This means I have now experienced childcare in 3 different rooms at this center and at different stages of my child's development. I chose Wirtzies because when we walked the center the assistant director at the time acknowledged children with their names as we walked through. She showed that the staff there would care about my child and treat them like a little human and not just a child. My gut felt that this would be a good place. They offer an inner generational program where the children have time with the elderly adults in their day program. This also was something that was of interest to me. My gut was right. They care about my child. My child has learned so much from them that he wouldn't learn at home. I get pictures and updates from them regularly. There have been incidents where he is hurt or hurts someone else. But you would be hard pressed to find a parent who watches their own child and never gets hurts. You can't watch your child 24 hours a day and neither can they with a state ratio of 5 to 1. They have addressed each incident appropriately. They care about my child and that is worth anything I need to pay them but they are affordable. I know they also offer state subsidized care if needed. My child is happy there. He loves his friends and his teachers. He even loves the ladies at the front desk.

Knows how to follow directions at home. I now love watching her sing and dance by herself. She is excited to go to school in the mornings and gets sad on days she doesn't have school. Andrea and Vanessa have made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Outstanding teachers/caregivers are very rare. Hats off to Andrea! She just knows what my daughter needs (as if she has known her longer than a few months!) Vanessa with her kind smile, is there to help my daughter feel secure that she can wear her backpack till she's ready to take it off. Seriously, the teamwork that has been developed in this class is what any parent would hope for. Once we met them and could see how much love and care they had for the kids we knew this was where we need to be. Mrs Stoetzel runs a tight and organized ship. Both of my boys were loved and cared for and they had so much fun while learning so much to be prepared for kinder. I feel that they not only learned what they needed academically but also learned important skills of loving and caring for others as well as their community. The church is also very supportive and collaborate with WOL Preschool to put on family events several times a year. We will definitely return during summer breaks for VBS and summer camp.

Both my special needs son and my daughter have attended since they were 18months old. They put on family events each month for fall festival, Christmas, Water Days and so family picnics. My little girl loves going to school and is going to be well prepared for kindergarten. She knows her alphabet, counts almost to 30, knows all her colors, does crafts daily and even learns to love Jesus through music, prayer and church time. We intentionally paid for all five days so we would always have Monday and Friday available if family plans fell through. About a month ago, our needs changed and we requested care Monday-Thursday, giving two weeks' notice. We were told she needed time to figure it out because she had already filled Monday/Friday with another child -- despite us actively paying to reserve those days. We tried to be flexible and worked out coverage for Mondays temporarily, then followed up to confirm a new start schedule. We received no response. When we asked again in person at drop-off, we were unexpectedly told we were being dropped from care entirely. At that point, we were also told our child had ongoing issues with sleep, eating, and being "too needy" -- none of which had ever been communicated to us previously during pick-ups, drop-offs, or messages. These concerns only surfaced after we asked to use the additional days we were already paying for. Overall, this experience showed a lack of communication, disregard for a signed agreement, and poor handling of scheduling. Being double-booked on days we paid for and then dropped with no prior warning broke our trust completely. While a short transition period was offered, the way this was handled made it very difficult to feel comfortable continuing in any capacity. I would not recommend this daycare based on our experience.
