This was the air filter...they change them once a year...maybe if they dusted their rooms, it would not look like this in a year's time.

The cleaning staff needs to be trained on how to clean a hotel room. It was like the place had not been dusted in years. Air filter was absolutely filthy...and their response is that "we are only required to change them once a year". Streaks, residue and dust all over pretty much every surface of suite. Stains on throw pillows. If you have allergies I would highly recommend you do NOT stay here. You will get sick! The evening concierge lady was awesome, the morning one (maybe the manager) is a "bare minimum" and argumentative person. She did not seem to really care about the state of my room and was quite dismissive and argumentative. I have a two week stay here...wish I would have booked an Airbnb or another hotel.

Honestly, this hotel was great! I found myself in Syracuse a few weeks ago because I won a trip there from the NY Times Travel Show. Yep..you heard me right, I won a trip to SYRACUSE. LOL. This city wasn't exactly on my bucket list but I figured what the hell. My free trip included a stay at the Jefferson Clinton. Great hotel! Great location! Actually, this hotel was the best part of the trip. Devon at the front desk was super professional, helpful and very pleasant. The rooms aren't super modern, but they are very clean, comfortable and a good size. Sadly, the room (executive suite) was bigger than my apt back in NYC =( The breakfast was amazing. Chef Billie made our omelets every morning. They were awesome...better than I've had most places at brunch. She was also super friendly and funny. I hope I never find myself in Syracuse again (I'm just way too used to big city action), but if I do...I will most definitely stay at the Jefferson Clinton. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming out this way!

As someone who's traveled quite a bit recently and, in turn, is pretty tired of staying in hotels...well, the Jefferson Clinton Hotel ended up as a delightful treat that was perfectly fit for my needs. While I have a general idea of the area (I knew this place was near the MOST, at least), I have to admit that I'm not especially familiar with Syracuse. I did need a hotel for a one-night stay though and booked this hotel on Expedia after comparing reviews and prices. Ended up in room #801 with a lovely view of the Armory building right outside my windows. Highlights: - Complimentary valet service (which is awesome, considering parking in this area can be *such* a pain) - Delightful and super helpful staff - 5pm check-in times ALSO mean later check-out time of 2pm (love this, especially since I usually get to hotels later in the day) - Great location near plenty of restaurants, cafes, pubs, or whatever else - Very clean rooms (including a rubber ducky waiting in the shower, which was adorable, ad an in-room air purifier) and comfortable furniture. - Free Wi-Fi - Random bonus of DVD player in the room (and the TV is very good quality as well), and yes... you can get DVDs and popcorn in the lobby area - Complimentary breakfast in the A.M. with made-to-order omelette station Honestly, the folks staffing this place go out of their way to make sure anyone staying there is comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again. Fab hotel.

I spent this past Saturday night here with some friends, celebrating a birthday. When I walked into my room, I noticed that the bed had not been changed. It looked like it had been slept in, the pillows and sheets were not even in the right spot. I am completely a non-confrontational person, but with COVID, I decided to call down to guest services to see if I could get new sheets. I spoke to a woman named Holly who immediately dismissed my concerns. I described to her that the bed looked like it was not changed from the previous guest, and she told me that the housekeeping supervisor checks every room before someone checks in, so it is impossible for my room to not be clean, and that sometimes the housekeepers do not tuck in/fold the sheets, so my bed looked the way that it did because of that. (My friends were staying in a room on a different floor, and I saw what their bed looked like...it was neatly made, unlike mine). Holly was rude, and did not listen to my concerns, even when I told her I was in no way trying to cause any issues. I even asked if I could just get new pillow cases, and I would deal with the rest of the unchanged bed...she said that I would have to come get the pillow cases myself from the lobby because she had a lobby full of people and, before I could respond to her, she hung up on me. FYI, I worked as a housekeeper for two summers, I know what a changed/clean bed should look like, and my housekeeping supervisor would NEVER okay a bed/room that looked like that. Accidents happen, and I am no way blaming the housekeeping staff. But the way I was treated by Holly was really disappointing. She knew we were in Syracuse to celebrate a 21st birthday, and I honestly think the reason why my concerns were dismissed was because we were young, (but in no way were we disrespectful/rude/causing problems), I was a guest and I still deserved to be treated with respect. I am attaching pictures I took of the bed when I first walked into the room. In the second photo, the only think I had touched was the big red pillow.

This is a historical hotel built in 1927 i believe...... Beautiful lobby and excellent rooms. We stayed in the presidential suite, which was very spacious and clean. It had a separate living area and bedroom as well as a bathroom. Bed was comfortable, there were two large televisions and a sectional that was good for lounging. Very comfortable

The staff here was very helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with when booking the conference room. They were equally helpful when I arrived and needed access. The room had a TV in it as well as a large table and it was comfortable for the all day meeting we had. Regarding my staff, checking in was great. The folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. They have an M Club here, which I visited a couple of times. I wanted bottled water, which they don't have in the M Club, rather you need to get it from the front desk. They use water refilling stations in the M Club, which I hate when staying in a hotel, I'd rather have the bottled water in the fridge in my room, so I'm glad they were able to accommodate me on this. The guy working the M Club both times I visited (in the evenings) was great, friendly too! The hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL! Honestly, I stay in hotels weekly and I'm pretty much done with the typical design of the average Marriott and this one breaks that mold! It's historic, beautifully renovated, perfectly operational, and centrally located. My room was very nice! They upgraded me to a suite and when they told me this during check in, I wasn't too impressed, as I hear that I'm "upgraded" all the time, but when I get to the room, they look typical. This room was HUGE! It had a living room, two king size bedrooms, and two full baths in it. The living room had a nice desk and plenty of seating for a family. There were also 3 TVs in this room. Bathrooms in the rooms were beautifully renovated to have a period look and they worked nicely. Housekeeping even did a nice job keeping everything polished in this room. Overall, I really enjoyed this stay. I'd most definitely return here in the future!

Corporate: stop what you're doing and give these guys a matching 401(k), company car, and a giant gold medal with a holiday to commemorate. Think about that feeling when your grandma's making you soup and you stayed home from school. That was the vibe. We were stranded in Syracuse after a looooong vacay that ended in Covid for all of us, kids included,---and when I say "kids" I mean a 5 & 8 -year-old who "just wanted to go hoooooooome", a.k.a. 3k miles away, after 2 weeks with our in-laws--u do the math. Could've been a hell on earth uation where we were ripping each other's heads off, but these people straight up kept us happy, fed, and didn't treat us like lepers despite the fact that we looked like hot garbage. They even drove us to the local pharmacy to get meds for the kids more than once. Not sure what people think about Hampton, but i used to think: dinky/ kitschy. FAKE NEWS YA'LL. We got better service and care here than I've had at any other resort around the world. These people genuinely cared about us, listened after we got bumped off 2 Flights and treated us like family. I would've had dinner w them. It wasn't just 1-2 people. It was literally everyone who worked there. On top of this we got free breakfast that actually tasted good. Biz services were legit and the team helped by printing things out correctly for me better than FedEx Kinko's does when it didn't work for me and I was under a tight deadline. They even chatted with me when I was about to lose my mind about work stuff. Who does that? So if you're looking for a place for a therapist, a couple new cousins, good breakfast for free, endless coffee that taste good, and legit empathy w/ those giant fluffy comforters, skip the four season--come here. Sidenote, my son left his cell phone there and they called us before we even knew we forgot it + mailed it across the country free of cost. These people would be seated right next to us at our Thanksgiving dinner table if they weren't 3k miles away. Way to be y'all. You made a crappy situation into a warm, comfy hug of a stay when our kids were losing it and we were basically hallucinating elephants due to that awesome COVID fever. The bed in my room wasn't terribly comfortable (it was doable but lots of waking up). Aside from that, my room was quite comfortable. There was nothing to differentiate itself from any other Hampton but I enjoyed a clean and relatively comfortable stay--so, good enough!

I ditched my Rent-A-Car because there's little or no parking and there's a lot of restaurants, shops and banks that are nearby - walkable. The appointments that I did have; I was able to take an Uber to. In the long run by not having the Rent-A-Car I saved money. Walking in downtown Syracuse is like walking in Manhattan or Brooklyn NY, without the crowds. You have to pay attention to your surroundings as there's a few sketchy people in the area. I see why they keep the front door secured. You need your key to get into the lobby. Since I was on the second floor, it is a bit noisy at night, but the room was very comfortable and I was happy that I was able to adjust my temperature to my preferred settings. The noise came from outside, not within the hotel. I wanted to clarify that. I was here for family business, but I spontaneously went to see Hamilton, which was fantastic and walking distance from the hotel at a discount rate.
