall, I would absolutely go back to the river with any of the guides, but I'll never use Morrisons again, and I recommend that you don't either.
