We have taken my daughter to this location for the past 2 or 3 months. She previously attended another Tutor Time branch in Mesa that is fantastic so we were hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, that has not been what we have received. The teachers here are nice enough, I do not believe anyone has been mean or has neglected my child. Unfortunately though, a rare few of them seem to really care about her. It feels like there are different teachers in her room almost every day. This isn't the teachers fault obviously, perhaps it is the way they are scheduled that I just don't understand. Either way, how can they know my child and provide her a personal experience when there is no consistency? There have been times where we have picked her up and she is wearing diapers. We have been trying to potty train her unsuccessfully due to again, lack of consistency. The front desk staff could care less if you are there or not. They rarely say hello or goodbye, so we never felt the warm, welcoming feeling we hoped for. I often find several people behind the desk that do not even acknowledge my presence. A few times I overheard staff having conversations about other families which makes me question their commitment to professionalism and privacy. For the money you will pay for childcare from Tutor Time, I think you should expect more. If you are okay with overpriced, mediocre care then this is your place. If not, there are many other options for the area in terms of preschools that are competitively priced. I would advise looking elsewhere if you want loving, attentive care for your children. read more

We are really happy with the daycare here. Our daughter has been going for a year now and we love it. She absolutely loves her teachers Ms. Corrina and Ms. Alexis so we are at ease knowing she's happy all day when we are gone. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for daycare. The prices, in my opinion, are fair and the kids get food and snacks. I do agree with some of the other reviews however. Frequently teachers are not in "their classroom" and this is confusing for parents and I can only imagine it's worse for the kids. I'm not blaming the teachers, I'm sure it has to do with staffing and so on but still I think it's an issue that needs to be a priority. I feel much better dropping my daughter off with a teacher that I've been introduced to and talked to. Our daughter is also potty training and doing really well. I agree with the other review that it's hard to be consistent and I have picked her up several times in a diaper. BUT I think that goes back to the lack of consistency in teachers and when I ask one teacher not to do it and then the next day there's new teachers it's hard to keep up with relaying messages. I do disagree about the front desk staff. I wouldn't say they are overly friendly and welcoming but they've never neglected me or not said hello. Everyone in the building seems to know my daughters name and says hello. Bottom line. I don't think there is any perfect daycare but I believe this place is pretty good. I know my daughter will be fed, taken care of and is getting attention. She comes home signing songs she's learned there or making animal noises they practiced with flash cards and I am satisfied knowing she didn't watch tv all day. read more

I only put a 1 star because I wasn't allowed to put 0..... if you have a infant DO NOT put them in this daycare especially if your child needs a little more attention with adjusting to the new environment (fussy, confused, whiny, uncomfortable) my daughter was enrolled there and her 3rd day there I took her out of there. The ladies in the infant room especially the 6am teacher has a nasty attitude and 0 patience. My daughter is almost 4 months and of course isn't used to a daycare so will require more patience and attention due to being fussy until shes used to it instead they allowed her to cry and scream to the top of her lungs in the crib alone or will place her in the rocker or flat on the floor on her back and allow her to scream and cry until she's puking on herself from screaming instead of trying to console her and find out what will soothe... after all isn't that your job?!?! To care for kids and make them feel comfortable and safe?!... My last draw was today when I watched on the cameras the 2 ladies have a conversation for numerous of minutes NOT TENDING TO NOR HOLDING OTHER KIDS while my daughter layed in the crib alone screaming this went on for atleast 10mins or more (long enough for me to drive there from work) & The hurt and rage I felt was unbearable. when I addressed the rude heffa she complained about me messaging them through out the day "telling them what to do" as if what she was doing was working and as if I don't know my child! Please please please do not take your infant here! They just hire inexperienced, impatient, rude, untrustworthy, lazy young adults who are clearly only there for a check. Also the director was supposed to give me a call to address the situation but have yet to do so. I'm a first time mom and this first experience was the worst. smh! pathetic! read more

Ms. Lacey and Ms. Corrina are beyond fabulous. Do you know what it's like to have a 1 year old AND a 2 year old??? It's insane and these women choose to work with them and love on them and teach them on a daily basis. As a foster mom I worry about the behaviors my kids have and the trouble and anxiety they face in new situations and these ladies have gone above and beyond to help my little ones adjust to their new environment. I feel so lucky to have found them. Let me not forget Ms. Gail in the infant room who goes out of her way to make me feel like I have family caring for the baby. As a foster mom I have had children with all sorts of health issues and she communicates and shares possible solutions to help me. read more

I 100% would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone looking for care for a toddler. There are very few competent teachers working at this school and they do not care about your children in the slightest. My son did not have behavioral issues other than the occasional toddler tantrum before he started school here. He was not written up at his prior tutor time to this degree either. In less than 6 months of attending this school, he went from a happy and easygoing kid to someone I didn't even recognize. His teachers did nothing to help and the director did not step in until I was getting calls daily to pick him up early which only reinforced the bad behavior. Their idea of discipline is to shake their hand no at the kids and that's it or send them home. No redirection, no addressing underlying issues, no one-on-one conversations. Bryssa was the worst teacher he has had and she was rude to my child. She would not even a acknowledge him when I would drop him off. They went so far as to accuse my child of using profanity he's never been exposed to and writing him up for it. That was the final straw and I took him out of his school. His behavior immediately improved and I have none of the issues at home he had at this school. This school only wants your money. They don't value their teachers or the students. If you could even call them students- this is a glorified babysitting service. I have a lot of videos of my child being ignored and the children acting like animals in the classroom or the teachers flat out failing to help my son. Their structured activities are almost non-existent as well as potty training. You'd better expect to do it all on your own while your child is home. I'd send him to school in underwear and he'd be put back in a pull up immediately. 0/10. read more

If there's any downfall to this school, it's that it's really big. Sometimes details fall through the cracks with the front office administration, but that's life. They always correct it, and are all so sweet. That said, our family loves Miss Corrina and Miss Alexis!!! They're the best! They're so interactive in class and do the cutest little projects. My daughter has been going to this location since she was an infant. The teachers here are amazing. They have loved on my little girl since day one. They were always flexible with her court ordered CPS visits and always kept me apprised of her condition when she would return. She is now in the two year old class room with ms. Alexis and ms. Corrina. They take such good care of her. I would be lost without them. I am so thankful to the support her teachers have given us while we fought for our girl and we love the joy they shared with us when we got to adopt her!! read more

I'd heard bad things about chain daycares like this one but we wanted to check it out for ourselves and make our own decision. I'm glad we did. We loved this Tutor Time from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The staff is extremely friendly and know us by name. There had been a billing mix-up where we'd paid too much and we wouldn't have been the wiser if they hadn't of told us. They are very honest and applied the credit to our account. I enjoy the daily report cards I get of what my daughter did and ate as well as how she felt and acted. Her classroom is very clean and the teachers are very attentive. When we get ready in the morning all I have to say is "Let's go to school" and my daughter drops what she's doing and comes to the door like she's anxious to go see her friends and teachers. She's happy when she comes home and I believe that's because she's well-cared for during the day. This helps me go to work without worrying about my baby =) read more

This is a second family to us we love the facility Nina is an awesome director the whole staff is the best. They all greet you every time you walk in and it always smells so good when you come in. I have been taking my children here for more than 7 years and I will continue to do so. I especially love the communication between parents and teachers it's always so clean and they have it decorated according to the holidays.They have a great learning plan for each classroom and you can call through out the day to check on your child without feeling like your bugging them . Issue after issue! We enrolled our daughter at 4 months. They were flexible with our schedule and we had an employer subsidy for the facility, which were our main reasons for enrolling. But, they don't follow parent requests. They would feed my vegetarian daughter chicken, and no matter how many times we told them no juice, I would be dumping juice out of her cup at the end of the day. We had an issue in the 12-18month toddler room with the way the teacher handled and spoke to the kids in a frustrated state. Our final straw came when I went to pick up my 5 month old and walked in on them putting him for a nap - on his tummy. Safe sleep guidelines state no infant should be placed on their tummy for sleep prior to age 1 (unless they roll themselves to that position). It is against state licensing regulations to place and infant on their tummy, as well as not recommended by the AAP. The teacher in question blamed another teacher who "told me he sleeps on his belly", the director stated they "get lax with the rules" at times and after we filed a formal complaint with the state we were told that rather than take responsibility for their action and admit further training is need for staff, they claimed our son put himself on his tummy. Yes, let's blame the infant. Nevermind he a) hadn't rolled yet, b) in 2 days of discussions you never once said it was him until a complaint was filed and c) I caught you redhanded, standing over his crib. Disgusted with the events and the outcome. Do not recommend this facility if you care about the safety of your children, your requests being followed or your child being in a loving/caring environment where they are treated with respect. My first visit to Tutor Time in Goodyear was to pick up paperwork for a trial. I walked in and no one greeted me. There were around 5 staff members behind the desk. 2 were sitting on top of the desk on their cellphones and the other one's were waiting to see who would help me...At least, that's what it seemed like. So I grabbed the paperwork and thought maybe something was going on...Maybe it was just an off day. So we took our son for a trial day. When we came to pick him up (again, no one greeted me. No customer service whatsoever) at 12:02pm he was napping...but he was sniffling and crying in his sleep. He looked like he had been crying for a long time. The staff members in charge of my son's class were on their cellphones. Nap-time according to Tutor Time is at 12:00pm. So for my son to be crying in his sleep at 12:02pm they must've started trying to get him to sleep much earlier...maybe because they needed to be on their cellphones. I asked the person in my son's class what he ate for lunch and how he was. The answer I got was, "I don't know, I just got here so I don't know how he was or what he ate." In another class there were two kids wrestling with each other...the staff member with that class wasn't even concerned by the fact that these two were roughing each other up right in her class. The staff seemed like a bunch of people (teens) who needed jobs and just picked this one up. No one seems to truly care for the children or have any passion working with children. I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever take my child here ever ever ever again. read more

This is the worst place I haver taken my child! They made her feel bad everyday. When I dropped her off she cried an when I picked her up she was crying! They were putting her in time outs and they r not suppost to do that! They put her on the side line outside when all the other kids played! They belittle her all the time put her in the office! They don't have a full curriculum every day. One day is math another is reading etc. So if you go part time don't expect for your child to get any consistent learning experience. Three out of the 6 hours for part time in the first part of the day is not class time. From 8-9 its breakfast when it really should only be a half hour and what about the kids who eat before they come to school? They don't do anything for that time you pay for. Lunch is expected that's an hr from 11-12. Then they have nap time from 12-1. I have been there at 1:20 and the kids are still asleep so why is that? I know , a waste of time so they don't have to do anything with them. I don't know about you but unless they are real little kids they don't need nap time. My child is 4 and he doesn't take a nap in the day anymore. Why should kids have to take a nap after only 3 hours of learning? After nap its all play time for the rest of the day. So if you need part time school starting at noon then your kid will take a nap first thing for an hour or more then play the rest of the day and NO learning. All in all your child gets 3 hours of one subject a day and that's it. If you go only three times a week then your child misses the other subjects for the other days. Its not worth it to me and I will be taking him to a public preschool for consistent learning. p.s. I would also just like to add that my aunt was offended because the woman had asked how I heard about the place and I said, "my grandmother" and she asked, "is this your grandmother?" My aunt is not even very old at all, she's 41 and so it was awkward and she was very much offended. Also the woman giving the tour farted while we were talking. My daughter is in Miss Corrina & Miss Alexis' room and I always leave the school feeling so comfortable knowing she is being taken care of. She literally runs to them and asks to see them on the days she doesn't make it to school. My daughter also refers to them as her best friends and always greets them with the biggest hugs every morning! They've taught my daughter so much since she's been in their class from nursery rhymes to using the potty & being comfortable using it even if we're out in public. I'm so thankful to have them as her teachers!! read more

I was looking for a preschool for my three year old son, I wanted him to be around other children his own age, and learn most importantly.. so I enroll him in tutor time. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The director was very sweet and informative. The two preschool teachers seem very nice and seem like they will help and teach my three year old son in expanding his knowledge. SO I THOUGHT!!! The first three days my son did not cry when I drop him off the following week he would repeat over and over to me he did not want to go to school anymore and would cry when I drop him off. And I would come to find out why my son did not want to be in that classroom with those two preschool teachers anymore. I had my sister pick up my son from preschool. When she walked in she observed one of the teachers yelling and screaming very angrily at my son he was in tears . My sister was shocked to see how this preschool teacher actions were towards a little three year old boy . The teacher was so speechless after seeing my sister she repeatedly was apologizing to her and saying this won't ever happen again. She was caught in action yelling at my son. I right away pulled him out of tutor time and spoke to the director. Parents trust these strangers (teachers) to treat their children right not to get treated bad. read more

I was previously employed by this Tutor Time and left because of how horrible it was. I will NEVER recommend Tutor Time to anyone! In fact, I make sure it is known to not take your children here. Now, this is not a review based on negative feelings toward a previous job. I resigned over a year ago and just can't get over how horrifying it was to work here and see how these children are really cared for. The management cares more about their quota and paycheck than the kids. I, after only being employed for two months, was writing the preschool curriculum because it was being reused every month, so kids were not learning anything new. School Age didn't even do a curriculum; it was more of a play time after school, which is NOT worth the money being payed to enroll kids here. Worst of all are the teachers, not all are bad, but many talk down to the kids, yell at kids, and even put them in other classrooms after telling them that they're bad and they don't want them! Now, being an expecting mother I fear putting my child into any large daycare center from working here. What parents see and what the employees see are two very different things. Please, if you want to find the care your child/children deserve DO NOT bring them here!! read more

We took our son out of this facility when he was around 2-3 years old. While attending this facility, he came home with at least 1-2 incident report per month. The classrooms are always almost at their maximum limit for the amount of children per caregiver per class. Lastly, we took our son out because he came home one day saying "Mr. Tyler hit me with a rock". We didn't see a big bump or bruise, just a little red mark which we dismissed until my son said something. We went to the director to find out what happened. Their answer was very vague and initially informed us that instructor/caregiver didn't know what we were talking about. After further inquires, the director said that my son was not even in that instructor's class, so we asked which class was he in the day the incident occured. They replied "we don't know". This was completely unacceptable! I know that they combine classes depending on the amount of kids per classroom. However, not keeping track of my son is completely unacceptable. Not only that, they were very defensive and seemed unwilling to even investigate our inquiries. We pulled our son out the same day, they were unable to tell us which class my son was in and enrolled him in Goddard School. Since my son has been attending Goddard School, he's only had about 4 incident report, he's happy, and actually learning including Spanish and sign language. I regret not pursuing that incident further, but unfortunately documenting any physical evidence at that time was the least of our priorities. read more
