We intentionally paid for all five days so we would always have Monday and Friday available if family plans fell through. About a month ago, our needs changed and we requested care Monday-Thursday, giving two weeks' notice. We were told she needed time to figure it out because she had already filled Monday/Friday with another child -- despite us actively paying to reserve those days. We tried to be flexible and worked out coverage for Mondays temporarily, then followed up to confirm a new start schedule. We received no response. When we asked again in person at drop-off, we were unexpectedly told we were being dropped from care entirely. At that point, we were also told our child had ongoing issues with sleep, eating, and being "too needy" -- none of which had ever been communicated to us previously during pick-ups, drop-offs, or messages. These concerns only surfaced after we asked to use the additional days we were already paying for. Overall, this experience showed a lack of communication, disregard for a signed agreement, and poor handling of scheduling. Being double-booked on days we paid for and then dropped with no prior warning broke our trust completely. While a short transition period was offered, the way this was handled made it very difficult to feel comfortable continuing in any capacity. I would not recommend this daycare based on our experience.

This means I have now experienced childcare in 3 different rooms at this center and at different stages of my child's development. I chose Wirtzies because when we walked the center the assistant director at the time acknowledged children with their names as we walked through. She showed that the staff there would care about my child and treat them like a little human and not just a child. My gut felt that this would be a good place. They offer an inner generational program where the children have time with the elderly adults in their day program. This also was something that was of interest to me. My gut was right. They care about my child. My child has learned so much from them that he wouldn't learn at home. I get pictures and updates from them regularly. There have been incidents where he is hurt or hurts someone else. But you would be hard pressed to find a parent who watches their own child and never gets hurts. You can't watch your child 24 hours a day and neither can they with a state ratio of 5 to 1. They have addressed each incident appropriately. They care about my child and that is worth anything I need to pay them but they are affordable. I know they also offer state subsidized care if needed. My child is happy there. He loves his friends and his teachers. He even loves the ladies at the front desk.

Knows how to follow directions at home. I now love watching her sing and dance by herself. She is excited to go to school in the mornings and gets sad on days she doesn't have school. Andrea and Vanessa have made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Outstanding teachers/caregivers are very rare. Hats off to Andrea! She just knows what my daughter needs (as if she has known her longer than a few months!) Vanessa with her kind smile, is there to help my daughter feel secure that she can wear her backpack till she's ready to take it off. Seriously, the teamwork that has been developed in this class is what any parent would hope for. To all the other ladies as well, I just wanted to give a huge thank you for guiding my daughter in this class! I am forever grateful! I drive away every morning knowing my daughter is in excellent hands!

Despite having a 504 Plan, my child's documented accommodations--including dietary needs and reminders to drink water--were not consistently followed. Academically, reading instruction occurred only twice per week, which led to significant delays and was especially concerning given the school's small class size and private setting. There was a noticeable lack of individualized academic support. Supervision and school culture were also troubling. On multiple occasions, staff did not assist my child during drop-off. Inappropriate behavior and language among students went unaddressed, including name-calling from older students. A teacher's response that this behavior "meant they loved her" was deeply concerning and unacceptable. Communication was inconsistent and often unclear. Progress reports were repeatedly delayed and, when finally received, contradicted prior conversations about my child's academic struggles. Additionally, my child's tutor identified academic deficiencies that had never been communicated by the school, and there were inconsistencies between staff regarding her progress. Overall, this experience showed a lack of accountability, communication, and appropriate support. Families should ask detailed questions about accommodations, academic intervention, and how student behavior is handled before enrolling.

Great Beginnings has been nothing but a pleasure to be apart of. Day in and day out, I know that the people in that place are filled with light and God's glory. There has NEVER been a moment where I did not trust or depend on a GB teacher to guide my children accordingly. Specifically, Ms. Mandy has prepared 2/3 of my kids for pre-k and has done nothing but a wonderful job. She has challenged them, loved on them, and prepared them to know what to expect in Kindergarten. (And I'm not sure if you know what the education system is like nowadays but it's ROUGH). Realizing that there are moments where she needed to be tough to ensure that my child would be successful was apart of my job as the PARENT. I knew for a fact that she had no ill intent. She is HIGHLY qualified for the job, as both of my boys are gifted in Math. Let me echo this again, She knows what she is doing. I have recommended countless families to GB and will continue to do so. Pleasing everyone in this world is impossible. She would come home with poop in her underwear due to not wiping correctly and no teachers helping or watching her go poop. That last straw for me was when I went to pick up my baby not a single teacher could tell me where she was just that she was on the playground somewhere and I found her on the playground being STRANGLED by another classmate!!! With not a single teacher in ear shot of my baby screaming trying to get away from this child. I had to run to my babies rescue and rip this other child off of her!!! This place is to not be trusted.
