The owners of the in were so nice and accommodating. They were great at hosting and give the guest their space. The meal and presentation was so nice. We also got to take a tour of the inn and it was so beautiful. Hopefully in the future we will get to come back and stay here!

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.

UPDATE: Okay, I spent the night, and can update a bit. The breakfast was very nice. Truly good…read morecoffee, the proprietors are quite pleasant and attentive. The house is an older house, it's a bit rough in a couple of areas but, lovely for the most part. My business colleague and I were the only ones here. I think we were here during an off-time. I would give them four stars but, there were just a few things I can't forgive. Mildew on one of my wash cloths - blech! But, the other towels were fine, and it was very clean. Noticeable water damage in the bathroom....it wasn't actively leaking or being gross but, really? That's something that needs to be fixed. Original review: Well, isn't this a bit strange. I have traveled to Syracuse for work and, not quite sure why but, was booked here to spend the night. Got a ride here late, from the airport. Can't really say I've had a chance to see anything other than the staircase and the room, thus far. The room is nice enough. It seems like a nice old house, must be in a historic neighborhood. How sad is that, I don't even know where I am staying. We'll see how the place is in the morning, after breakfast, and write a proper review. For now, the room is nice enough. As far as a B&B goes, I just don't have much experience with this sort of thing to rate it. Big old antique bed, it's beautiful. The room is a room in an old house. It's got some old stuff in it, and some newer furniture, too. The bathroom is nice - modern.

We came in for the Ironman Syracuse weekend and were lucky to snag a room at this b&b before the big race day. The owner (I want to say his name was Philip?) was informative and personal, and our stay didn't fall short of expectations. The room was clean, the water was hot, the ice machine was heaping with ice for our bucket of....wine, and there was even a bowl of fresh fruit downstairs (huge plus for pre-race day). During our stay, there was another race couple there as well, and Philip was considerate enough to make them buttered pasta for a 4am race day breakfast. What a champion, that Philip. All on all, our stay was terrific, and the grounds are really romantic ;) oh ...and there was no mold on the towels.

Unfortunately, I could not find a Yelp review for the restaurant here. I asked the folks at the bar…read moreif they had a restaurant name to which I was given "salt city eatery". This review is regarding the restaurant only. The menu they offer does provide a nice array of food options. From seafood to steaks to burgers, salads, and soups, your choices are pretty vast. I was in the mood for a burger, so I got myself a burger, medium prepared with cheese. About 15 minutes later the burger arrived. It was quite well done and not very tasty. It did come with one wilted piece of lettuce, a tomato about the size of a quarter, and hardly enough cheese to call the cheeseburger. The brioche bun was toasted and very fresh. The french fries are on the better side of french fries. And they give you a lot of them. Though it was highly recommended by the server, I found it to be nothing special.

Deceitful, overpriced, and no longer customer-focused. Hilton is clearly cutting corners…read more We recently stayed for two nights (8/28-8/30) at a cost of more than $850, and our experience was incredibly disappointing. The most frustrating part of our stay was the hotel's questionable parking charge policy. We were charged $15 per day for parking, yet nobody at check-in asked whether we had driven to the hotel, arrived by rideshare, or had been dropped off. No one requested a vehicle description or a license plate number. The charge simply appeared. This felt less like a legitimate parking program and more like a convenient way to tack on extra fees to guests' bills. Adding to the frustration, the parking lot was largely empty during our stay, and Booking.com advertised free parking when we booked. Charging guests for parking without even confirming they have a vehicle is not just poor customer service, it's deceptive. The problems didn't stop there. My husband completed a digital check-in, only for us to arrive and learn that our room was not ready. We sat in the parking lot for nearly an hour. When I went inside to inquire, I was confronted by a group of approximately seven teenagers who appeared to have snuck into the hotel and were letting friends in through alternate entrances. We watched security repeatedly escort them out while they screamed profanities and threatened both me and the security staff. When I informed the front desk, I was casually told that these individuals frequently hang around the hotel and Destiny USA. Ironically, a room became available immediately after I complained, and the front desk admitted that the digital check-in system "doesn't really work well." Despite paying over $850 for two nights, our room was never serviced. Housekeeping never refreshed the coffee supplies, and we were never offered water at the front desk, a standard courtesy we have come to expect from Hilton. After my husband completed the post-stay survey and outlined these concerns, it took two days for Fernando, the Front Office Manager, to respond with a generic acknowledgment that they "understood our disappointment" and had "missed the mark." There was no explanation for the parking charges, no accountability, and no meaningful effort to address any of the issues raised. We have stayed at this property for years, but this visit made it clear that guest experience is no longer a priority. Between the misleading parking charges, poor service, lack of housekeeping, security concerns, and an indifferent management response, this hotel has become a poor value and a poor representation of the Hilton brand. If you're paying premium prices, look elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels that won't charge you questionable fees and then act as though your concerns are an inconvenience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this grand old hotel smack dab in the middle of Syracuse…read more Because of it's location they do not offer parking, but there are many lots all around the area. We found one that only charged us ten bucks for the night. We were in town for a concert at the Landmark, which is literally across the street. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom was roomy and clean.

We got a king suite with a separate kitchen and sitting area, as we were not leaving our room much due to surgery. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and there were a lot of pillows. You could have parked a Buick in the bathroom! We ended up being done with our medical appointments two day early. They were unable To refund our room (which they were not obligated to do anyway) but willingly gave us one free nights stay voucher. How wonderful is that! So accommodating and nice. The two staff ladies at the desk were so kind to us. This hotel has a "wall of fame" where you can see a few of the stars who have stayed there. It's in the heart of a city circle area where there are some shops and restaurants to walk to. Again, we were only able to leave for a bit (for our sanity) but it's location was perfect for a walk. We will definitely be back!

Wade, David, (drivers) Ted, and Val, y'all…read more Wade, David, (drivers) Ted, and Val . Corporate: stop what you're doing and give these guys a matching 401(k), company car, and a giant gold medal with a holiday to commemorate. Think about that feeling when your grandma's making you soup and you stayed home from school. That was the vibe. We were stranded in Syracuse after a looooong vacay that ended in Covid for all of us, kids included,---and when I say "kids" I mean a 5 & 8 -year-old who "just wanted to go hoooooooome", a.k.a. 3k miles away, after 2 weeks with our in-laws--u do the math. Could've been a hell on earth uation where we were ripping each other's heads off, but these people straight up kept us happy, fed, and didn't treat us like lepers despite the fact that we looked like hot garbage. They even drove us to the local pharmacy to get meds for the kids more than once. Not sure what people think about Hampton, but i used to think: dinky/ kitschy. FAKE NEWS YA'LL. We got better service and care here than I've had at any other resort around the world. These people genuinely cared about us, listened after we got bumped off 2 Flights and treated us like family. I would've had dinner w them. It wasn't just 1-2 people. It was literally everyone who worked there. On top of this we got free breakfast that actually tasted good. Biz services were legit and the team helped by printing things out correctly for me better than FedEx Kinko's does when it didn't work for me and I was under a tight deadline. They even chatted with me when I was about to lose my mind about work stuff. Who does that? So if you're looking for a place for a therapist, a couple new cousins, good breakfast for free, endless coffee that taste good, and legit empathy w/ those giant fluffy comforters, skip the four season--come here. Sidenote, my son left his cell phone there and they called us before we even knew we forgot it + mailed it across the country free of cost. These people would be seated right next to us at our Thanksgiving dinner table if they weren't 3k miles away. Way to be y'all. You made a crappy situation into a warm, comfy hug of a stay when our kids were losing it and we were basically hallucinating elephants due to that awesome COVID fever. Special place in heaven-not just Yelp- for these people.

Recently enjoyed a peaceful stay at the Hampton Inn in Syracuse…read more The hotel itself is squeaky clean and my room was beautifully quiet. The bed in my room wasn't terribly comfortable (it was doable but lots of waking up). Aside from that, my room was quite comfortable. The location is ten to fifteen minutes from downtown Syracuse, so it's relatively convenient if you have a rental car. The parking lot is well lit and arranged. There was nothing to differentiate itself from any other Hampton but I enjoyed a clean and relatively comfortable stay--so, good enough!
